"It's almost afternoon. But the rain never stopped either" Riana said as she stared out the window. "Is sister okay?"
Bruaks! Suddenly a loud voice sounded from the direction of the room. It sounded like the sound of something falling on the ground. Hearing that, Riana immediately ran up to him.
"What's wrong?" Riana opened the door of the room where Michael was.
Michael was on the floor. He was curled up with one hand holding his stomach.
Riana quickly approached him. He then carried her on the bed and immediately poured her food.
"Eat," said Riana.
Even in this critical condition, Michael still refused. Stubbornly he refused the food, though clearly his stomach was sounding loudly.
"Don't be a prank!" Riana instantly pulled Michael's face, forcibly opened her mouth, and put food into it.
Michael was about to throw food in his mouth. But his mouth started moving on its own. He chewed the food and then swallowed it.
"Why am I?" Ask him to himself. "Is it because I'm starving? No way! I must refuse this devil food. I'm not su... Ahh, that's delicious."
Unconsciously, the food had run out. Michael ate it voraciously through Riana's mouthful.
"Finally you eat too" Riana smiled. He then took a glass of water and gave it to Michael.
Michael immediately gulped it down. After eating and drinking, he felt his body feel much fresher. Even though his feet are still numb.
"God..." Michael was satisfied. He could no longer deny that he was hungry.
Riana kept looking at him with a happy face. He felt happy because Michael finally received his kindness, even if only once.
Michael put down the glass. He glanced at Riana and realized that the woman continued to stare at him nonstop from now on.
"He's this..." Michael spoke in his heart. "The food has no poison. But why is he smiling like that? Did anything make her happy?"
All Michael thought about the devil was negative things. Even just seeing Riana smile for no reason, could make her suspicious.
"There must be something. He can't be happy for no reason. He must have done something to me. That's why he's happy."
Riana suddenly spoke. "How's my cooking?"
Michael hesitated to answer. "Normally, '" he answered briefly.
"But you're so greedy to eat it," continued Riana. "It's okay. What matters is that you want to eat."
Michael clenched his hand. "Tell me the truth! What's your plan? What have you done to me?"
Riana's surprised. "I? I'm just feeding you."
"There's no way you're doing it for no reason. You must have had some evil intentions. Do you want to use me to invade the human continent?"
Riana tilted her face. "Huh?" His confused expression was very plain.
Seeing that Michael immediately retracted his accusation. He lowered his face while wondering what the true motive of this demon was.
"He's not lying. His expression was different from the demons I had interrogated. But this one, it shows no sign of fear or guilt whatsoever."
Riana stood up. He walked to the open window. A strong wind came crashing down from outside and blew the curtains brutally. He immediately closed it and walked back to Michael.
"What's out of the rain?" Michael asked spontaneously.
Riana was a bit surprised at first because Michael was willing to talk. He immediately replied to her. "Yes. It's been since."
"That's it," said Michael softly. Meanwhile, in his mind, "Rain. I can use the noise of the rain to escape without being caught. Now that I have also eaten, then should my energy and strength be recovered slowly."
But suddenly Michael's attention was fixed on Riana's expression. His face looked agitated and anxious. At first Michael thought, is it possible that the devil does not like the rain?
"You why?" Ask Michael. For him every piece of information could be a good weapon. He also thought of gathering as much information.
"My sister," Riana replied listlessly. "He hasn't come home yet."
"Sister? You got a sister?"
"Yes. He's my only brother. He is now guarding the village's border with the forest."
"The forest? Maybe it could be my escape."
Michael continues. "Acchem... Where is the forest?"
Riana answered. "On the south side. My sister was there with two friends. But somehow I feel like something's going on."
Michael cheered in his heart. "Finally, I might be able to get out of here."
The rain was falling more and more. The wind was blowing so hard that it suddenly threw down the closed window. Now the rainwater comes in and soaks the entire room.
Riana was surprised not to be a bitch. He quickly ran to the window to close it, but a person outside caught his attention.
"O-Sister!?" Riana's surprised. He closed the window and left.
He immediately ran out with an umbrella and approached his older brother who looked exhausted.
Michael just watched them from the window. Just this time Michael saw his sister Riana. But the movements he emitted made Michael a little agitated.
Ari looks very tired. He even fell into Riana's arms as her sister approached him with an umbrella. Then Ari whispered something in Riana's ear.
Ariana's subsequent expression convinced Michael that something must have happened.
"What's really going on? It can even make the demons panic," Inner Michael.
Riana is seen running back to the house, while Ari goes to the houses. The young man continued to visit one by one the house and shouted with all his might warning them something.
"What's this?" Michael asked as Riana came to him.
"The monsters, they're coming" Riana replied as she packed up some of her belongings.
Michael smiled a little. "Heh, there's-there's just. Monsters are afraid of monsters" said little Michael.
"Of course we're scared. They are undead. No one can understand the movements of the undead."
"Undead, yeah."
Riana then took out a pair of wooden sticks that some parts had been modified. At the end, a slightly thick cloth is placed as a support arm.
"You still can't walk. Use this!" Riana said as she gave the wooden stick.
"Why, why did I run away. It's appropriate for a knight not to run away from the fight" Michael replied arrogantly.
"Of that, just use it. Throw away your knight's thoughts first" Riana replied. "By the way, you can't fight. So, it's better to run away than to die in vain."
Riana immediately carried her bag and walked towards the door. There he turned and waited for Michael to walk.
"Let's hurry!"
Michael stared at the stick in his hand. He also breathed.
"alright. This time it's just."
He tried to stand on both sticks. After successfully balancing himself, he tried to walk slowly until finally able to walk a little better.
Michael and Riana walked from the house, in the rain with thunder everywhere. The storm is raging more violent, but Riana still confirms her view to move forward with Michael.
From a distance, the two of them saw the residents begin to gather with Ari directing them. They all gathered in the middle of the village crossroad and were ready to leave.
"Sister," Call Riana as soon as you see Ari.
Ari turned and said, "Riana." He then fell silent for a moment while glancing at Michael. "You brought him?"
Ari scrunched up her face a little. But he immediately threw it away. "Ah, stop. What matters is that we get out of here."
They're getting ready to leave. Ari appears to record every villager, assisted by his sister. They want to make sure no one is left behind.
Michael just watched it, while standing awkwardly with his cane. Amidst the heavy rain, his gaze was stunned at the villagers.
"They, fear..." Michael said in his heart. "They're shaking. They doubt. They're desperate."
Michael then shook his face. "Ah no. They're just demons. They are evil creatures. Just because now almost all Demon Lords had died, they had no protectors anymore. I must not forget what they have done in the past, to make Man suffer."
As Michael was busy with his own thoughts, suddenly something pulled the tip of his pants. Michael nodded straight at me.
"Om Kesatyiya," A child demon with innocent eyes, hugged his ankles with a grim face. "Om kesatyiya kuwat right?"
Michael just fell silent, stunned at the sight he had never felt.
The little devil continued. "Boom om kuwat, om sehayusya can yawan monsey."
Michael was silent a thousand words. He doesn't know what to say. For some reason, the little devil seemed to remind him of something. Something he had long forgotten.
"Rio, don't go far, son!" A demonic mother came and immediately embraced the child. "Don't get close to that knight. It's dangerous."
The boy pulled his mother away. Even so, the little boy continued to look back while staring at Michael who was staring under the torrent of rain.
"Is everything ready?" Ari asked while checking on the citizens. "We have to go now. The small wall that holds them will not be**-"
"Ari, look!" One of the residents shouted. "They've come."
Justright. When Ari turned around, it appeared that in the rain the zombie horde had appeared. They arrived sooner than expected.
"S-Damn, they're fast, '" Ari said as he pulled his bow. "Everyone who can fight, get ready! We must protect the children and the elderly!"
Some young men and fathers, mostly hunters and loggers, came forward with their weapons. They used arrows and axes.
"Riana, you can use recovery magic, right? Please use it when someone is hurt!" Ari's orders.
"Well, understood," said Riana.
The zombies are getting closer. The villagers did not remain silent. They started launching attacks. The archers stood in the back row, while the axe-wielders charged forward.
Ari led the army with great courage. In his heart he knew that there was almost no chance for them to win.
"Damn, our numbers are outnumbered. Although the undead had no strategy and no tactics, their numbers pushed us to the edge."
"If this is how I doubt, is it better to fight or flee? I'm not sure we can get away with them either."
A slashh! The fight was very fierce. Many fighters are starting to get hurt and overwhelmed. No matter how much they swung their weapons, the undead seemed to be undiminished.
"Non-Elemental Spell: Heal!" Riana cast her spell.
He healed the fighters on a wide scale. The wounds they received were slowly closing. But even so, healing magic would not restore their energy.
Some fighters have died. Bodies were also lying on the ground. Their blood flowed through the puddles of water covering the ground turning red.
"The people seem exhausted. But, the number of enemies is still a lot," Inner Ari. "It was only a matter of time, until we were exhausted and unable to fight anymore."
Ari glanced at her sister. A small puff of steam could be seen as Riana breathed. Judging from the rhythm of her breathing, Riana was extremely exhausted.
"Great, Riana was exhausted as well. Well, then there's no one to support us from behind."
For a moment, Ari glanced at Michael. The man just stood with his two sticks, without showing any expression.
At first Ari wanted to shout: "Hey, man. If you want to live, help us!" But after seeing Michael's blank expression, he immediately paused it.
"He must have been desperate, too. Anyway, the royal army seems to be willing to help us."
Riana's breathing was getting heavier. He eventually fell to the ground and knelt down limply.
"Riana!" Shouted Ari while looking.
"I-I'm fine. Just running out of Mana is quite a lot," Riana replied.
Ari looks frustrated now. Circumstances really cornered him. Plus, the defeat can already be confirmed. Waiting for time to tick.
One by one the fighters began to be eliminated. And to his surprise again, the scattered corpses of the fighters started to rise and turn into zombies.
"M-They got more," Ari kept firing her arrows.
"How is this, Ari?" One of the fighters asked in a panicked tone.
Ari continued to think hard while continuing to attack. However, suddenly his attention was distracted by something amidst the crowd of undead.
"Y-yanu? R-R's?" His eyes glared wide, unable to believe what he saw.
His two friends, Yanu and Ren, had now turned into undead. Looks like those zombies have the ability to infect living things and change them.
Ari instantly pulled her arrow and aimed towards Yanu and Ren. But his hands were shaking and tense. His eyes kept glaring and his teeth were grinding.
"You guys..." Her speech. Then he closed his eyes. "I'm sorry."
Swooshes! An arrow flew into Yanu and Ren's heads. Ari kept her eyes closed, unwilling to witness the sight.
On the other hand, the increasing number of undead began to force the citizens to retreat. The zombies got closer and started infecting some of the helpless residents.
Riana tried to stand up. His strength was still not twenty, but he was faced with conditions that forced him to move immediately.
A mother seems to run away with her child. They want to go to a house and intend to hide there.
However, suddenly a zombie appeared and grabbed the mother.
"Rio, run!" Shouted the mother to her son.
The demon boy just stared in fear. In front of his eyes, the zombies began to gnaw at his mother's flesh. Such cruelty, made the child fixated in silence in great fear.
"Mom-Mom..." The boy only wished his mother to return. "Mother!"
The mother groaned in pain, but she kept asking her son to run away. "Go, Rio! I'll be fine."
The boy started crying. Suddenly, another zombie started running towards him.
Riana who witnessed this, could not stay silent. He immediately ran, but soon fell because his legs were too weak.
He fell to the ground, and his eyes were still on the boy. He loudly shouted as he could.
"H-Stop...stop!"
The zombie just needs one more step to catch the boy and eat him. Until suddenly...
"Fire Elemental: Fire Ball!"
A ball of fire shot out, hit the zombie and killed it. The boy survived too. Riana was astonished at once confused, where did the fireball come from?
Then he turned around and saw a knight he recognized, standing with one hand holding a staff and the other extending his hand forward.
"You did it."
