Chaptre 100. Find Reggie's
The ringing of the phone distracts Mike from the laptop screen in front of him. He glanced and frowned when he saw Nick's name on the phone screen. Isn't Nick following Regina to escort his father to the internist...
"Yes?" Mike quickly answered.
"Tu...Mister...." Nick stuttered with an agitated tone of voice.
"What's wrong Nick?"
"Mrs, Mister...Some people intercepted us and kidnapped Madam ...."
"What!!" Mike listened with his heart pounding as Nick described the event that had just happened before him. Their mistress had been taken, Fidel was unconscious, thankfully a bulletproof vest kept them from picking up death. But Fidel's head was hit by a bullet, the man was still breathing and Nick had tried to stop the bleeding from the side of his head by rubbing Fidel's head with a cloth. Then he checked on the lifeless Edward. Trained to endure the pain of having his thighs shot, Nick gave a look and was grateful to see Mr. Eloy slumped down on the concrete road towards the tomb.
Nick immediately helped the old man stand up and carried him into the car. He sat down next to Fidel before driving to the hospital. Earlier he called Alex in charge of security for the Langton Clan so that the man ordered his men to deal with Edward's body and investigate the attack.
Nick learns Alex is out of the office with Mr Derek, who overhears the conversation, and orders him to go to the hospital where Barkley's team of doctors are waiting for them.
Then he called Mr. Mike who might kill him soon when they meet. Nick resigned, their mistress was taken prisoner and I don't know what the criminals wanted.
After arriving at the hospital, Nick is greeted by Barkley's doctor who is waiting for him with Derek and Alex.
The two men helped bring down the deathly pale and stiff Lord Eloy. With great difficulty the old lips muttered towards Derek.
"Derek...Regina's...." He reached towards Derek with tears flowing. Derek immediately greeted the old hand and grasped it tightly.
"Shh...Please calm down. Take care of your condition, sir. We'll find him! I promise!"
The sound of a car squeaking in front of the emergency unit. Mike got off the passenger bench with a deathly pale face and riled eyes.
"Derek..."
Derek signs with his eyes for Nurse to bring Mr. Eloy inside with Fidel and Nick who have been brought in. Alex has entered with Nick. Several bodyguards in free clothes were seen wandering the region. Mike realizes Alex has contacted people in the underground network who often help them.
Derek grabbed Mike by the shoulder and took him inside.
"Relax...We assess the situation so we can move fast."
Mike nodded and wordlessly followed as Derek sighed his shoulder into the emergency department.
Doctor Barkley escorts them in a special room, where Mr. Eloy and Nick are being treated.
"What they want!" Alex frowned after hearing Nick's words.
"This is the threat letter." Alex held out the letter to Mike. Nick picks up the papers the kidnappers threw into Regina's car just before they leave.
"I'm gonna kill your favorite daughter, bitch.." Derek whispered the words written on the paper.
Derek cringing. "Why did he call you Mr. Eloy's bitch?"
Eloy Sanchez looked wide-eyed with a whitish face as if she had lost her hue. Since being taken by Nick to the hospital, he has thought and suspected the mastermind of this incident.
"Witch.that's.that's...." Eloy could not continue the conjecture in her brain. Bitch is Eleanor's call to Marinna, could it be that the woman who's gone mad....
After gulping repeatedly, Eloy tried to speak." Maybe..may it be Eleanor?"
"Your first wife?" mike said hoarsely after realizing who the woman called by Eloy.
Eloy nodded quickly. " He had been locked up by his cousin Beltrand in a mental institution after I discovered the torture he had inflicted on Lucius. I almost killed him, but Beltran promised to lock him up in a mental institution and not keep him out forever...."
Mike rubbed his face, recalling Regina's story of the torture the woman had inflicted on Lucius. " Alex...Hurry up.." whispered Mike quietly. He suddenly felt weak and retreated. It would have almost fallen if it had not been immediately captured by Derek.
"Big Brother's Please... Don't think about the no-no first. Our people are moving...."
Derek forced Mike to sit in a chair. Mike frowned to realize the name Beltrand mentioned by Mr. Eloy.
"Beltran?...In the past, a man named Bertrand came the day after you met Rudolf in search of Marinna. This man also searched for Marinna, then a few days later, on his way to the Sky mansion, Regina was shot. We thought this man was your man...."
Eloy swerved while shaking her head." No. gabe...No Mike, I can't possibly tell people to hurt my wife and daughter! She's Beltrand, Eleanor's cousin, the one who takes care of all the properties and the Montague company.because Eleanor's sole heir is declared insane and can't take care of any of it."
"I will prepare the car and add to the hospital guard. We're going to visit this guy's place. "Derex stepped aside and immediately contacted several people.
Alex looked at Mike who repeatedly rubbed his face, Alex knew how worried the man was. His wife and daughter were still in the womb, brought by a mental disorder sufferer who does not hesitate to torture his own son.
The ringing of his phone distracted Alex. He saw Ivy's name on the screen and frowned.
"Yes?" Alex tried to set his tone.
"You know where Derek is? I can't reach him." Eve asked directly in an impatient tone of voice.
"What's wrong? why are you looking for him?"
"Amy in the hospital. She's about to give birth. Tell me where is he?"
Alex closed his eyes and took a deep breath. That old silence made Eve finally scream.
"Hey!! You heard me, right!?"
"I'll tell Derek, Ivy. You take care of Amy. Make sure everything's okay. Okay...."
Alex's tone of voice made Eve finally realize something was wrong.
"Alexes...What was? Where's Derek?"
"Oh, Derek's with us Ivy. He's doing just fine. It's just that something happened to Reggie."
"Reggie? What's wrong with Reggie?" Eve asks worriedly considering Reggie is pregnant.
"Someone Kidnapped Reggie, Ivy. Leaving a threatening letter will kill him."
"What!!" Eve shouted back.
"Now calm down Ivy. Amy needs you. I'm gonna tell Derek that he can go with Amy. The situation has not yet found a bright spot at this time. Derek'd better accompany his wife first."
"Yes.tell him everything's fine. So far everything's been good..."
"good. We're counting on you Ivy." Alex turns off his phone and gets close to Derek who is still busy calling. Alex patted the man's shoulder gently.
"Derek..."Alex brought his mouth closer to Derek's ear and whispered. Derek widened and immediately glanced at Mike who had just closed the call on his phone.
"Go away. I'll take care of him. We're going to go see Beltran" Alex said, nodding his head.
Derek took a deep breath and was just about to say something when Mike approached them.
"We're leaving now Alex. Lance called. Lucius could not be reached. He just left the office after receiving a phone call."
The three men looked at each other before Derek finally broke the silence.
"I've contacted our men, they're waiting for you at the Montague mansion. Go to the helipad runway above, our helicopter is waiting for you and will take you there. I'm going to the hospital to see Amy and make sure the delivery goes well, I'll join her afterwards..." Alex nodded at Derek's words, while Mike's face grew louder and louder with the word childbirth, remembering Reggie and his little daughter still in the womb. Derek understood very well how Mike was feeling at the moment, then he held Mike into the arms.
"Trust me Brother...We'll find him..." The whisperings made Mike close his eyes. He prayed to God that Derek would be right.
