"Michael-san!" Riana immediately ran into the kitchen.
Hearing the scream, Michael turned his head with a shocked face.
"What's yelling like that?" Michael Yelled.
Riana remained silent. He saw one of Michael's hands holding a butcher knife that was almost entirely covered in red patches. In front of him, the stone table used as a pedestal also appeared to be half destroyed.
"Eh, don't-don't..." Riana started to realize what was happening.
Without further ado, Michael suddenly thrust out a basin of meat whose contents had already been chopped.
"This is the meat you told me to cut earlier," Michael said as he thrust it. His face looked so relaxed in spite of all this mess.
"I-Yes, thank you," Riana received the basin. "But how did it get this way?"
Michael answered with a flat face. "The knife's blunt. Not strong enough to cut meat. So I gave it a little bit of time to cut it."
"Power like this you say a little?" Inner Riana. "Well, what's important is that the meat is ready. Now just cook it."
Suddenly a thought flashed through Riana's head. He glanced slightly at Michael while making sure he didn't see him.
"It looks like Michael-san doesn't fit into light jobs like this. The experience he had made him always overreact with the tasks he faced," Riana thought. "Whatever he's working on must be a mess. I don't want him to hurt himself because of his behavior."
"I had to keep him away during the cooking process. To prevent something bad that might happen!"
Riana approached Michael. "Michael-san, sorry to tell you all of a sudden" Riana said.
"Huh, what's up? Am I gonna help you cook too?"
Riana shook her head. "No really. It's just that there's a sudden problem" Riana replied. "It looks like the spices for the cooking seasoning are over. I'm afraid we can't make a good dinner with these leftover spices."
"Sorry Michael-san, I lied. Actually we don't need seasoning. I just want you to be safe."
Michael. "so yeah. I-i understand. I just need to find the ingredients around the forest, right?"
Riana smiled. "Yes right. If not wrong, there are some spice plants on the outskirts of the forest. Not too far from here."
"All right, I'll be right back."
Michael then left by pushing his own wheelchair. This opportunity was immediately used by Riana. He had to cook food before Michael came.
He immediately returned to the yard. There, he arranged firewood and placed a pair of rather long logs on either side.
After the cooking equipment is ready, he stabs the meat that has been cut with a wooden puncture, until it is shaped like satay. Then he put it on both long woods as a buffer.
"Died to make a fire."
Riana took two stones, which she used to make fire, and began to smash them into each other.
Some sparks started to burn. Soon, the firewood was consumed by fire. The cooking process has begun.
"I just need to make sure the meat burns evenly. Not too charred on one side, and not too raw on the other," Riana said to herself, flipping her cooking over the fire.
His hands worked smartly. At a glance, it can be discovered that Riana has indeed been accustomed to doing this for many years. His technique in flipping meat really looks so professional.
Suddenly his hand stopped moving. His eyes looked into the void. In his heart he said, "What am I doing this wrong?" His inner. "I doubt Michael-san. I shouldn't have lied to him like that. I can have him sit still watching his way."
Riana buried her face to her knees. "I am evil."
As he silently pondered, he did not realize that a faint smell was smelling through his nose. Riana straightened her face and saw the flesh before her blackened.
"G-Gawat, I forgot to turn it over" he said in a panic. He immediately moved his hand to hold the tip of the satay wood.
Suddenly the wind blew. The sunlight dimmed again, accompanied by clouds that began to cover the sky.
The skies..." Inner Riana while looking up at the sky. "Is it possible that the effects of Michael-san's spell are beginning to disappear?"
Without realizing it, the wind was getting fiercer. The leaves are flying, indicating significant weather changes.
"It seems I have to postpone dinner today," Inner Riana.
But suddenly without realizing it, the clothesline pole standing behind him came off the ground. Causing the sunken clothes to fly towards Riana.
Riana's surprised. The clothes instantly smashed into his face and made him lose control of his footing. He tried to control himself, but realized that something was restraining his body. He eventually fell to the ground.
He put away the clothes that covered his face, only to later see that his entire body had been wrapped around by a clothesline.
"I can't move" He tried to move his body, but in vain.
When he thought that things were really messed up, it turned out that even worse things were happening behind him. A charred-no smell, but rather the smell of something burning, passed in his nose.
Kissing the smell, Riana immediately incised her face. In front of his eyes, he saw flames start to ignite the end of the wooden pole that was still connected to the clothesline.
Riana's face paled immediately. He knew very well what was going on, and thinking about it made him panic instead of floundering.
He continued to try to tear the rope, but the results were nil. There he even made his skin hurt because of friction.
The temperature around you changes. Over time, the heat began to spread to Riana's skin. He could only continue to try to escape, knowing it was in vain.
"Please!" He yelled. As the smoke began to billow amid the raging wind.
Suddenly, a voice came from a distance. A wheel-like sound that aggressively rubbed against the ground.
"Riana!" Michael appeared like a hero. His hand nimbly turned his chair wheel at full speed.
"Michael-san," Riana looked at Michael with great relief.
Michael looked at the wood and rope wrapped around Riana, already half-burned. If left unchecked, then the fire would reach Riana in a few seconds.
At first Michael thought about taking water, but it would take time. "Agh! Suppose I could use water magic, "Germutu. "There's no other way."
Michael stretched out his hand. With his bare hands, he grasped the burning wood and severed the rope connected to Riana.
"Michael-san!" Riana looked at Michael who was recklessly burning his hand. He didn't think Michael would do anything like that.
Michael immediately threw away the burning wood and turned to look at Riana.
"Are you hurt?" His question.
Riana broke away from the winding of the rope. "No. I'm fine, "He then glanced at Michael's dead-red hands. "Michael-san, your hand. You were holding the burned part, yeah."
"Ah, yes. It seems so."
Riana immediately pushed Michael's wheelchair and walked into the house. There he immediately gave Michael first aid.
He washed Michael's arm with running water for about 20 minutes. It is beneficial to cool the wound and reduce pain. In addition, it is also able to prevent swelling.
After washing the wound, Riana immediately sought a cure for the wound. But wherever he searched, he found nothing useful.
"Wire, there is usually a stock of herbal plants. But there's nothing, yeah," Riana ransacked the whole closet.
"Riana," Call Michael. He then showed me something in his hand. A bundle of strange green plants with a surface filled with blunt spikes resembling scales. "Maybe we can use this."
Riana instantly recognized the plant. "ah! Aloe vera!"
He immediately took it. The plant was cut into pieces until part of the flesh appeared. From that part of the meat, he got a kind of gel that can be used as a topical medicine.
Riana applied the gel to Michael's wound slowly. He made sure Michael was not in pain, even though Michael actually did not feel anything thanks to his physical training so far.
"Michael-san, I'm sorry, yes" Riana said. "I'm getting you hurt. I should have protected you."
Michael looked at Riana's face that was so filled with guilt. He unceasingly apologized in a sorry tone.
"Hey, what do you mean to protect me?" Reply Michael. "I am not weak. I'm just being blocked by this leg."
"Because of that, I can't just let you go. Katherine-san said that I should be your protector" said Riana.
"The woman is yes. You still thinking about his words?"
Riana nodded. "Well, if not me who will protect you? If you fall out of a wheelchair, who will help you stand up? If you're having trouble picking something up high, who's gonna take it for you?"
Michael was silent without a word. The words that Riana had just spoken, seemed to go deep into her heart. Like flowing water, it provides fertility in long-arid soil.
"He cares so much about me?" Inner Michael.
He laughed a little, with a slightly blushed face. "Thank you, Riana. I-I didn't expect you'd be that worried" he said.
Riana raised her face, looking at Michael with shining eyes. "Of course I'm worried. I will not allow anyone who has helped this village any trouble" he said. "More if it's you."
Michael was a little surprised, but he immediately changed the topic. "By the way, how was my work today? I'd like to ask you for an honest assessment" he said with a flushed face.
Riana scratched her head. "W-You want to ask for an honest assessment, huh?" Her speech. "All right, I'll be honest. My assessment is... C!"
"Ehh! C!?" Michael slipping. "Didn't I do everything right?"
"The results are true, but your ways are exaggerated. To dry your clothes, you have to use that crazy magic. And to cut the meat, you've destroyed the tabletop."
"Well, about that," Michael threw away his eyes. He did not want to see Riana's serious look. "Huff, maybe I really need some more practice. But at least meat for dinner is safe, right?"
"Of course-Eh, wait. Like I remembered something."
The two of them immediately went to the grounds, only to see the flesh that Riana had burnt to a blackening. In the end, the meat cannot be saved.
"Looks like we're not going to dinner today."
