Slowly the two of them moved closer to each other. They exchanged views. Each of them pay attention to the posture of each other's opponents. The loopholes, the preparations, and the possibilities, were all decisive victories in this fight.
Before long, Serina appeared to be winking, as if she was after analyzing Akira's overall posture. He took the horses and darted with a twisting kick.
Akira did not remain silent. He avoided the incoming attack. But it seems Serina has no intention of launching a single attack. Behind the first attack, a second attack followed. So next.
Fierce fighting is inevitable. Akira tries to avoid every attack Serina comes. It should not be hit in the slightest, given how deadly the energy it generates is.
"But I'm sure, this is not his maximum strength," Akira looked at Darren who was still being carried. "Semisal Darren out of his grasp, he would definitely use both hands. If that happens, I honestly don't know if I should be happy or should be worried."
Tired of being constantly cornered, Akira picked up a counter movement. With his sword, he repelled Serina's punch. Sparks of fire scattered, as if two metals were rubbing against each other.
Serina's movements stalled slightly, opening a small gap for Akira. Without hesitation, he immediately took the opportunity. With a stabbing attack, Akira launched his sword towards Serina's body.
Grabbs! With one hand, Serina caught the sword eye. Akira was surprised, while slowly raising his eyes to Serina's face.
"Good knife," Serina smirked. Then it easily crushed the emerald sword.
The pieces of the gem fell to the ground. Without further ado, Serina launched her punch towards Akira who was still half in shock.
Woosh! His punch almost hit Akira's face. It was fortunate that Akira immediately responded with a backward dodging motion. He immediately took a safe distance and launched a counterattack.
"Emerald Bullet!" From a distance, Akira fired stone bullets made of emerald.
Serina raised her hand, protecting her face from the incoming attack. Dozens of green gems rained down on him. Shortly thereafter, a cloud of dust flew along with the sound of droplets of blood flowing.
"Curtainly, maybe too. Your moves aren't elemental forces, are they?" Serina glanced at Akira from the crevices of her palms. "The ability to manipulate minerals. This is a pretty impressive talent."
Akira replied, "Thank you for the compliment. But rather than that, quickly hand over Esema-kun now!"
Serina sighed. "Akira, the Emerald Green, do you still not understand too huh?" Her speech. "You should know that this friend of yours is no ordinary person? It comes from another world. The world beyond the threshold of our knowledge."
"Yes, I know that. I also know what your plans are," replied Akira as he continued to put up the horses on guard. "You're aiming for his power, aren't you? I don't know what you guys want to do with it."
Akira continued his attack. Seeing how the last attack was so effective, he decided to re-use the long-range attack.
"Emerald Bullet!" Green bullets are attacking Serina.
Serina raised her hand, saying. "The same class won't work twice."
In an instant, dozens of green bullets disappeared in front of Serina's palm. This made Akira worried. He immediately tried to get out of his place. But before he succeeded, a barrage of green bullets hit his leg.
Krakk! His leg was scratched to pieces. Akira himself fell to the ground due to the stumbling of his own attack.
"He returned his attack to me," Inner Akira tried to get up.
But as she raised her face, Serina had appeared with a grinning smile. On his side, his palm had been clenched firmly, ready to punch him from behind the point of the fold of space.
"Emerald Walls!" Akira reacted quickly. He smashed his hand against the ground and created an emerald wall that loomed between them.
Duarr! The super-powerful blow struck a hard wall, creating an explosion that threw the crystal debris in all directions.
Akira who had retreated did not escape the effects of the explosion. Half his mask was smashed apart by the fragments of the wall that floated towards him. Now the left side of his face was open, adorned with bloody scratches.
"It's not just your talent. Your body also seems to be trained. As per the expectations of the Emerald Green Si name," Serina smiled.
"For a midget, you speak noisily too."
Akira wiped the blood off his face and removed the broken part of his mask. Every swab that touched his face, he could feel the pain from the wounds that were imprinting. Unlike Serina, he was just an ordinary human being.
"Answer, Akira," Serina asked. "If you had to kill Darren to save the world, what would you do?"
"Of course kill him," Akira stood up with clenched hands. "It's in line with what I'm going to do now."
Serina's face suddenly changed, as if this was not the answer she expected. At the same time, Akira had pointed his hand at him.
"Emerald Touch!" His shouting.
The green crystals were sticking out from all directions, and were moving towards Serina. But there was something strange about his attack. The crystals were indeed pointing at Serina, but not at her precisely.
"Don't..." Serina's eyes glared.
He quickly moved his hand and smashed all the crystals that came. After everything was destroyed, Serina turned to Akira.
"You just now.. You didn't point it at me, did you?" Serina looked at Akira.
Akira grinned. "Ah, I don't know. I just want to kill him" replied Akira. "After all, if he dies, the world will survive, right? You won't be able to have her powers anymore."
Serina glanced at Darren on her shoulder, then came to a realization with Akira's plan. He could not help it but laugh.
"Ah I understand now," she laughed. "You think that I'm going to protect Darren because of my mission to bring him alive, don't you? Well, you're not wrong. I was assigned that."
Suddenly...
Bruk! Darren's body was just thrown on the ground. Akira is somewhat surprised that instead of doing the opposite, Serina instead follows his plan even though he knows it's a trap.
Serina then began to move both arms flexibly. There was air coming into his nose so smoothly, as if all this time they had been obstructed in a narrow passageway.
"This is what you want, right? Then all right, I've let Darren go" Serina said. "Then what are you going to do next? Bring him back, even if it means leaving your other partners?"
True too, Akira almost forgot his friends who were fainting. There was no way he would leave them alone with Serina. But hearing this sentence from Serina herself, made her become even more wary of what she planned.
Feeling his threat rising, Akira immediately prepared himself and pulled out his weapon. His breathing slowly began to disorient.
Simply put, the situation really did not support Akira's position. Akira was given three choices. Save Darren, or save the others. Of course both options will not end well, so he moves to the third option. That's fighting.
"Whoever wins, he has the right to take Darren" Serina said. "I think you understand the situation. Now, let's just get started. But certainly not here."
Serina flicked her finger. Suddenly a fold of space surrounded the two of them, changing their surroundings to something else.
Whatisthis? They were being taken to a faraway place. Away from the forest and where Darren and his friends are sprawled. When it was all over, Akira's eyes couldn't catch anything.
"G-Dark once," Akira tried to keep his standing posture from the passing shocks.
When he was yawning and almost fell, he was saved by something that sustained him to his feet. Something that is neither human nor living. The texture is rough and rocky. It feels like a wall. Was he in a closed room?
"Stone?" Akira fumbles. He tried to see in the dark of the place. "It's in the cave!"
"That's right," Serina replied with an echoing voice. "I think our second round will be more exciting if we change the arena. And I decided to choose an arena with minimal moving space."
Sweat flowed to the end of Akira's chin. He knew he was in big trouble. This is so bad. The movement will be really limited. Especially if Serina used her Non-Eucledian powers. He doubted if he had a chance to escape.
Serina's voice echoed again. "All right then. We'll just start right away! Second and last round!"
