Chaptre 58. Looking to the eyes

Lucius washes his face in the sink. He waited for the nausea spinning in his stomach to disappear. His long hair back he tied into one behind the neck. He closed his eyes hoping the nausea would go away because he had to see his guests immediately.

After a while, Lucius felt better. He picked up a towel and wiped his face as he stepped out of the toilet.

Lucius went to the west wing guest hall and his estimation was correct, Lance had brought his guests and a servant named Rose into the room. The west wing was his residence, only certain people could enter it, so there would be no servants or anyone who would hear or see their meeting by accident.

The footsteps that entered the room made Reggie again tighten his grip on Mike's shirt. He knew it was Lucius's footsteps that had come to them.

Mike held Reggie deeper into his arms. It still covered the figure of the girl from Lucius' sight.

"I wonder what your brother will do after knowing your true identity." Mike's whisper made Reggie very surprised and immediately looked up.

"You ... you know ...," whispered Reggie wide.

"Yes. I know everything, Regina." Mike looked down at the large, black round eyes that were staring at him. They were long-sighted until the sound of Lucius's gloom made the two flinch.

"Ehem! Anyone want to explain to me the real events? Who's this waitress? And if he's a member of your clan, Derek. What was the purpose of coming in here disguised as a servant."

Lucius went to the sofa that was farthest from his guests. He then sighed his hand at the sofas before him, allowing his guests to sit down. But none of them moved.

"Well .. You guys seem more comfortable standing up. Don't make me disrespectful by saying I didn't offer you a seat." Lucius' words received no response. He raised an eyebrow, then crossed his legs with his arms crossed.

"Explain who this girl is, Derek!" Lucius' voice became sharp. With a cold face he looked at the Langton family leader who was standing not far from Mike.

"Why did you put a spy into my residence!" Lucius spoke again when Derek remained silent.

The servant girl in Mike's arms is seen leaning her forehead against Mike's chest. He looks like he will fall if Mike does not support his body.

Mike kissed Reggie's head. Hugged her tightly and whispered, "you just need to open your identity. Next leave everything to me .. He won't be able to do anything to you. We're taking you back to the Langton family."

Reggie did not make a sound, as hard as he could to hold back his tears from falling. His feelings are mixed. He felt frightened, horrified, happy to meet, but also worried about his brother's reaction, relieved that there was Mike who supported him, but also be concerned about the problems that will occur between Mike and Lucius later. But Reggie realized his most dominant feeling was fear, he clasped Mike's shirt tighter, snatched the shirt so that the cloth was pulled into his grasp.

"You're gonna make that shirt rip with your hand ...." Lucius looked at the back of the girl who was in Mike's arms.

"Come, Langton! You have to give me an explanation!" Lucius looked back at Derek.

Mike raised Reggie's chin and gave the girl a nod of support when their eyes met, then Mike would slowly twist Reggie's body to Lucius, but Derek's clap on his shoulder made Mike stop abruptly.

"Mike .. we can take him home right away. We don't owe Sanchez any explanation."

Reggie stared into Derek's eyes from over Mike's shoulder. He tried to smile which even looked like a ringing to Derek.

"Nothing ... I want to do it ...," whispered Reggie hoarsely. He looked at Mike who nodded again and turned his body to face Lucius. Mike's chest became the backstop for Reggie. Both of his arms were holding Reggie from behind.

"Look carefully at this girl, Lucius ...." Mike looked at Lucius who was directing his eyes at Regina. The two brothers looked at each other.

At first there was no expression on Lucius's face, then the man started to stand up from the sofa and walked a few steps, his forehead wrinkled deeply, yet his eyes never went to stare at the pair of black eyes staring back at him. His memory goes back to the past. The same eyes that often looked at him with the innocence of a little girl. Lucius was wide-eyed, gulping his saliva many times.

Mike watched as the introduction of Regina's figure flashed in Lucius' eyes. The man suddenly walked backwards, but this time his huge body seemed to be slightly staggered. Lance immediately approached and held onto it.

"Mr ...." Lance looked worriedly at his master's extremely pale face. With his body propped up in Lance's hand, Lucius walked away, then he stopped behind a sofa. He rested his hands on the couch. Derek and Mike realized that Lucius' hands were shaking.

Mike realized Reggie's own situation was no better. The girl trembled violently, Mike's embrace did not detract from the vibration felt from Reggie's body.

They all waited with anxious hearts. Looking at Lucius who was standing on the back of the sofa in front of him. Looking at his pale face as if the blood on the surface of his skin had run out.

"Nr ...." Lucius stop. His voice was hoarse as if something was sticking up his throat. He swallowed again repeatedly.

"It's been almost 19 years Gina ..," whispered Lucius hoarsely. Looking at the black eyes he was so familiar with when they were together almost 19 years ago.
