Chapters 6. The Gun

Mike breathed heavily. Their investigation gave shocking news. A fact about a person in the past who has been declared dead, but is still alive. Someone Jack Langton always met. Their informants are investigating the veracity of the man's identity.

Jack Langton who killed all the contents of Arthur Sky Mansion seems to have a hidden plan. Someone helped the man. Mike has not yet confirmed the identity of the man. Further investigation is needed. Their men were still moving in search of information and watching the movements of Jack Langton.

"You ate without lifting your head again, Alex. How many days have you not eaten?"

Alex looks shaken. "Jack is crazy! He's messed up everything."

Mike agreed. "Yes ... he caused Derek to have to accept hostility from the girl."

He sipped his coffee.

"And what about the stray cats up there? Is he still clawing?" Alex laughed as he leaned his chin up. Gave Mike a sign that the girl upstairs in the mansion was what he meant.

Mike grunting.

The two laughed, then finished their food and drinks and then went back up to the top floor where the library room was located.

The sight that Mike and Alex found in the library room made them wary. Reggie was standing with the gun that Mike left on the table.

"Damn! I forgot to put it away because I rushed to the kitchen looking for coffee." Mike cursed his own keteledor.

"Whoaaaa ... Missis! Put that thing down immediately!" Alex gave orders to Reggie who was greeted with a flat face.

"Put down that gun, Regina. You can hurt yourself." Mike hissed and slowly walked slowly closer towards the girl.

"You better stop, Mike! Or I'll shoot you." Reggie smiles and points the gun at Mike.

"You can shoot one of us, miss, then one of us will catch you! Soon!" Alex muttered the threat and walked slowly towards Reggie.

Reggie assesses the situation and Amy is not in a good position to fight the Langton family. He begins to believe Derek Langton has nothing to do with the massacre at the mansion of his master's family, Arthur Sky. Everything is Jack Langton's crazy plan of greed, greed, greed. I don't know what a bad name for that guy is.

"You guess how many more bullets are in here, Mike?" Reggie asks and points his gun at Mike. Makes the man frown.

Reggie frowned when he realized Mike was not stopping his steps. Alex has been quit ever since Reggie moved to the back of the table.

Reggie glanced at Alex who was staring flatly at the two of them. Reluctantly he placed the weapon on Mike's palm. Made Alex exhale his breath that had been detained.

Reggie laughs. "You don't think I'm crazy. Shoot you in your own nest and make my life soar into a shooting target by your men who are always out there."

The two men looked at each other. Alex finally smiled at the girl. Thinking Reggie's been more compliant. He was tired and immediately wanted to rest.

"You're a smart girl. Come on Mike.. We're resting." Alex has resigned. Retreat slowly and wave at Mike who waved back without looking at Alex. The man's eyes were fixated on the black-haired girl standing before him in soft blue pajamas.

"Why haven't you slept this late, Regina."

"I'm thinking about Amy."

Mike did not answer. Makes Reggie sure his words are right.
