"Darren, I'm sorry."
Darren jumped out of his sleep. He sat on his bed after hearing a strange whisper in his ear. But when he turned his head, he only saw Riuku who was as surprised as he was, standing looking at him near the door.
"My tribe? Did you hear that voice?" Ask Darren. After all, it was impossible for the voice to have come from Riuku.
My ri stroked her chest while trying to calm herself down after being shocked earlier. "A sound? I didn't hear anything" he said, "I was surprised to see you jump up all of a sudden."
"Oh." Darren calmed down again while returning his position. He thinks he's back to dreaming about Yuzuna and Rolf. But the voice in his head was not a voice he had heard before.
The voice was full of sadness and frustration. The feeling contained within the voice seemed to flow filled with despair. Like the voice of someone who wants to die. But Darren could not identify the voice. He could not even say that it was a male or female voice. Just like a line of sentences suddenly appeared in his mind.
"So, why did you come here, Riuku?" Darren turned to Riuku while trying to forget the incident just now.
My ri bowed and then stepped in. At first glance, it looks very elegant and graceful. Her fair skin, with several pieces of scales, made her face more blushing while showing her true identity as a lizardmen race. The evolution of mimicry really made the former reptile-like face now a beautiful young girl.
Equipped with black and white maid clothing that is commonly found in the world of Darren's origin, adding to its beauty up to three times. After all, who doesn't like pretty girls in maid outfits?
After yesterday's incident, Riuku is assigned specifically by Ravenna to take care of Darren personally. So, the reptile girl took the initiative to use maid clothes which she said were quite popular among male adventurers, in order to serve Darren both physically and visually.
"Ravenna-sama gave you this." My riu put a set of clothes on the table.
"What's this?" Darren scrunched his face. He knew it was clothing, but he didn't understand what it meant.
"Ravenna-sama decided to give you new clothes after seeing your old clothes torn in the fight yesterday."
Darren glanced towards the closet across the room. Hanging there old clothes that do look worn and torn in some parts.
"It's true. All right, I'll take this outfit. Thank you for delivering it, Riuku," Darren said.
My ri smiled, then continued her words before stepping up from before Darren. "And so, you better change quickly, Darren-sama. Because Ravenna-sama has been waiting for you at the hospital."
My riu is gone too. Darren got out of his bed and stepped into the still folded clothes. A black jacket with a metal slab on either side of his shoulder that works as protection to protect the shoulder joint.
Darren lifted the jacket off the table. He was surprised to find the tight black pants lying underneath. The pants are made with a pliable material, with knee pads attached to both feet.
"This outfit is so cool."

Darren walked down the aisle of the hospital with his new look. Tight black pants and an inflated black jacket were carried away by the wind. Behind his jacket, he was wearing a dark red shirt. Throughout the hallway, the sound of his metal bearings could be heard rubbing. Like the sound of heavy steps. But in fact, this was the lightest set of adventurer clothes he had ever worn.
Sreks... Door opens.
"You're coming too." Ravenna glanced towards Darren who appeared from the door.
"Darren-same." Shiro immediately moved on his bed, about to approach Darren. "Are you okay? Are you hurt-Ekk!"
But Ravenna pushed him back to fall on a soft mattress. Darren just stared at them from the door as if enveloped in a sense of dejavu.
"You're the same as Darren-kun, yes. Can't you calm down when you're sick?" Ravenna.
"I can." From the next bed, Tora replied. His face did not care much because he was focusing on the book he was reading.
"You are different. More in a strange direction. Not rest, instead, busy reading a book."
"This book is so interesting."
"You still have to rest!"
Darren approached them. "You how, Shiro?"
Hearing Darren speak to him, Shiro instantly calmed down. He sat on the bed with half his legs covered in blankets, then nodded while showing his smile.
"Yes." Yeah." Simple sentences but contain a great feeling of gratitude in them.
"good. Tora, how are you?" Darren turned to the opposite side of the bed, looking at Tora who was still glued to her book.
The young man simply raised his hand while giving a thumbs up. It seems like the book he read is really interesting to make him not want to let go.
"Has he always been?" Ask Ravenna. "Since he woke up, he didn't stop reading."
Darren just smiled a little. "He likes books. Probably more precisely the pengeth that's in it."
"The bookworm. Makes sense."
Darren turned away. Now he wants to talk about something important to Ravenna.
"So, why did you ask me to come here? You didn't invite me just to see Shiro and Tora, did you?"
Ravenna rubbed her face. "How to say yes. This is really bad. One bad thing happened, another one came."
"What's really going on?"
"The succubus managed to escape."
Darren jerks. So did Shiro, and even Tora to the point of dropping his book.
"Snow? How come?"
Ravenna further slammed her face into her palm. "Eitherway. It should be impossible. The chain that cuffed him was a magic chain. He should not have been able to cast any spells" he said, "But in fact, he managed to escape. Just leaving a chain torn like a bunch of papers."
"Can a friend come to help him?"
"Maybe. But Kanrei claimed to have heard nothing from inside the cell. Everything was so quiet, even in the middle of the sun that night."
Darren sat on the side of Shiro's bed, with a palm that wiped half his face. He became worried as well as wary of this news. Is that Succubus going back to attack him? But, is that possible?
"What about the state of the artifact?" Ask Darren.
"Time in the Bottle? It's still safe in the safe. I just checked it out" Reply Ravenna. Then he continued, "Darren-kun, you should quickly go towards Steinfen. Long stay here is not a good thing. The enemy may be after you again."
Ravenna's words are correct. The longer he was in this city, the greater the threat that might occur. If that Demon King were to attack him at this very moment, then the entire city could be at stake. Friends he knew were under threat.
Darren suddenly remembered Ravenna's words earlier. "So you said one problem came another. Does that mean this isn't the only bad news you've got?"
Ravenna scratched her head. "Uhhh. I honestly don't know if this is bad or good news. But the situation is getting more precarious than usual" he said. "This concerns Akira. An envoy from Friedlich came to see him."
Darren raised next to his eyebrows. "Is that all?"
"The problem is, the one who visited him was not an ordinary person."
