It's still night. The moon was also still shining faintly covered in clouds. In the middle of the dark room, Darren suddenly woke up from his sleep.
"Goddessa..." Darren yawned while moving. He grabbed her by the neck and walked to a table to fetch water. "Ugh. My throat is very dry."
He stepped slowly. But he was struck by something on the floor that suddenly touched his feet. He jumped back and turned on the lights.
"Shiro?" Darren surprised. He noticed her cute face, sound asleep on the floor. "He's still asleep. But why is he here?"
"Pity if he sleeps on the floor. Later he can catch a cold," continued Darren slowly. "I'd better carry him on the bed."
Darren slowly held onto Shiro's body gently. He made sure that Shiro did not wake up. After that, he lifted her up slowly and patiently, and moved her onto the mattress without making her feel disturbed.
"It's a little heavy, but I still can," Darren breathed a sigh of relief.
After drinking a glass of water, Darren went out of the room. He walked to the bathroom to pee.
Walk slowly through the dark castle hallway. Darren's eyes were fixed on every painting glued to the wall.
The paintings look luxurious with shiny gold frames, reflecting the faint light of oil lanterns.
After urinating, Darren immediately returned to the room. On the street, he suddenly recalled about the dojo behind the castle yesterday.
"I have to get stronger" Darren said slowly. "Would I just go to the dojo, for practice. I'm not sleepy anyway."
"But I have to go back to the room first, to check on Shiro."
When he returned, Shiro was awake. He sat up straight on the bed staring at Darren with an unfazed face.
"Oh, Shiro. You wake up, yeah. I'm sorry to interrupt" Darren said as he walked closer. "It's still night, you can go to sleep."
Shiro's face flushed. "Darren-sama, did you do this?"
"Doing? Ah, you mean lift you to bed. Yes," answered Darren. "I'm sorry, 'cause I didn't tell you first."
Shiro shakes. "You're just moving me?" Say Shiro again. "You, don't do that?" Connect Shiro with a small voice.
"Huh? Whahuh? I don't hear," Darren said. "What did you say?"
"Well, it's nothing. I just said thank you," Shiro shook his hand.
Darren only scowled with a slightly curious face. "Hm. yeah, same. Now, go back to sleep," he said, returning to the door. "I won't bother you."
"Where are you going, Darren-sama?" Shiro asked to see Darren leaving. "Are you disturbed by me?"
Shiro suddenly jumped from the bed and immediately prostrated himself on the floor, right in front of Darren.
"I'm sorry, Darren-sama. It was my fault for entering without permission. I'm ready to accept the punishment" he continued to apologise.
"Hey, hey, I didn't say you were intruding. I just want to go to the dojo" Darren said, calming down.
"To dojo? These nights?" Shiro raised his head.
"Yes. I suddenly wanted to do something there" Darren replied.
Suddenly Shiro stood up and approached Darren. He was so close that it surprised Darren.
"Can I come?" He said as he held Darren's hand and immediately let go. "M-Sorry. I'm being so presumptuous again."
Darren smiles. "Just relax. If you want to come, come along. No one forbids it."
A wide smile flashed across Shiro's face. They both walk to the dojo with Shiro following Darren from behind.
Walk slowly in the hallway. The sound of their feet can be heard quite clearly. As they approached the back door, they slowed down their pace.
Darren opened the door and was greeted by the soothing breeze of the night. The moonlight illuminated the grass and the flowers looked beautiful underneath.
"That's so beautiful" Shiro lifted his eyes.
"Yes, right. It's so beautiful" Darren said. "It's a pity that we missed a moment like this."
Darren suddenly ran towards a tree growing in the middle of the garden. The tree was quite lush with some moonlight that penetrated through the cavity of the foliage.
"Shiro, come here," Call Darren while laying his body under the tree.
Shiro.
"Come here. It's very comfortable," Darren pointed his hand at the grass. "Lay. It's very convenient."
Shiro tried it.
Instantly he was immediately carried away by the comfortable atmosphere that night. The sound of leaves rubbing against each other mixed with a silence that really calms the heart.
Darren slowly closed his eyes. For a long time he had not felt anything like this, even since he was still in his previous life.
"This comfortable feeling," Darren said softly. "Shiro, are you happy?"
Shiro nodded while looking. "I'm very happy, Darren-sama," he replied. "I remember my childhood in the village."
"It's good that you're happy" Darren continued, glancing up at the star-filled sky.
"Shiro, do you know?" Connect Darren. "The stars in the sky sometimes have patterns?"
"Pattern?"
"Yup. In my hometown, we call it the constellations" Darren continued. "They have different forms. Some were shaped like an archer, and some looked like a dog."
"Woah, I just found out about it" Shiro said. "But, what exactly does the star itself look like?"
"According to research, some say that stars are balls of flaming energy in space. The ball is like the sun" Darren replied.
"M-sun? Why are stars so small?" Connect Shiro.
"Because the star is very far away. So far away, that it only looks like a point" Darren replied.
"Eehh. It turns out that Darren-sama knows a lot of things, yes," Shiro said. "I don't really understand, but I'll remember."
Then they both went back to enjoying the view. Things became quiet between the two of them.
"Darren-sama," Shiro's soft voice broke the peaceful atmosphere.
"What's wrong?" Darren without looking. His eyes are still on the sky.
"I want to always follow you. Wherever you go" Shiro continued with a smile.
This time Darren tilted his head, facing towards Shiro with his body still on his back. He replied with a simple, but meaningful smile to Shiro.
"Yes, and I'll protect you."
.
.
.
The kreeek... A loud noise was heard when the dojo door opened. Darren and Shiro enter the dojo without thinking about what might be there.
The dojo was very dark, so Darren let out a small flame from his fingertips. Although not very bright, but the light of the fire is enough to see in the darkness.
Shiro picked up a small candle stored in the closet and lit it with Darren's fire.
"Shiro, are you sure you want to accompany me here?" Darren said as he took a sword. "It's still night. If you're tired, you can go back and sleep. Besides, I just want to train my hands."
Shiro shook his head with certainty. "It's okay, Darren-sama. I'll see you practice."
"Mm.. okay."
Darren grasped the sword with both hands. He then swung the sword, forward and backward repeatedly.
"One.. two.. three..." Every swing he made, he always counted it, "five. six..."
Darren repeated the exercise several times. He sometimes forgot the number of swings he counted, so he had to repeat it from the beginning.
"Darren-sama, you look tired. Shouldn't you rest first?" Shiro said seeing Darren sweating.
"I'll take a break when I've reached the hundredth swing" Darren replied while focusing on his swing. "Agh, shit. I forgot again!"
"Darren-sama," Shiro continued, "How about I help you count?"
Darren. "ah! Great idea!"
Darren's training went much more smoothly with Shiro's help. He no longer forgets the swing he counted because Shiro always helps him remember.
About fifteen minutes later, Darren almost reached the hundredth swing.
But Darren looks dissatisfied. "Hundred swings in fifteen minutes? How sad I am" Gerrutu Darren. "Maybe people can do it in a minute."
"But that time, if not wrong, I've seen you do a hundred slashes in a few seconds" Shiro said.
"That's because I used magic. Without magic I'm nothing" Darren replied. "Agh, this is disappointing."
Shiro suddenly approached her with a sparkling face. He then looked at Darren with his serious eyes.
"I believe Darren-sama can definitely do it" he said. "Maybe not now. But surely, in the future, Darren-sama could do a hundred slash-no movement, or maybe even, a thousand slashes!"
Darreb smiled happily. "Thank you, Shiro. You make my mood better" he said, rubbing Shiro's soft hair.
Shiro closed his eyes while putting on a cute face. He seemed to be enjoying Darren's hand.
"Eh, you like it in elus-elus huh," Darren said as soon as he saw Shiro's expression.
"T-No! I'm just having fun because Darren-sama is feeling good..." Reply while blushing.
"Ha, ha, no excuses" Darren continued to stroke Shiro's hair.
Shiro's face turned red. He enjoyed Darren's comfortable hands.
"yes too. Shiro is a wolf animal. Wolves are also not much different from dogs.no wonder that he likes his head on elus." Darren said in his heart.
"Darren-sama, stop. It's a shame" Shiro said slowly, but his expression said another. "Act like this in front of you. I can't."
"Yosh, yosh, it's okay" Darren replied with his hands still stroking. "But you like it, right?"
Shiro's cheeks flushed. He paused for a moment and continued, "Yes, I like it" he said quietly.
Darren smiles. Seeing Shiro's reddened face with a happy expression already made him happy.
Darren then stopped his hand. He stood up and took a gun.
"Shiro, thank you for encouraging me" he said. "Do you want to try training with me?"
Shiro's face shone. "I want! I'd be very happy if Darren-sama would teach me."
Darren gives Shiro three weapon options. A sword, axe, or spear.
"I will choose this," Shiro picked up the spear and started playing it. "When I was in the village, I used to play with this weapon. My brother also taught me how to wear it."
Darren took a sword. He immediately made a distance between himself and Shiro and was ready to fight.
"We're going to try a duel, Shiro," Darren said as he brandished his sword.
"But, Darren-sama. I can't hit you" Shiro replied. "I don't want to hurt you."
Darren grinned. "It's okay. Hit me as hard as you can. If you do, then I'll be greatly helped" Darren said. "Don't hold back, okay. You can also use magic."
Shiro sharpened his eyes while nodding. "Alright, Darren-sama. As you ordered."
Shiro took the position of the horses which was quite different from most that people did. These horses felt familiar to Darren.
"These horses..."
But before Darren could finish thinking, Shiro had swung his spear sideways and almost hit Darren's face.
Darren reacted immediately. He flexed his waist, and dodged the direct attack.
"D-He's fast?" Darren surprised.
Before Darren raised his head again, Shiro's spear had moved again. This time, Shiro attacked Darren's leg.
Gubrakk! Darren could not escape and he fell on the floor.
Again, Shiro's spear shot straight towards him.
Darren instantly swung his sword and repelled Shiro's attack.
"He's not kidding. His speed was indeed below Tomatsu's, but he was fast."
"And the horses are the same horses as Tomatsu!"
Darren immediately jumped straight from his sleeping position. He stood up and prepared his sword for the next attack.
"I underestimated Shiro too much. I can't believe he's so good at playing with spears."
Shiro pulled his spear back to his own back. He took a deep breath and then launched a quick stabbing attack.
"This movement!?" Darren glares. "Just like Tomatsu's movements!"
"If he really mimics all Tomatsu's movements, then he must have other plans. Like, for example..."
Darren repeated the same movements as his practice yesterday.
The stabbing attacks are endless that can not be fended off, and how Shiro fighting style. If this was really similar, then there would be one loophole for Darren.
Seac! Darren dodged and jumped into the wall on the left side. He placed his sword and prepared for something to come.
Justright. Shiro immediately read Darren's movements. His eyes turned around for a moment and he prepared his hand to catch Darren.
"really guessed. It uses the same movement."
Darren jumped.
Grabbs! Shiro's two hands caught Darren's shoulders. But, this time Darren had prepared an additional move.
He twisted his body in the air and made Shiro's hand come loose.
"Darren-sama, he is aware of my strategy!?" Shiro surprised.
Darren immediately prepared to launch his attack. He swung his hand quickly.
Swoop! His hand swung and there was the sound of iron pounding on the floor.
"Wait-Wait..Where is my sword!?" Darren was shocked when he realized his sword had accidentally slipped out of his grasp. "Wine! It's out of plan!"
Gubrakk!!
Darren and Shiro collide. They both rolled on the floor and finally stopped as Darren's back hit the floor.
"Oh, duh, duh," Darren grumbled in pain as he reopened his eyes.
In front of his eyes right, Shiro's eyes looked into his eyes as well. Their eyes were both so close, even Darren could see the reflection of his own reflection.
Shiro's blue eyes were so beautiful when he looked this close. Shiro's breath was panting, and it also felt like it was touching the skin of his face.
"Shiro..." Said Darren slowly with his body position overwritten by Shiro's body.
The eyes of the two of them looked at each other. It became quiet for a moment.
"Hwaa! I'm sorry Darren-sama!" Shiro immediately nodded.
He immediately tried to lift his body to get out of that embarrassing position. But, his legs accidentally slipped and even made him fall back.
Their faces are very close. One more step, then their lips could just touch.
Darren closed his eyes. He couldn't stand to see a woman's face that close. He was not used to it and was afraid that something strange would happen.
"S-Shiro, can you move?" Darren said without looking.
Shiro immediately used his hands to hold his body. He then moved away from Darren's body.
"I'm sorry, Darren-sama," Shiro said as he bowed. "I'm so careless. I deserve to be in the law."
Darren lifted his body. He then sat down on the floor while looking towards Shiro.
"It's not your fault" Darren said. "I was the one who was careless with my movements earlier."
"Take it as an accident" Darren said. "You won't be punished."
Shiro turned towards Darren.
"Darren-sama..." Said slowly.
Soon, the sun began to shine. The light went through several hollow dojo walls.
"It's morning. Not strong," Darren stood up. "Let's have breakfast first. Then, we continue our training. This time, I'll have Tomatsu train you as well."
Shiro was happy to hear that. Face shines. "Well, Darren-sama!"
