Chapters 22. Deal

Lucius tilted his head to look at the black haired girl who had stepped away from Mike, He tried to peek at the face behind the curtain of black hair that covered him, But his efforts were in vain. The face was completely covered.

"Who's the girl's name?" Lucius looked towards Mike who had a flat face. The man had no interest in answering the question, as if to say whoever the girl had nothing to do with him.

"I asked because she reminds me of someone." Still no answer. Lucius finally gave up and sat down on the sofa without being invited.

"Oh, okay. We're just gonna talk about business. Don't you, Mike?" said it.

A nod and finally that flat expression changed.

"really. You have wanted to work together for a long time, right? Now we're gonna start. You can go into our territory and we can go into your territory."

"Who are you looking for?" Lucius knew that Mike wanted to get into his territory because he wanted to find someone. He did not turn a blind eye to what Jonathan was doing in his territory.

"Jack and Jonathan Langton." Mike looked at Lucius's face which did not seem surprised at all.

"Your format is good too. Quickly knowing they're in my territory."

Mike frowned, the information was actually uncertain. But now it seems to be true. This man has confirmed.

"You're hiding them?" Mike asked with a cold face. Lucius just smiled while shaking his head.

"You know I'm not . for me it's all just business. Will be done if there is an exchange that is equally profitable."

The conversation went pretty fast and smoothly. Lucius never expected luck to be on his side when Jack Langton and Jonathan Langton came to him to buy weaponry and request access to his territory.

Lucius knew Jonathan was using his territory because Derek never wanted to deal with the Sanchez family. Lucius would do anything as long as the business was equally profitable for him.

"What does he offer? So you let him into your territory?" ask Mike

"Jonathan promised I could expand my business network to the Langton area. Even control over the Sky territory that its owner had left." Lucius had long sought a loophole to enter Langton or Sky, not solely for business reasons. There was a private matter he wanted to do if he could achieve access to the Langton family.

"And what does he want in return?" Mike's voice diverted Lucius back to the subject.

"Of course he wants our weaponry, medicine and also some poison." Lucius answered casually.

"What kind of cooperation do you want with us." Mike's words are directly at the heart of their conversation, causing Lucius to straighten his body from the sofa and put his hands together. His eyes looked seriously.

"Use weapons from me, then free my men into your territory. Let your network know that I'm one of the allies."

"If I agree to it, what do I get?"

"Mike .. You have repeatedly refused to cooperate with our family for many years and now you are looking for me, just when Jonathan Langton was in my territory. I don't interrupt a business friend's work, but I don't turn a blind eye to what they're doing ...."

"You know he was there ...." Mike stared intently at Lucius. His molar tightly clenched, had he taken a wrong step with this man? It's dangerous if it turns out he's Jonathan's ally.

"I told you .. Whatever they do is none of my business. We're just in business. He chose my territory because he knew Derek wouldn't touch it. Derek won't build any business relations with the Sanchez family, as his late father always did."

Mike was secretly relieved. It's just business, so this guy's not Jonathan's. After all, Sanchez would have chosen the best chance to make his wish work with the Langton Family, right? Nowisthetime.

"Free us into your territory, Sanchez! Help me find Derek! And any kind of cooperation you want I will fulfill!"

Lucius became very interested in Mike's words just now.

"So it's true that Derek was there .. How do you know he's not dead?" lucius asked in a light tone.

Mike held back his anger. He was eager to throw his fist at the man's face. But their business will not be profitable if he is provoked by anger.

"I want the widest access .. including to the Arthur Sky region. Erland and Arthur never once loosened their guard against us." Lucius again brought up the terms.

"You have no shortage of places to do business. Don't tell me that's the only reason you want to get into Langton territory." Mike said cynically.

"You guessed right. I want wide access because just like you. .. I want to find someone who's been known to hide in Langton and Sky." Lucius said the reason for his wish. He felt it would be easier for him if Langton's men could help.

"Who are you looking for?" Mike squinted at Lucius. If the reason Erland and Arthur blocked the Sanchez family was because of the person Lucius was looking for, then he should be very careful about running this business cooperation.

"Marinna Hastings, a woman with blond hair and blue eyes." Lucius answered and looked at Mike's face, wondering if there were any changes that would indicate that Mike knew the name he mentioned.

Mike breathed a sigh of relief. He does not know that name. For many years in the Langton family there was no blonde woman by the name of Marinna Hastings. If Lucius can help him find Derek, then he will grant that access. He will even help through their network .

"We've been looking for him for years. He ran away a little black haired girl. Beautiful little girl with black eyes."

Somehow Mike felt his heart suddenly pounding. Black haired little girl and eyes that are also black ... Mike remembered the girl who had just cried in his arms. He looked towards Lucius who seemed pensive. The man's eyes glared far away, like he was reminiscing about something.
