"W-How can that be?" Darren's eyes glared wide.
In front of his eyes, the village that was once small and only filled with houses of straw, had now become a large and crowded city.
"It's still the same village, right?!" Shouted Darren again. He still couldn't believe what he saw. He kept his eyes closed and opened them, but what he saw was reality.
"I also thought so at first. It's unbelievable" said Akira.
Darren turned to Ravenna. "Ravenna, did you build all this?"
"Of course not" replied Ravenna. "The rest of the people helped me too. This is also thanks to the spirit you left on this land."
"Eh, me?"
"Yes. A passion for uniting humans and monsters. And at this point, your ambition will begin. I'm sure someday we can make the world you aspire to be" Ravenna said with a big smile.
"I'm glad to hear that. To be honest, I'm really amazed by all this. But, there's something I want to ask from now on" Darren replied.
"Please ask."
"Who's that guy next to you?" Darren pointed at the tall-bodied man with a spear in his hand. Some parts of his skin looked rough like scales.
The man nodded with a surprised face. "Darren-sama, did you forget about me?!"
"Eh, did we ever meet?"
Ravenna laughed out loud, while the man put on a parched face.
"She's Kanrei loh" Ravenna said.
"Canary? Eh!? Kanrei the lizardmen?!" Darren was surprised too. "What happened to your old appearance?"
Tora emerged from behind the crowd. "Lizardmen, yes. I think I know," he said. Everyone's attention was immediately drawn to him.
Tora. "They have a special ability to adapt. The village was once filled only by lizardmen. But as things evolve, more and more people stop here, slowly changing their way of life to suit their environment. Then, it affects their physical appearance."
Darren nodded. "Ahh, mimikri yes. I get it anyway, because they're basically some kind of lizard."
"Then Darren, are they your traveling companions?" Ravenna turned her head towards Tora, Shiro, and Hain.
Tora bows. "Izin introduced himself, my name is Tora. I met Darren-sama at Friedlich. I'm sure Akira-sama knows me too."
Akira nodded. "Ah, yes. I remember you and that animal man. But it looks like Tomatsu isn't coming with you guys anymore huh."
"Well, there's a little trouble on the way. But everything's fine" Cut Darren.
Then Shiro stepped forward. "Include me, my name is Shiro. I saved Darren-sama from the bandits. If there wasn't him, I might still be languishing behind the bars of slavery."
Ravenna. "Oh, you. I've heard of you from the animal humans who came at that time" he said. He then turned to look at Hain. "Then, you?"
"I'm Hain, a demon. I met Darren at Avon" Hain said.
"A-avon?!" Akira and Ravenna shouted in unison. "Such far away too. How did you meet?"
Hain smiling. "Well, our meeting at that time was arguably in a hostile condition" he replied.
"Eh, not friendly?"
"Yes. It was a war..."
Ravenna instantly launched her arm at Darren's collar and pulled him.
"Darren, what exactly have you been through?"
Darren only chuckled awkwardly, while trying to hold back the laughter of seeing Ravenna's reaction being so funny.
"By my mind, Avon should be shutting down, right? If it is not wrong, there are a few problems that occur in his government," Sahut Akira while stroking his chin.
Hain nodded. "really. To be honest, our country is in a major crisis. There was a civil war over the sheep fighting on the part of the Eastern Holy Church. I was one of the rebel strongholds against the government. And Darren joined in there, too."
Akira looked at Darren. "But, Darren, what exactly is your reason for going to the demon continent? I always thought about this. What's more Tomatsu that was supposed to take you, now it's gone. And also, about the Demon King chasing you..."
Ravenna looked up. "Demon King?! W-What actually happened?"
The laughter on Darren's face slowly faded away. He knew, once he heard the question, it was time to get serious. Because from the beginning, he did plan to explain everything to them.
"One-way. We're going to have a banquet for Akira to come here. Maybe we can discuss everything there."

Plates lined up on the side of the pangjang table that stretched in the middle of the room. Complete with luxurious wooden chairs, with padded pads on the back and buttocks.
"I heard that there is a guest from Friedlich coming" said a woman in maid clothes, who also has scaly skin in some parts.
"Looks yes. The time on the street I saw Ravenna-sama walking with a masked person. I think we met him a few months ago" a goblin in a waiter's uniform said. "It looks like there's going to be a serious conversation."
"Huff, I hope his arrival brings good news. But, I'd rather Darren-sama come home soon."
The goblin was embracing the woman's arm. "Don't worry, Riuku. I'm sure Darren-sama will definitely not forget us."
"Yes, I hope so. Thank you, Garu."
After neatly arranging the glasses and dishes, the two of them were startled by the sound of hordes of people walking in.
"Welcome," Riuku and Garu bowed respectfully, welcoming those who arrived.
A giant goblin with a hard green skin entered the room, followed by several others. Like a white Lizardmen and an animal man. The three of them, were the heads of each tribe in this middle forest city.
"Garu, you look like you fit into your uniform" praised the giant goblin, otherwise known as Tugo the Goblin King.
"Thank you, Tugo-san."
"No, I mean you're a great fit to be a waitress, ha ha ha..."
"Eh!-"
"Tugo, you son of a bitch. Though he is your own subordinate" Tegur Kaido, the white Lizardmen. As usual, his appearance was like that of an ascetic descending from the top of a hill.
"But it looks like Ravenna is still not coming. So did the envoy from Friedlich. Maybe we should sit down first and wait" said the chief of the animal tribe.
"Calp, Nigel. I know," replied Tugo, as the three of them sat down to their seats.
A few minutes later, the door from the other side also opened. All eyes immediately turned toward the door.
"They have arrived."
Ravenna walked in with thunderous steps, followed by Akira behind her who was guided by several soldiers.
However, it was a figure in the back row that kept attracting their attention.
"Hello, everybody. Long time no see," Darren waved. Instantly everyone stood up with dumbfounded faces.
"D-Darren-sama?!" Shouted them in unison.
"Everyone, quickly sit back in their respective places. Darren-sama wants to talk about something important," Ravenna tried to dampen the crowd.
Ravenna and Akira walked towards their seats, while Darren stood in front of the table with Shiro and the others.
For a glimpse, he felt so nostalgic that he could meet his old friends. The familiar faces, and the feeling of being connected, made him almost shed tears. But the conditions he wanted to talk about were more important.
"First of all, I'm so happy to see you again" Darren opened the conversation. "For me, you are precious friends. However, to date, I still hide one very important secret from you guys."
Everyone was stunned to see Darren's face, waiting for him to say his next sentence.
Darren slowly took a breath. "I.e.," he said, looking deeply at them, "Come from another world."
