Isekai No Gakusei: Students From Another World

Isekai No Gakusei: Students From Another World
Overnight In Escape

Darren's journey continues. Despite being away from Friedlich, Darren is still worried about the situation there. He might have left already, but the Demon King might have stopped by the kingdom to check. Darren could only hope that nothing would happen.

On their way, Darren and his friends would often stay in small inns along the way. Most are not very fancy and nice, but provide a decent resting place.

Tonight, Darren is at a small inn in a village far from the city. The place is comfortable, there is not much noise. There was only the sound of leaves swiping in the wind.

He was standing in front of the inn leaning towards the wooden barrier that was lined from wall to wall. Staring without direction, and in his eyes there was emptiness.

Amidst that peaceful atmosphere, Darren's mind was somewhere else. He was confused by the possibilities he had thought so far.

The Demon King was probably the creature responsible for the destruction of Europe some time ago. Although it does not cause casualties, but it really makes the uproar of the kingdoms around him.

Darren doesn't want Friedlich to go through the same thing. Not because it is special, but because it is an ordinary place. He had no grudge against Friedlich, which is why he thought it would be a loss if the place was destroyed.

On the other hand, there was no sign of the appearance of that Demon King here. He may not have found Darren, that's his best chance.

But the worst possibility. He could have found Darren, but kept quiet patiently to make the scenario first.

As Tomatsu said, the Demon King was extremely powerful. The word 'Very Strong' can mean strong in physical, magic, or strategy. If you think about it, the Demon King was after humans like himself. Meaning he had more knowledge of the Otherworld than anyone in this world.

"Hey, Esema-kun. While daydreaming, yes," Tomatsu suddenly shocked Darren from behind. He patted Darren's shoulder.

"Don't worry too much. Relax a little bit" Tomatsu continued. "Be assured that Friedlich will be fine."

Darren's face still looks lethargic. He was unwilling to speak, but seeing Tomatsu encouraging him, it felt better.

"What you said. I'd better be more relaxed" Darren said as he changed his countenance. He now looked fresher, and his face was smeared with a smile.

Tomatsu returned his smile. He lifted his eyes to the starry sky.

"It's been a long time since I've seen stars like this" he said.

Darren. "A thousand years ago?"

Tomatsu replied while chuckling. "Yes. It feels so weird to see this again."

"Why weird? Isn't that good?"

Tomatsu smiled small. "I used to stand on the balcony of the castle. Seeing my people live in peace and tranquility while looking at the light of the stars."

"Oh," said little Darren. He knows that Tomatsu is revealing his past. "Did you miss them so much?"

Tomatsu nodded. "Of course."

Darren knows what it's like to miss something. He used to live on earth with his parents. Now he left them and could never see the faces of the two of them again.

Only his parents understood him the most. When everyone thought he was weird, only his parents understood Darren's mental situation.

"I always felt that way too" Darren said. "My parents. What are they doing there?" Mumbled.

Tomatsu. "About that, what exactly made you get sent here?"

Darren replied, "I was hit by a train, and I woke up in this world."

"Train? Is that like a horse carriage?" Tomatsu.

Darren shakes. "The function is the same, for transportation. But the shape is far different," Reply Darren. "The trains in my world are shaped like boxcars bound together to form a long bond."

Tomatsu still looked puzzled, but his face showed a curious expression.

"Anyways, it looks like a giant centipede that is very long and can go very fast" Darren continued.

Tomatsu's face instantly brightened. "Your world tamed such a creature!? It turns out that the people in your world are very strong huh."

Darren only smiled awkwardly while scratching his head. Maybe it would be better if he did not continue, or the explanation would even be complicated.

"By the way, do your parents know you're dead?" Connect Tomatsu.

"Seems like already. Even though I don't know what they're thinking" Darren replied. "I haven't even got a chance to say my last words yet."

"If I had died another way. A tragic death. Maybe I still have a little time to talk to them" Darren said. "About what expression was on their faces, huh? Are they sad? Or even happy because one burden on their shoulders has been released?"

"Load?"

Darren was surprised. He didn't realize he was talking too much.

"It's nothing. I was just thinking of something," Darren said with a slight smile. He didn't want Tomatsu to see his grim face.

"Of course, it's night. You better sleep there," Tomatsu said as he turned. He seemed to understand that this conversation had ruined Darren's mood.

He walked back to his room, while Darren remained still in place without moving a bit. Darren doesn't plan to sleep now. His mind was still heavy, and he could not enjoy his rest.

"Huffa..." Darren breathed his breath lazily. "It seems Tomatsu's words have a point. I shouldn't be so worried. Besides, I'm pretty sure Akira has a plan for this."

"Achoo!" Akira suddenly sneezes for no reason.

"What's up, Captain?" Ask Fak beside him. "Are you a cold?"

Akira shook his head while rubbing his nose. "No. I think it's just an ordinary sneeze" he replied. Then he returned to his job.

"Don't forget, prepare more troops at the city gates of Veronheim," he ordered Fak. "Supervise any suspicious movements, even more so from the direction of Erfroren. Lately, those mountains have brought a lot of trouble."

Fak straightened his body while answering loudly. "Ready, Captain!" He then turned around and walked out of Akira's room, leaving her alone.

"Huff... it's thrilling, '" he said slowly as he laid down on the chair. "I hope that what Esema-kun fears doesn't really happen."

Akira stared far out through the window. He saw the stars in the sky so beautiful.

"More importantly, hopefully Esema-kun is fine" he said.

"Girl!" Darren suddenly sneezed curiously as he was about to open the door of his room. Sneezing her hard enough to make Shiro come out of his own room to check.

"Esema-sama, what's wrong?" He asked as he walked over to Darren. "Are you sick? I can take care of you."

Darren wiped his watery nose. "Ah, it's okay. The wind tonight just makes me a little cold."

Shiro looked at him with a dissatisfied look. Every time he asked Darren, he always replied 'Yes, I'm fine', or 'I'm fine'.

It sometimes makes Shiro think that Darren always hides his own problems.

"Don't hesitate to tell me the truth, Esema-sama. I'm ready to serve you at any time" Shiro said as he looked at Darren seriously.

Darren smiled slightly. He then raised his hand and placed it on Shiro's head. Slowly his hand began to move to the left right, gently rubbing Shiro's hair.

"I'm fine, Shiro. I'm serious" he said as he continued to move his hand. "Thank you, you're worried about me."

Shiro blushed in embarrassment. Her cheeks flushed. He felt very happy, either because of Darren's thanks or the hair rubbing he gave.

"Darren-sama..." He said slowly while continuing to blush.

"Yes, what's wrong?" Reply Darren.

"I want to stay in Elus" he said again.

Shiro immediately raised his face. A wide smile was immediately plastered on his face. The expression showed a great sign of gratitude from an animal man.

Not long after, the clouds began to billow in the sky. The stars that had been shining brightly in the sky, began to be covered in thick cloud shadows.

"It looks like it's going to rain" Darren cast his gaze into the dark sky. "You'd better go back to your room and sleep. Tomorrow we'll leave" he told Shiro.

As Darren removed his hand from Shiro's head and was about to turn to his room. Suddenly Shiro again grabbed Darren's hand. He grasped it tightly, as if he did not want the hand to take it off.

Darren was a little surprised. He turned back to Shiro, and saw his gloomy face.

"What's up, Shiro?" His question.

Shiro. A moment of silence, until Shiro answered.

"Let me sleep with you, Darren-sama."

Suddenly, lightning immediately clapped hard. Heavy rain fell immediately and the cold night wind blew.

Darren glared in shock. He was shocked by what he had just heard from Shiro's mouth.

For a moment, Darren fell silent not answering. His eyes continued to be directed at Shiro who seemed to be hoping for him.

"All right," replied Darren. "You're gonna sleep on the bed and I'm sleeping on the lant-"

Before Darren finished his sentence, Shiro immediately cut off. "No! I want to sleep with you" he said loudly. "I've always felt like I wasn't treated. I'm a slave, but you've always spoiled me."

Shiro immediately lowered his face. It takes a lot of courage to talk like that in front of Darren.

"Since the first day, you haven't even touched me at all. You're acting like I'm your friend or something. But I am still a slave" Shiro continued. "At least, let me serve you once. For this heavy feeling in my heart to be gone."

Darren fell silent. He looked at Shiro who was looking down without even glancing at him. The words really came out of his heart.

Knowing this, Darren became a little annoyed. Do all animals have such thoughts? Do they not want to be considered equal to other humans? No-- More to the point, they were already used to being treated like slaves and taking their destiny for granted.

While things got awkward, the rain grew increasingly heavy. Lightning was seen grabbing and making a loud thunderous sound.

Now, Darren and Shiro are still standing in front of Darren's bedroom door.

"Here you go, just go to the room. It's so cold in here. I don't want you to get cold" Darren said softly.

They both went into Darren's room. Now they only realized that their clothes were a little wet because of the splashes of rain water carried by the wind.

Shiro was clearly shivering in the cold, but he tried to endure it. While Darren was drying himself with fire magic.

"Shiro, do you want to?" Darren thrust out his palm that delivered the heat. "Don't hold it. Don't hesitate."

Suddenly Shiro immediately undressed in front of Darren. Darren was surprised. He immediately closed his own eyes with the talapak of his hand and turned to face the wall.

"Shiro, what are you doing!?" Darren said in a panicked tone. "Get your clothes back, quick!"

"But, Darren-sama. Aren't you the one who offered me?" Reply Shiro. "You said don't hold it, and don't hesitate."

"That's not what I mean! I mean, do you want to dry your clothes."

Upon hearing that, Shiro's face was instantly red. It was so red that it made her feel like she wanted to faint. She was embarrassed by her misunderstanding.

"Rapidly put your clothes back on!" Darren.

Shiro quickly put his clothes back on. He immediately threw away Darren's face in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, Darren-sama," he said with a finger. "How stupid am I!"

Darren slowly turned his face from the wall, making sure Shiro was dressed. He then looked at Shiro who continued to grasp his own finger. He seems to feel guilty.

He approached Shiro and placed his hand on Shiro's hair gently. Although he himself felt a bit awkward after seeing this.

"Don't feel so guilty" he said. "It's my fault for not saying it clearly either."

Shiro still lowered his head, until Darren's hand slowly stroked his hair gently.

"Forget it over there" Darren said. "I don't blame you, really."

Shiro's head slowly lifted. He turned his head and looked at Darren who was already smiling nearby. Her hair felt disheveled because of Darren's rubbing, but she liked it.

"Why? Why are you always being nice, Darren-sama?"

Shiro slowly opened his mouth, repeating the same question as before.

"Darren-sama, do you want to sleep with me?"

Darren still stroked his head. Shiro glanced at him, hoping that this question did not bother Darren. But, Darren's face looked bright. He is not angry or disturbed. He even smiled gently and still continued to gently rub Shiro's head.

Darren's gaze changed, pointing towards Shiro. Now the eyes of the two of them exchanged looks.

"Is this the time? Will he accept it?" Think Shiro.

Shortly thereafter...

"No," Darren replied with a smile. "I don't want to."

Shiro was surprised by his reply. "Why? Don't I look satisfactory to you, Darren-sama?"

Darren returned. "Not because of that" he said. "I just thought that you shouldn't give your body that easily."

Shiro tilted his head. He doesn't understand Darren.

"Your body is your own, your self-esteem and your future" Darren said. "Don't give your body to someone else that easily. Even if you're a slave."

"After all, what's the point if you're having that kind of relationship when you don't love your co-star" Darren said. "You better save that body for someone you love."

Shiro opened his eyes wide. Darren's bright face, explaining that, was soothing for Shiro.

"But, Darren-sama-" Shiro said.

"Already, stop. I'm your employer, but I don't want to do that kind of thing" Darren said. "I'm not a man who likes to take chances like that."

Darren walked slowly towards the bed. He then looked at Shiro who was still sitting on the floor.

"If you want to serve me, then sleep on the floor" Darren said, laying down on the bed.

Shiro immediately stood up and nodded. "All right, Darren-sama."

It was getting night and the rain was not stopping. Even the sound of lightning is heard more and more throughout the night.

Shiro was already soundly asleep on the floor. Cushioned by folded arms under his head, Shiro slept curled up.

Darren was still awake that night. He sometimes glanced at Shiro who was fast asleep to make sure of his condition. It felt bad to let him sleep on the floor.

"I know what it's like. Feeling unworthy when you are with someone.

"Sometimes, when the feeling comes, the heart will feel very restless and heavy."

"In such times, sometimes punishing yourself is the most potent drug."

Darren tilted his head. Now he could see Shiro's face curled up on the floor.

"I'm sorry Shiro. But this is all I can do. I hope that feeling of uneasiness can disappear from your heart."
