A sunny day, with a typical Friedlich cool atmosphere. The empty sky and the sunlight hit the dew grains in the grass.
A team with some luxurious horse carriages, had come at Darren's residence. They were the envoys of General Friedlich.
Tora came out of the tent to greet them. Get Akira off one of the trains.
"Where's Esema-kun?" Akira immediately asked, because Darren was not there.
Tora replied while bowing respectfully, "He is preparing. Please wait a little more."
Meanwhile, in the tent...
"Esema-sama! Wake Esema-sama!" Shiro pushed through Darren's body, which was sleeping. "They have arrived."
Darren grumbled while half-conscious. "Agh... What's the matter, ma?" He uttered that involuntarily while rolling flips over from Shiro. "I'm not in school today."
"Eh? M-mama?" Shiro surprised.
Darren opened his eyes slowly. He began to sit and look around. He finally realized.
"Oh, Shiro. What's up?" He asked as if nothing had happened.
Shiro blushed, but he tried to keep his behavior in front of his Master, "Eh, anu! Um... Para, anu... Akira-san," He's stammering.
But luckily Darren understood. "Oh, Akira. Please tell him I'm getting ready."
"Well, Esema-sama, "Shiro left Darren.
After being alone, Darren sighed. He held his own head while thinking about what had just happened.
"Agh, why am I suddenly thinking of them?" He said to himself, "Dad, mother..."
.
.
.
Darren out of his tent. Shiro, Tora, and Akira were waiting for him.
"Finally you showed up, too" Akira said. "What took you so long, anyway?"
Darren cangar-cengar while scratching his head. "Ehe, sorry. I fell asleep."
"Geez," replied Akira. "Here you go, let's go quickly. The general must have been waiting for it too."
Darren gets into the train, followed by Akira from behind as a messenger. Shiro and Tora were on the other train because each train only fit two people.
The journey also began. They left in the morning, and by the time it was a little afternoon, they had already passed through Friedlich's outermost city, Veronheim. And now they were almost at the center of the kingdom.
"What should I do when I meet the General?" Darren asked nervously.
"Yes, say hello" replied Akira, taking off his mask. "Have you never been to this kind of meeting?"
"Not yet" replied Darren slowly.
"Hmph. Though the strong are always sought after by the government."
Darren. "Well how else. Where I come from, it's very difficult to meet the president."
"President? Is that some kind of leader you came from?"
"Yes, you could say that."
Akira lifted his eyes out the window. "Actually where the hell are you?" Ask her. "That's what I wanted to ask from yesterday."
"Where did I come from, huh?" Removed Darren. "It's not hard to explain."
Akira turned to Darren for a moment, but he turned his head back. It was as if he understood the difficulties Darren was experiencing.
"alright. You can explain it later in front of the General" he said as he continued to look out.
.
.
.
After quite a while, they arrived at the castle gate.
"Whoah! So big!" Darren gawked in excitement as he looked at the huge castle.
Seeing Darren's behavior, Akira breathed, "Huff, it's true this is the first time, yes."
After entering a bit deep, Darren was lowered near the entrance of the castle building. There Akira will be Darren's guide to the meeting room.
"All of you, follow me!" Akira started leading the way.
Darren runs parallel to Tora and Shiro. Looking at the expressions of his two subordinates, Darren concluded that this was also the first time they had entered such a luxurious and massive building.
Grabbs! Darren clasped both of their hands.
"Esema-sama, what's wrong?" Shiro surprise.
"Do you think there's something weird?" Tora was immediately on guard.
"Be near me, yes!" Darren told them both.
Akira pointed at a door. Very wide and shiny door. Just look at it with your eyes, this door must be cleaned every day. It even looks like metal.
"Come in. The general is waiting for you inside" Akira said as he opened the door.
As he entered, Darren saw someone sitting there. Several soldiers were also seen standing beside him, possibly as guards.
"You must be Esema. Please sit down" said the general.
Darren took a seat a little far away and sat down. While Tora and Shiro were standing beside her.
"Tora, Shiro, sit down" Darren told the two of them.
"But, Esema-sama..." Shiro was about to refuse but was immediately cut off.
"That's it, just sit down," Darren interrupted.
Shiro and Tora sat down on the chair, next to Darren. It was witnessed by the General, but he didn't seem to care. In fact, the soldiers beside him were visibly annoyed.
"Hey, you!" Said one of the soldiers, pointing at Shiro. "You are an animal man, not worthy to sit there. Move up!"
Shiro had complied, but was immediately prevented by Darren.
"No, Shiro. Sit down," Darren said quietly.
"But, Esema-sama..."
"That's it. Just sit. That's my order!"
Shiro sat back down, and it made the army even more annoyed.
"You...!" The army was about to expel him but was also immediately stopped by the General.
"Stop. Don't make a fuss here" he said, and the soldier returned to his original position.
"Include me, my name is Schlaff. Royal general Friedlich, "Common general introduced himself.
Darren immediately stood up and bowed, like the scenes in the movies. "Introduction, my name is Da-Aswan. Nice to meet you, Schlaff-sama."
"Call me Schlaff-dono. Because we're probably gonna work together in the future."
Darren pulled back his body and sat down.
Schlaff confidently continued, "If you'd like, would you like to cooperate with the Friedlich government?"
Darren surprised. Not surprised by the offer, but by how the general acted.
"You? Offering me a relationship?" Darren said in a high tone. "What kind of general are you."
The general was flinched, even everyone was there as well. The two soldiers immediately shouted. "The guests do not know themselves. The general has kindly offered you cooperation. But you retaliated with ridicule!?"
But Schlaff looked calm again. "Why are you mocking me?" Ask him casually.
Darren replied. "A great general will not offer such things easily to strangers" Darren replied. "For example, if it turns out that I am a bad person, who wants to destroy this kingdom from within. And you hired me and then there was chaos. Are you gonna take responsibility?"
Schlaff scowled. What Darren said has a point.
"Maybe you're right, Esema-dono. I have to be more careful" he replied. "But I'm sure you're a good person."
"Yes, I don't mean anything. But I'm just warning you not to repeat the same thing in the future."
Schlaff smiled. "It turns out that you are also attentive, Esema-dono," he said. "I'm becoming more and more convinced that you're a suitable person to work with."
Darren showed a flat expression. "This guy really sucks at this."
Darren breathed a heavy sigh. "Then, what exactly makes you so interested in me?"
"Your talent" replied Schlaff. "You have a rare talent that only one in five hundred million people have."
"So, you just need my powers?" Connect Darren. "You didn't mean to steal my talent or anything like that, did you?"
"stealing talent? The first time I heard anything like that" Schlaff replied.
"Looks like they're good. I am the only one who is too parno. It's better if I'm not too careful." Thought Darren.
"Alright, I'll join," Darren finally agreed. He was thankful that this general before him was so stupid. Otherwise, he might have already been interrogated and questioned a lot of things. Just how he came from, and why he could be a fugitive.
"Good," replied Schlaff. "From now on, you can stay in this castle. And I will tell the king about this good news. Let him decide the next step."
Darren stood up from his chair, and he stomped the table firmly, "But, there's one thing I want to tell you," Darren looked at Schlaff seriously. "My subordinates, Shiro and Tora. Treat them like you treat me."
One of the soldiers retaliated abruptly. "can't. Animal humans don't deserve to live in this clean castle!"
Darren's upset. He immediately threatened, "If you don't want to, then I don't want to ally with you either."
Schlaff immediately tensed up. He hurriedly ordered his soldiers to calm down.
"Don't worry, Esema-dono. I'll make sure your men are served properly" Schlaff said.
Darren felt confident, and he could calm down. But from that he realized that, even in this peaceful kingdom, racism was still really felt.
"I have to change this bad rule."
