Reggie felt that look. A gaze shot towards his back, as if someone was throwing embers towards his back. Adrian smiled very sweetly with his brown eyes staring gently at Reggie.

"I think soon someone will propose a duel with me," said Adrian amused.

Reggie giggled softly at Adrian's joke.

"Oh, relax. He is the most rational person and maintains the attitude. I don't think he cares who I'm with right now." But Reggie's heart was racing.

"Don't shrink your meaning, dear Regina. You see .... He's headed out here, smile" Adrian said.

"Regina ...."

Reggie turned around when he heard someone calling his name. He immediately put on a cheerful big smile.

"A, Mike .... Where are the others?" Reggie started talking. Feeling his mood was extremely carefree at this moment, while the atmosphere between the two men nearby began to heat up.

"Who is this guy?" Instead of answering Reggie's question, Mike asked as he looked into Adrian's brown eyes.

"He ...." Reggie turned his head towards Adrian who had extended his hand. Reluctantly Mike was forced to welcome the offer.

"I'm Adriano Corlence. Just call Adrian. You're Gina's friend?"

Gina's name called by Adrian tells Mike that they are familiar, until they call each other first names.

"And who are you? Friends Regina?" Mike's flat, cold voice made Reggie a little misbehaved. He glanced at the crowd and found Lucius and Margarita looking at him while standing in the corner of the hall, then in the other direction there are the couple Derek and Amy and Alex and Eve who are watching in their direction.

Adrian raises his eyebrows when he hears Mike asking him the same question without answering his question just now.

"I'm trying hard to make her a lover. My parents really liked it." Adrian smiled kindly and winked at Mike who tightened his molars.

"Have you brought him to see your parents?"

"Not exactly like that ... Lucius was my best friend, I invited him to dinner with Gina, they came and met my parents, so to speak. Uh I'm sorry, but who are you?" adrian asked, as if he had just realized that he was talking to an unknown person.

Fucking actors! Reggie smiled amusedly inwardly.

"Ah, he's Mike. He's my friend, Adrian." Reggie help answer. Mike squinted his eyes at the black-haired girl. The eyes seem to talk.

A protest? or what? Reggie couldn't count.

"He's the one I want to introduce to all of you" Reggie told Mike.

Mike felt a hole begin to gap in his heart.

Make Regina a lover? Adrian's words are recorded and flashed repeatedly in Mike's brain, making him stifled, overheated and uncomfortable.

"You enjoy the party. I'll be out for a minute. I have something to do." Mike says he left the couple. Reggie looked until the back disappeared behind the crowd, then he pulled Adrian's hand to meet Amy who was still standing with her husband, Eve and Alex.

Reggie introduces Adrian to them and Adrian does the same thing by saying it will make Reggie a lover. Amy and Eve smiled happily, while Derek and Alex looked at the man with flat faces but judgment-filled eyes looking at Adrian.

In the library room of the mansion, Mike began pouring drinks into the glass. He decided to go up to the library mansion, where he liked to spend time while in the main mansion of Langton. He sipped a drink and brought his glass to the balcony. Look at the flickering lights in the distance and the dark sky that shaded the night.

It flashed back how Reggie whispered fondly with Adrian and his blood bubbled back. Mike took a deep breath and looked at the lounge chair on the balcony. He took himself to sit down and began to lay down his body. The glass in his hand he put on the floor.

Mike closed his eyes and tried to clear his mind. All this time he realizes he is denying his feelings for Regina. The fear of not being able to give a surname and the fear of marriage ties made Mike close his eyes and heart. He even hurt the girl's feelings. It's only natural that Reggie ends up liking someone else.

Now that she was ready and at peace with the past, Regina had another man by her side. A very handsome man, well established and looks responsible. But does Regina love him? Mike opened his eyes wide.

Yes ... The man said that he was trying to make Regina a lover, meaning that Regina has not accepted him as a lover. Now they're just friends, although the guy seems very interested and Reggie seems to want to give him a chance.

"What are you doing here?" Derek's voice at the door to the balcony shocked Mike.

"Why are you here yourself?" Mike asked back. Derek chuckles.

"Why lookin' for me?"

"You accompany you to drink."

This time it was Mike's turn to snigger. Derek had a drink in his hand. He leaned against the guardrail facing toward Mike's chair.

"Have you met him?"

Mike knows exactly the direction Derek's question is going.

"I heard he's a successful actor, has a good reputation and a good family" Derek said.

"Yeah ... Lucius wouldn't introduce his sister to any less criteria, would he?" said Mike sour.

"You're giving up?" derek asked curiously.

Mike raised his eyebrows, feeling funny with Derek's question.

"I saw you leave the hall, as if you didn't feel anything seeing Reggie being with someone else .... Or is it so? What are my eyes that have been wrong all this time thinking that you have a special feeling for Regina."

Derek waited for Mike to reply. The man frowned.

"If Regina accepts Adrian, Lucius will soon get them engaged. That's what Adrian wants" Derek said.

"Because? Then I have to mess with Lucius' plan." Mike chuckles.

Derek breathed out, relieved. He thought Mike was going to back out. But the determination he saw in those two gray eyes made him believe he was mistaken.

"What's your plan?"

"Oh, I won't tell you, Derek." Mike laughed again, this time his heart felt light. Feeling his hunting instinct rise up and this time Mike knows for sure who the prey he is after.

They both sipped drinks while chatting. After the drinks run out, Derek invites Mike back down. The sight of Reggie dancing with Adrian greets Mike's eyes. Both of Adrian's arms hugged Reggie intimately, his head lowered with lips full of smiles towards Reggie who was looking at him with sparkling eyes. Mike watched the couple spin on the dance floor. He walked slowly by the edge of the hall, his eyes never falling apart staring at Regina.

Lucius looked at Mike who was staring intently at his sister as he slowly stepped around the hall where Regina was dancing with Adrian. The touch of soft fingers on his arm made Lucius turn his head.

"Lucius ..why do I shudder at the way those gray eyes look at your sister. It was as if he was a predator in the middle of a field stalking the prey he was about to hunt." Margarita whispered softly.

"You sure we're not waking up a sleeping tiger? Is Regina gonna be okay?" ask Margarita again.

Lucius stared in the distance. Margarita's right. Mike circled around the hall with slow steps and sharp eyes. He was a little worried about Gina.

The music ends. With a sumringah laugh, Adrian took Regina away from the middle of the dance hall. They head for the drink table, but their steps stop when Mike's big body comes up. He nodded towards Adrian.

"I'm going to kidnap your partner, Mr. Corlence." Mike pulls Reggie's flustered arm and finally follows Mike's steps toward the side door. They smiled at the people they passed by. Reggie was eager to snap his hand that was being pulled by Mike, but he was unwilling to make a fuss and attract attention in the hall.

Mike dragged Reggie away from the mansion into the park. Reggie half-runningly followed his swift pace.

"Mir ... Mike ... stop!" Reggie repeatedly jerked his hand. But it did not manage to escape due to the strong grip of that big hand on his wrist.

"Mike! Unhand me! What exactly do you want!"
