Chapters 20. Misunderstand

Alison's preparing dinner with Esther. Nimbly the girl cooked and prepared it on the table. Pabio smiled broadly as he arrived at the dining table and looked at the girl's work.

"It all looks so delicious" said Pabio, pulling a chair.

"I'll call Alan, Wait for Pabio!. Don't touch anything! we'll pray together before we eat" Esther said to her husband before going up to the second floor and looking for Alan in her room.

I'll call Lucius," Ally said goodbye and got a nod from Pabio.

Ally knew Lucius was in a room that Pabio had worked in. The room was quite large with a mahogany table and a chair placed in the right corner facing the entrance, in the middle of the room, a table surrounded by a sofa in a circular arrangement.

In the chair behind the mahogany table, Lucius sat with his mobile phone in his left ear. He's calling Brad in preparation for his meeting with Mr. Enrico Costra tomorrow night. Already agreed by the male assistant, they will meet at the restaurant of a hotel in the city which is not far from the plantation.

After talking to Brad, Lucius calls Regina and makes a video call. His sister put on an angry face with pouting lips.

"Where's my Marie?" ask Lucius.

"He's sleeping!" said Regina ketus.

"Oh, come on Gina .. Let me see it," Lucius said.

"You don't know if it's night, of course Marie's asleep!"

nearby, Marie made a noise, the baby's chattering was heard on a cell phone.

"You're lying, Regina Eliazar!" Lucius.

"We don't want to talk to you! where were you a few days ago? why didn't you call? you're so busy!" regina grumbled.

"Halo Uncle Lucius ... how are you?"his father's voice rang out and then appeared behind Regina.

"Let us talk to him, Gina." Eloy Sanchez patted her daughter on the shoulder, made Regina shift and gave her seat to her father who was holding Marie.

Marie instantly recognized her uncle and screamed, chattering in an incomprehensible voice. Eloy and Lucius both laughed.

"I think he wants to say that he misses you so much, Lucius" said Eloy in his laughter.

"Hello, Honey. Uncle misses you too. You're getting prettier, "Lucius poked his lips against the screen and acted as if he was kissing Marie.

"How's it going, Lucius?" ask Eloy.

"Sorry Dad. I haven't done anything yet. There's something I need to do first. But tomorrow I'll start driving around with Pabio. Then tonight, I'll meet with Rico. I'm really curious what that guy is like."

"He's a real businessman, son. If he obeys his father, then he must be a good man. He brought the vineyard to be the largest with the best processed products. Just meet and establish familiarity. If he remains unwilling to accept our offer, that's fine, let it be ..." explains Eloy to his son.

Lucius nodded repeatedly. He was curious to see Rico not only because of the plantation land. But also for wanting to see what kind of man would make Ally his mistress.

Long Lucius chatted with his father, Regina only occasionally peeked and still did not want to talk, making Lucius amused by his sister's behavior.

The sound of knocking on the door made Lucius look up.

"Lucius? are you inside?" ally's voice entered her hearing. Lucius immediately said goodbye to his father who looked frowned.

"Dad ... I'm closed, okay. I'll call you back later,"

Marie blabbed, making Lucius smile, "Dah, Marie ... I love you ,Darling ..." At that moment the door opened, Ally's heart slipped ', the man was smiling in front of the screen and he really did not hear wrong. Lucius had just said the word love .. to someone named Marie.

"Lucius?" the whisper asked in a very soft tone.

Lucius looked up, "Yes? come here Ally," Lucius broke off the relationship and put down his phone. He looked at Ally who was still standing in the middle of the door with both hands intertwined.

"I didn't mean to bother you .. It's just that dinner was ready. Pabio was waiting, "he said in a normal tone, but his heart somehow felt very painful. The pain that made Ally want to squeeze her chest.

"Come .. don't make the old man wait," Lucius got up and walked over as he clasped Ally's shoulder who nodded and tried to make a small smile. They walked to the dining room, where Alan was sitting neatly flanked by Esther and Pabio.

Ally and Lucius sat on the other side of the table side by side. Previously, Lucius pulled a chair and let Ally sit down, only then he pulled out his own chair and took a seat.

After the prayer led by Pabio, they all started eating. Lucius raised an eyebrow and smiled towards Esther.

"That's really good, Esther," said Lucius.

Esther laughed, "it should be a compliment to Alison, Lucius. I was just helping him. He's the one who cooks."

"really?" Lucius turned his head and found Ally just stirring her food without bribing.

"mrs ... Ap ... what?" the girl stuttered, a sign that she was not following the conversation at the dinner table.

"Are you the one who cooks?" ask Lucius.

Ally smiled, even though she only had a small smile that did not look loose to Lucius.

"Yes ... I studied a little while I was still working at Madam Gavany's restaurant,"

Then the girl went back down. They're back for dinner until it's over. Lucius and Pabio immediately take Alan to the living room, Alan asked for a cartoon and they immediately watched together.

Esther and Ally cleaned the table and washed the dirty dishes. When she is done, Ally says goodbye to Esther and returns to her room.

Esther stared probing at Ally's tired-looking face.

"Ally's? Is there anything that bothers you?" ask Esther slowly. His old eyes saw something different on the girl's face.

"You're okay, right?" ask again.

Ally tried to smile, "Of course, Esther. I'm fine, I just want to rest faster. So that tomorrow I can do my job."

"You look excited when it comes. Now ... I don't know .. tell me if you're sick, honey. Whatever's bothering you, just tell me" said Esther softly.

The softness in Esther's voice made Ally's heart want to cry, as hard as she could to hold it. Why is he so greedy? a man as handsome as Lucius with such a kind heart must have had a girl he loved, that man had the heart of an angel, so he helped Ally and Alan. He treats Ally and Alan like brothers .. yes, brothers who love each other .. His heart alone is stupid! singing because of a man's kiss and tenderness.

"Alright if you still have a hard time talking about it, honey. Go to your room and rest well" Esther stroked Ally's cheek gently and gave a mother's smile to her.

What is more I complain about, so many good people that God sent me and Alan, who sincerely gave love and helped us selflessly ... I should be thankful and forget this pain in my heart, I should be praying for Lucius' happiness .....

Ally said good night and passed to go up to her room on the second floor. He sat on the side of the soft bed and took a deep breath and began to talk to himself.

You can't cry Alison Adair. Face everything with a smile. You have a place to live, a job and a salary to support you and Alan. All thanks to the man ... Now strengthen your heart, remove all your out-of-place hopes ....

After a while, Ally stepped up and stood in front of a mirror in her room. He put on a smile, first looking stiff and still looking sad. Ally tried again, until her smile returned as usual.

A knock on her bedroom door made Ally step up and unlock. He was surprised to find Lucius standing with a plate of food complete with a drink, spoon and fork on a tray.

"You didn't eat right at dinner, Ally." Lucius held out a tray that the girl immediately greeted.

"I'm grateful that you appreciated my attention by finishing that meal." Lucius stared. Ally looked down at the contents of the tray in both of her hands.

"Hows it? you're gonna eat and spend it, right? or I'll have to wait for you here and see with my own eyes when you bribe,"

Ally forced a smile on her lips. The smile he was practicing in front of the mirror.

"no need. I'll spend it. I promise," he said .

Lucius nodded with satisfaction. Then he nosed the girl's nose before she stopped and passed from there.

Ally pushed the door with her legs closed. Then put the tray on the mattress before going back to the door to lock it.

His heart returned suddenly to the pain, Ally sat on the edge of the bed and started picking up the spoon. Hope the pain in his heart will go away when he eats.

The first bribe went into his mouth and his mind immediately said that this food from Lucius' hands, the man's attention should make him happy, but he even felt pain, his heart was sad ... Ally could not hold it anymore, she sobbed and still forced her jaw to continue chewing, ordering her mouth to finish the food that Lucius had delivered himself. The food tasted a little salty, because the flowing water came into the mouth, some of it dripped onto the plate ....

Please Lucius ... Don't care too much about me, or my heart will crack, like a broken branch. Now the pain is immeasurable ...

Ally held her chest and squeezed. The spoon fell onto the tray. The girl sobbed bitterly, feeling the loss of something she never really had .
