Isekai No Gakusei: Students From Another World

Isekai No Gakusei: Students From Another World
Welcome to the Rebel Group

"It looks like they've moved away" Dyland said as he opened a slight gap in the bushes.

"Wait, were they cops?" Ask Darren. "Why did you run away from the police? Are you fugitives?"

"Std... Don't talk out loud, they'll know" Clara fizzed. "We're not criminals, it's just..."

"just?" Connect Darren.

"Well, maybe you're right. You could say we're fugitives, " Clara said heavily, while Dyland was behind her patting her on the forehead.

"Clara, didn't I tell you not to reveal everything?" Dyland said in a disappointed tone. "Have been. It's already gone."

"Wait, who are you guys?" Ask Darren again.

Clara and Dyland only stared at her briefly with sharp gazes.

"You... want to know?" Clara said with a serious face.

Darren nodded slowly, though he himself became hesitant after seeing their facial expressions.

"We are actually..." Clara said slowly. His tone was dramatic.

"We are soldiers of the rebel forces" Suddenly Dyland continued in a flat tone.

"Hey, brother. This should be said more dramatically! So that the plot-twist of the story may be felt!" Clara hit Dyland slowly, but Dyland ignored her.

"Rebellion?" Darren looked confused.

"Yes, the rebel forces against the tyranny that rules in this country" Dyland replied.

"T-Tyranny? Is this country under occupation?"

"It is not appropriate to be called 'colonized', but it makes no difference either" Dyland replied. "This country is being led by a Demon King named Han. Since his leadership, the country has become more and more devastated and is slowly collapsing."

"Demon King? Is he one of the true Demon Lords?" Inner Darren.

"Citizens are forced to pay taxes that are increased ten times than usual. Some were unable to pay and had to sell their property. Even the death toll from starvation has increased dramatically" Dyland said.

"Is there no kind of protest from the community? Or maybe a protest?"

Clara answered. "People who protest and denounce the regulation will be sent to the mine to be laborers. Worse, they will be employed for life and not paid at all."

"Everyone has no choice but to follow the rules. They are now living under fear of this tyranny" Dyland said. "However, there are still people who dare to oppose it. They were determined to erase this injustice and eventually form a rebel army."

"Like the two of you?" Darren looked at them.

"Yes, we're one of them."

Darren pondered for a moment. Looks like Lionna's warning isn't just a word. The country is indeed undergoing destruction from within and it seems that it will be very difficult to try to survive here.

However, Darren so thought of something else. About the Demon King leading here. He was eager to meet her. Wishing he could tell Darren a little information about the Dark Demon King.

"Can we join?" Darren said suddenly.

Clara and Dyland gasped at it.

"Join, you say?" You think this is a community organization?" Dyland Sahut. "Our outsiders like you better avoid trouble, don't look for it."

Clara replied with a nod. "really. Moreover, you are a human. Your rights in this country are really at stake" he said. "Before that. Can't you give your employer permission before you speak?"

"It's okay. He is free to decide" Shiro said. "My subordinate is my right hand. He is a man I trust very much. You must treat him properly."

Clara breathed a heavy breath. "Huff, didn't you guys just say he wanted to go visit family. Why would you want to join the rebel forces."

Shiro casually replied. "That's why I wanted to join. Many people suffered and died. Maybe my parents will be next."

Clara and Dyland were silent.

"Hm, that's a reasonable excuse. Honestly, I won't ask you again. If that's your reason, I don't mind" Dyland said in a flat tone. He stood up and looked around again.

"I also agree with my sister" continued Clara. "You guys seem like good people. If you want to join, then you must meet the chairman first."

Dyland suddenly moved his hand. "It looks like they're gone. We can go back to headquarters now." He then turned to Darren and his friends. "Follow us if you're serious about joining."

Darren nodded. They also started to step foot from there.

Darren was grateful that Shiro could act so well. With just a hint, Shiro could perfectly understand Darren's intention to join this rebel group.

But Darren believes that one day, this secret will be exposed. Neither lies about the Shiro family, nor their false status.

That was why Darren had intended to complete his goal before it was too late, which was to meet the Demon King who was leading this land. He probably knew something about the Dark Demon King.

However, it seemed like this plan would not be as easy as he had imagined. Judging from the tense situation, Darren was sure that there must be something behind this.

About high taxes, even making people miserable. Hngga employed people forcibly without reward.

The more Darren thought about it, the more he felt that this matter was very convoluted. The possibilities he found varied.

Darren and his friends move further inside the Avon. But they did not walk to the central city, but to the dense forests that seemed to be the place where the headquarters of the rebels were located.

After entering the forests, Darren realized that the path Dyland showed was circling. They passed through the same place several times until they finally moved back towards the path they should have.

This was not a trap, but rather one way to remove the tracks in case there were spies following them.

"They're on guard too" Darren said in his heart.

After circling a few times, Dyland suddenly stopped at a towering mound of rock. Beside him there was a small hole, but it was covered by a large round stone.

Dyland knocked on the towering rock several times. Tock, tock, tock... About four times. And before long, the round stone that covered the cave opened.

"Woah, Captain Dyland, you've been to the Eh, who are they?" Said a demon who opened the way. They stared at Darren and the others warily.

"They want to join. Let them in" Dyland said without further ado.

"Well, if that's your order," the man let them in.

Their headquarters was located underground in the middle of the forest. Looking from its location, it seemed like they were trying to remain hidden from the outside range. Darren and his friends are lucky to cross paths with Dyland and Clara. Otherwise, they might never know this place.

Shiro is immediately taken in by Dyland to face the chairman alone, but Shiro insists on bringing Darren along for the meeting.

"Good, fine. Bring your subordinates. But you can only take one, " Dyland said as he walked into a room.

The two eventually leave Tora under Clara's care, and follow Dyland.

"Excuse me" Dyland said as he opened the door.

Looks like someone's been sitting across the old wooden table. That man is nothing but a demon. Shiny brown hair, a pair of pointy horns, and black eyes sharply stared at Darren. Not too old and not too young.

Shortly after Darren entered, the man stood up and bowed his regards. "Welcome," he said.

Darren and Shiro bowed back.

"It looks like Dyland is bringing a talented person back here, yes" he said as he sat back down.

"It wasn't me who brought them, it was them who wanted to come" Dyland replied.

"Ho, really? Good."

"Why should I mind? I also have a human companion," replied the man. "Oh yeah, how disrespectful I am. My name is Samson. Chairman of the rebel organization."

Darren blew Shiro's ears slowly.

"N-I'm Shiro. And he is my subordinate, Esema. Outside also there is another subordinate of mine, his name is Tora," Shiro said. "Greetings."

"So, Shiro. What made you want to join us?" Samson suddenly asked a question. "You can't join without a good reason, can you?"

Shiro immediately replied, "I originally came here to visit my parents. However, I heard that there was chaos here. Surely I don't want any danger in this land to hurt my parents."

"That's all?" Samson. He then folded his hands and leaned against the table. "If we're fellow monsters, but you must remain aware of your status."

Darren and Shiro flinched.

"You are in the land of the devil. Animal humans like you are just guests on this land. Do you think I'll just let you join in?" Connect Samson.

Shiro swallowed his saliva. This response was not in line with what he expected.

Darren panicked. He looks calm, but actually he is afraid that their lies will be exposed.

"Shiro, respond! I believe you can get through this, " Darren said in his heart.

Shiro took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "I have no rights. However, I'm doing this not just for my parents" he said. "After hearing Dyland and Clara's explanation, I knew that everyone here was suffering. They had no strength to resist and could only accept a predetermined fate."

"Then, what does this have to do with you?" Samson said intimidatingly.

"Nothing" Shiro replied briefly. The answer left everyone there surprised.

"But is that how justice works?" Shiro suddenly continued. His face was sharp and serious.

Darren who saw that realized something. What Shiro will say next is not an act anymore, but an outpouring of his heart.

"Is it only because of a difference that we cannot achieve justice together?" Connect Shiro. "I believe that justice is higher than any difference. All people, all races, deserve justice."

"I myself was once saved from injustice, by a human being," Shiro continued. His face is glowing. "If I were an animal man and a lowly slave, he would release us from the hands of the wicked. He was willing to fight to uphold the justice he had believed all along."

"Therefore, do you believe that justice will not be limited by anything?" Connect Samson. He then grinned a little while clapping his hands. "Congratulations, you passed my test."

Samson moved out of his chair and approached Shiro. "I like your thinking. I also believe that justice is not restricted by anything" he said. "I will be very willing to accept members like you, as well as your subordinates."

Shiro smiled happily.

"However, I became interested in your story" Samson continued. "The man who saved you. Is it possible for me to meet him?"

Shiro surprised. Of course, because actually the person in the story was the person he admired all this time, and also the person closest to him.

"I'm sure Shiro-sama can help you meet him," Darren replied suddenly.

Samson turned towards Darren and smiled. "Dyland," he called. "Take them to the room in the corner. Let them spend the night there. From now on, they are part of the organization."

"Alright" replied Dyland. "You two, follow me."

Before leaving the room, Darren and Shiro took the time to greet.

"Thank you, Samson-sama," Darren bowed.

"Please, call me Samson. I'm not used to being called that" Samson said. "And tomorrow, meet me here again. I have something to explain."

Darren smiles. "Understand, Samson."

They leave the room and follow Tora and Clara to go to the room that has been provided.

"It is not usual for the chairman to give a special room to someone. It seems like he likes you guys" Clara said as she walked. "I was really surprised to hear that."

"really? Besides, I like him too. He's like a nice person to talk to" Darren replied.

"He is like that. Cheerful and easy to get along with, but can also be loud and firm in serious circumstances" Dyland said, pointing out a door. "This is your room. Use it as you please, because it's the chairman's order."

"Alright, thank you," Darren, Shiro, and Tora bowed.

The three of them entered the room, while Dyland and Clara returned to work on their duties.

The room was not very nice, but still included the standard word to live in. There was a mattress and a thin carpet underneath. In the corner of the room, there was also a dusty wooden cabinet.

Darren tore off some of the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. "We'd better clean this place up first."

Tora and Shiro nodded in agreement.

They started working. Darren cleans some parts with water magic, while Tora blows thick dust with her wind magic. On the other hand, Shiro tried to compile their items as weathered as possible.

"Shiro," Call Darren suddenly. He stopped his work and was silent for a moment.

"What's the matter, Esema-sama?" Shiro answered.

"About your story," Darren continued.

"M-I'm sorry, Esema-sama. I was really carried away. I might've said something weird-"

"No. It's okay" Darren said. He looked at Shiro and smiled at him. "Good job, Shiro."

Seeing Darren smile at him, Shiro's heart felt flowery. He became happy, and began to tremble.

"Thank you, Esema-sama," He reassembled the items with swaying hands.

It's night, and it's time to go to bed. The eyes of the three of them stared at a mattress located in the middle of the room.

"I'm going to sleep on the carpet," Tora suddenly instantly crumpled up on the carpet without further ado. "Shiro-sama and Esema-sama can sleep on the bed."

"T-T-Tora-kun!" Shiro's face widened while blushing.

"Yes, how else, right?" Reply Tora with a seductive face. He glanced at Shiro as if whispering, "Come, Shiro-sama. This is your chance."

Shiro's face became increasingly disfigured. His expression grew even more chaotic as Darren suddenly opened his mouth.

"Tora said that. Although the mattress is only one, but wide enough. We can share it," Darren said. "

Shiro almost fainted hearing that. "*-*-*-but... Esema-sama-"

"Of course, we're not doing anything anyway" Darren cut. "Good night."

Eventually Darren and Shiro split the mattresses, while Tora giggled slightly watching them.
