Darren played his sword. With a relaxed face he spoke to Clara who was having a mental crisis in her mind.
"I'm giving you one chance, Clara" Darren said. "Tell me everything about the True Demon King and let us go in peace. That way, I won't have to scratch this sword at you."
Clara looked at him. "can't. Leaving you alive is too risky. I can't guarantee that the Dark Demon King won't catch you."
At that moment, Darren was aware of Clara's words. All this he did was to prevent the Darkness Demon King's plan to capture him.
He may be trying to do his best for the safety of his world. But, Darren could not agree in that way. He himself did not want to die now, and he did not want Good to experience the same thing.
"I understand your determination. But, there must be another better way to overcome this," Darren said. "I have the same goal. That is defeating the Dark Demon King and finding out about the truth of this world. That way, we can create a peaceful world without war."
Clara just looked at him speechlessly. Darren tried to convince her again.
"We can solve this, without having to sacrifice someone's life" Darren said.
Clara immediately replied. "Don't be naive, Darren-kun," he said. "You think you can save everyone's lives while trying to make your dreams come true?"
Clara continued with a loud tone of speech. "Don't think you can do it. To do the right thing, we sometimes have to abandon and sacrifice something we love. Stop thinking that you're gonna be a hero who can save everyone's lives. If you keep thinking that, in the end you'll only be overwhelmed with guilt for not being able to save the people closest to you!"
Darren was shocked to hear Clara's words. He tried to strengthen his stance. "No, I'm sure there's a way. Whatever it is, everyone has to survive."
"I told you, stop!" Shouted Clara, silent the entire room. "Thousand years. There are many wars in this world. If we ask why, they must think that it is a war to bring about peace. But in fact, they're just wasting their lives on uncertain outcomes."
Clara connecting. "And you're here, thinking of creating a peaceful world while believing that no life should be sacrificed. It's bullshit!"
Clara put on a fed up face while continuing her words. "You think how many lives have been lost so you can get here? Are they all guilty? Of course not. They're just innocent people who died because of your selfishness."
Darren lowered his face. He began to understand what Clara meant and felt all her words made sense.
Clara grunts. He looked at Darren in disappointment and then folded his hands.
"If you really want to bring peace to this world. So die. Leave your life to me. That way, the next big war can be prevented" Clara said.
Darren looked for a moment. His face became desperate and his eyes were blank.
"Maybe you're right, Clara-san," Darren said. "Maybe all your words are true."
Darren. "Maybe from the beginning I should have died. But I let people die for me."
Darren talks about his past.
"Yuzuna, Rolf, Hayate, Remi, and the others. Maybe it was me who should have died, not them. Suppose I hadn't come here, they would be living peacefully now."
Darren stood up and walked over to Clara. Clara looked at him with a big smile.
"You made the right decision. To die for another is not an embarrassing death. But it was an honorable death," Clara said as she pulled her scythe. "I'll make sure your name is etched into history."
Suddenly, Shiro shouted from behind the blazing flames.
"Darren-sama, stop all this!" His shouting. "What you said is wrong!"
Darren. He saw Shiro's face from a distance. His gaze was a little myopic, but somehow Shiro's face seemed to glow in his vision.
Shiro continued his screams. "Do you really think that your existence is just a disaster? It's wrong! If you hadn't come, I wouldn't be here by now either."
Tora is moving forward. He straightened his body. "That's right, Darren-sama. You were the one who saved me that day, too" Tora said. "If you don't come. Maybe I'm still being tortured to death in that rotten place."
Darren's empty eyes slowly shone back. "Friends..."
"Darren-kun, don't listen to them!" Clara suddenly shouted.
Suddenly Good shouted back. "Darren, would you let your family grieve if they lost you?" Say Good, in the middle of his position trapped.
"You said it, right. That you have given up those who are there and want to live with your family now" he continued.
Darren looked down lethargic. "But I don't have any family here."
"Who said?" Reply Shiro connect. "I'll be happy to be your family! No matter where you come from. I just want to be by your side forever, Darren-sama!"
Tora who was standing next to him smiled slightly. "Yes, Darren-sama. I'll be faithful standing next to you, no matter what."
At that instant, Darren's eyes instantly brightened. His face was full of light.
"Shiro.., Tora..." Darren said slowly. His eyes were now shining with determination.
He turned to face Clara and said. "No matter what happens. Even if the world does end. I'll protect my family."
"You!" Reply Clara while immediately swinging her scythe.
However Darren instantly repelled him with a sword and gave a counterattack. He slashed at Clara and managed to injure her hand.
"What's with this move? It's getting faster" Clara said in a panic.
Clara jumped back and threw the fireball, but as she looked in front of her, Darren was no longer there.
"Greath, it disappears again" Clara said with glaring eyes. He widened his gaze, trying to find where Darren was moving.
"It's not everywhere" Clara said. He became more anxious. "What are you planning this time, Darren-kun?"
"Boulder Smash!" A chunk of rock under Clara stood out.
Clara surprised. He swiftly slashed his scythe and split the stone in two.
"She's not here" Clara guessed Darren was behind the stone, but it wasn't.
"Boulder Smash!" Darren's voice was heard. This time, however, the ground shook violently.
Clara tried to keep her balance. But when he managed to stand up straight, he realized that he had fallen into Darren's trap.
Dozens of large chunks of rock surrounded Clara from various directions. Surround it and prepare to hit Clara simultaneously.
Booms! Sounds strong. Shortly thereafter, the stones drifted right towards Clara.
Clara reflexively prepared her position, preparing to destroy everything that came.
He widened his gaze even wider so that he could see everything that came to him.
When the stones slid towards him, he was ready to defend himself.
One by one, the rocks that were throwing at him were crushed. With the coordination between the sickle attack and his empty hand attack, he managed to destroy everything until there was nothing left.
The last stone floated towards him. With full force, Clara thrust her hand towards the stone.
Instantly, the stone was crushed. However, Darren suddenly appeared from within the stone without warning. Surprised Clara for not expecting it.
Darren appeared with a sword thrust forward. No need for a lot of energy, Darren managed to hit the right side of Clara's stomach easily.
That left Clara quite badly injured. Even with high levels of regeneration, the wound will still need some time to heal.
"Aghh" Rintih Clara. He then found Darren standing in front of him with a sword strapped to his neck.
"Give up, Clara-san," Darren said.
Clara immediately replied. "Hurry, draw your sword to me" he said.
"I don't want to kill you" Darren replied.
Clara showed an irritated face. Not because he lost, but because Darren again showed that nature.
"Kill me now. I hate to see your naive nature" Clara said. "I don't need your pity. I also don't want to live with debt."
"Don't get me wrong" replied Darren. "It's not from pity. But I have another reason to let you live."
Clara raised her eyebrows. "Then what is it? I hope you're not saying the same naive excuse."
Darren continued. "After hearing your explanation of the Darkness Demon King, and the great war that was likely to occur. I became aware of how dangerous my existence was, so that it could cause an indirect war."
"So, do you intend to die?"
"No, it's not that. I have no intention of dying at all" Darren replied in a joking tone.
"Dearly enough. Though this is a good opportunity" Clara said with a small laugh, holding her stomach. "Then, what do you want?"
"I think we can form an alliance" Darren replied.
"Alliances?"
"Yes. We can combine forces. The more power, the greater our chances of defeating the Demon King. I will invite some human kingdoms to join as well!"
Clara took a breath. "Darren-kun, you understand what you're talking about, right?" Clara. "When thousands of years have passed, yet to this day, it is still impossible for humans and monsters to unite. You're going to need someone who has a huge God-like influence to make that happen."
Darren pondered for a moment. "Can't the two sides talk about this anymore?"
Clara shakes. "We monsters have a reason why we're hated. And that is the will of the gods. Now, there's no way to restore our reputation."
Darren scratched his head while wondering. "God? So you worship a god too?"
Clara closed her mouth. He doesn't seem to want to talk about this. Darren noticed it and tried to change the topic.
"After all, I don't believe in Gods here. Even against God's fate, I will still rebel" Darren said. "I have a family now. And I'll protect them."
Clara laughed gigglingly. "Ha ha, you're again showing your nature. I'm really sick of it" Clara said with a smile. "Well, I admit defeat now."
Clara put out her fire. The sea of fire that surrounded them was extinguished, and the chains that bound Bagus were released.
Seeing Darren doing well, Shiro and Tora immediately ran up to him. While Hain walked slowly towards the remnants of Samson's clothes that had been charred in flames.
"Darren-sama," Call Shiro as he walks over. Tora just followed him from behind.
Shiro jumped into Darren's arm. He hugged her and almost cried at that moment.
"Darren-sama, promise me not to repeat that again" Shiro said in a sobbing tone.
Darren returned his embrace. He replied softly. "Yes, I promise. I'll never leave you" Darren said. "We are family now. I also don't want to make my family sad because of my departure."
Clara sighed. It was truly a rare sight for him to be able to see the two different races understanding each other.
Darren then turned to Clara. "So is yours, Clara," he said. "Take your own life. Dyland-san will probably be sad if you die. Even if you don't think of him as your brother, he'll still think of you as his sister."
Clara smiled as she shook her head.
"No. I really think of him as my sister" Clara replied. "I respect him. From the day he saved me from the bear-No, but from the Church's army."
Clara continued. "He really took care of me and treated me well. Although sometimes it is cold, but it is that nature that always dampens the fire that is overflowing in me."
"He loves you very much, yes. And you seem to love him a lot too" Darren said.
Clara smiled broadly. "yeah. It is appropriate for brothers to love each other. But I feel guilty for never telling him that I'm the Demon King."
Suddenly, a voice sounded from the other direction.
Clara surprised. "Dyland, you're awake."
Clara tried to stand up, but struggled due to her abdominal wounds. It was there that Darren extended his hand and helped him stand up.
As soon as possible Clara walked towards Dyland. She approached her brother and immediately grabbed him.
"Sister," Clara said in a longing tone. For a moment, his aura as a Demon King seemed to disappear.
At first he looked terrible and dangerous, but now he was just a brother who missed his brother very much.
Dyland responds to Clara's arrest. With a smiling face he said, "Jeez. You still call me brother. You are a thousand years older than me."
Darren then treats Dyland and tells him everything.
"So so. A lot of things happened all of a sudden, yes" Dyland said. But he faced everything with a cold face as usual. "I didn't think that Darren and Good were humans from another world, Clara was a Demon King, and it turned out that Samson was gone."
Everyone nodded.
"On Samson... It was my fault" said Good. "He sacrificed his life for me."
"No. Samson wasn't so stupid as to save an enemy. He must have thought of you as his friend" Dyland said. "Please. Take care of the life he has given you. Don't be in vain."
Nice to smile heavily while nodding. "Good."
"But there's one more thing I want to ask you, Good," Dyland said.
"What's that?"
"It's about my past" Dyland said.
Dyland then recounts his past, about strange events to his father. Where his father seemed to be influenced by his thoughts and ended up fighting with his own partner.
"Are you involved in that?" Dyland asked, recalling how Good could affect people's memories.
"I don't know about that" Reply Good. His face also did not appear to be hiding lies. "I just arrived in this world two months ago."
"so yeah. Then thank you for answering it. I don't mean to accuse you" Dyland said.
But Darren's attention was instead focused on the Good answer. "wait. So it's been good two months here?" Thought in the heart. "But he is from the year two thousand four. Shouldn't he have arrived several tens of years earlier?"
Clara saw a dreamy Darren. "Darren-kun, what's wrong?" Ask Clara. "Are you afraid that we'll leak information about your origin from another world?"
Darren awoke from his daydream. "A-Ah, about that too."
Clara continued. "Don't worry. I'll keep it a secret. I'll make sure no one else knows" he said. "I also don't want my existence as a Demon King to be discovered."
Dyland. "If people knew it could be messed up. It is better to keep our mouths shut about this incident" he said.
"Then, what are we going to do about the General?" Dyland continued, pointing towards Michael who looked limp with his legs still trapped.
Seeing him, Darren immediately pulled out his sword.
"Can I kill him?" Ask Darren. It was banned by Clara.
"Wouldn't" Clara said as she calmed Darren. "I know you might have a long history with him. But please hold it for now."
"Maybe we can dig up some information about the Holy Church" Clara said.
Although he himself felt furious just because he saw Michael's face, but Darren thought that Clara's reason was quite logical.
After all, Darren was also quite interested in the reason of the Holy Church behind all this.
Darren raised his sword and walked over to Michael. He pulled his gun with his face ready to kill Michael at any moment.
"Tell us everything about the plan of the Holy Church," Darren began his interrogation. "Reply answer now or I'll cut your throat."
Darren actually did not expect an answer from Michael. All he really waited for was to find an opportunity to kill him.
After all, he himself believed that Michael would not say anything. So he just had to wait for the time to draw his sword.
"It's all because of you, you criminal underdog," that's the first thing Michael said.
"What the fuck do you mean?" Reply Darren.
"You. You killed your army. And because of you, the Demon King destroyed our kingdom."
Ah, Darren understands now. Michael heard their conversation earlier. And since the name of the Dark Demon King appeared, he thought that it was Darren who lured the Demon King to destroy Erobernesia.
Michael continued. "Why don't you just die there. Because you too are Taiji dead."
Darren became irritated because of his attitude. His hands began to tense up as he could not help but attack Michael's neck.
"Clara-san, there is no more information we can get from her" Darren told Clara. "Let me kill him right now."
Clara sighed. He thought Michael could provide more important information, but his expedition was destroyed at that very moment.
"alright. Just kill him. It's no longer useful" Clara said.
A wide grin flashed across Darren's face. He showed Michael his cruel smile, hoping to intimidate him before he died.
"What am I really saying" said Darren as he raised his sword. "I'll find you till I see you. And now, you're in front of me without a weapon like an animal ready to be slaughtered."
Suddenly, Hain shouted from afar.
"Everything!" He shouted, which surprised everyone.
"What's up, Hain?" Sahut Clara's.
"Look!"
Hain pointed his finger towards the corpse the Holy Priestess was in.
"W-What's that?" Said Darren who was turning his head, surprised by what was in front of him.
The priest's body moved with his head already crushed. The movement was indeed not dangerous, but this was quite strange because the Priestess should have been dead from earlier.
"What is a zombie?" That was the first impression Darren had thought of.
The corpse began to move blindly in place, like a convulsing person. His hands and feet moved forcefully breaking joints that were not supposed to move.
Suddenly a blurry silhouette emerged out from the corpse. The silut only lasted a few seconds until it finally disappeared for no reason.
"What the hell was that?" Hain.
While most people's expressions were more of a surprise, it was Clara's expression that showed different things.
"Great, take care of each one of you!" Shouting Clara.
Everyone doesn't really understand what's going on. Is this a counterattack? Or was it just a suicide weapon that the corpse had launched?
"Clara-san, what happened?" Darren asked without leaving his guard.
"The priest, looking for a new body," replied Clara. "When his physical body dies. He will release his own soul and fly in search of a new home. He will possess someone's physique and take over it. Every time he died, he would throw away his body and look for a new one. In this way, he could live for a very long time. You could even say eternal."
Darren understood the situation. He immediately ordered Shiro and Hain to watch out for each other and notice the changes that had arisen.
"Everything is no noise! So we can see whose body is possessed" Clara said.
Everyone immediately shut their mouths. Instantly, the room was silent. So quiet, they could hear the sound of the wind blowing.
Their eyes were also wide open as they glanced at each other. One suspicious move, then it could be that the person has been possessed.
That moment of silence happened long enough. Until a few minutes finally passed, and there were no signs of possession between them.
"good? Clara?" Darren tried to make sure of his friends. "Well? The shiro? Tora?"
Everyone nodded in response. It convinced them that the priest's soul was not among them.
"Then, who would you think?" Ask Clara.
"Basic fool. Ha ha ha!" Suddenly Michael laughed. "You think you can kill me that fast?"
Everyone immediately turned to look at him and their minds became one. Yes, Michael must have been possessed by the Reverend's soul.
With his feet still fused to the ground, Michael would not be able to move. It was quite soothing for Darren and the comrades, because it meant that the soul of the Priestess could go nowhere.
"Hey old man. You'd better be self-aware" Darren said. "Your new body legs are being bound by the Spirit Technique. You can't go anywhere."
Michael grinned. "You think that's enough to hold me?" Her speech.
Michael raised his hand slowly. The shape of his hand was not like directing a spell.
With his fingers, he snapped his fingers. And at that moment, Hain suddenly collapsed from his standing position.
Everyone is surprised. Their gazes were instantly fixed on the fainted Hain.
"Others!" Shouted Tora while running towards her.
Darren's eyes are still processing what's happening. He turned to Michael and saw that he had come out with a free leg.
"You-" said Darren in shock. "How did he escape? Shouldn't the spirit technique remain active even if the user falls?"
"You don't know?" Michael said, as if he were reading Darren's mind. "This move I'm wearing is a way to destroy the soul of an individual. So, although spirit techniques generally won't break even if the user sleeps or faints, with this magic I can destroy the spirit itself."
"Wait, did you destroy Hain's soul?" Reply Darren.
"No. With Michael's weak body, I can't do it. I can only paralyze his mistress' soul. It's a hassle."
"Damn it," Darren instantly grasped his sword and attacked Michael.
But Michael did the same. This time he flicked his finger again and crippled Darren's soul.
Buppy! A loud bang was felt in Darren's body. He felt it clearly and had more and more difficulty moving his body.
"Damn it, I got hit by the magic" Gerrutu Darren in heart.
He looked at his friends and saw everyone lying on the ground. Except Clara. He seemed to stand still without doing anything with a frightened face.
Michael turned away from himself. He also stepped out of the room. But before coming out, he had a chance to look at Darren a little.
"It seems you want to kill this young man yes" Michael said, pointing to himself. "Just calm. It's entirely yours. I'll be gone from this body tomorrow. So if you want to kill him, I won't get in the way."
Darren's gaze instantly went out at that very instant. He lost consciousness and felt his mind muddled because of the magic. He collapsed and fainted with his friends.
