Chaptre 49. Holiday plans

Amy Langton looked into her husband's eyes, astonished by the idea of a vacation her husband had suddenly expressed. She tiptoed and reached out to hold her husband's forehead intentionally.

"You don't have a fever, then why are you suddenly taking a vacation,"

Derek chuckles at what Amy's doing. He scooped his wife's waist and hugged her in his chest.

"Down me, Derek. Don't keep lifting me up like I'm a doll that's easy to pick up and carry around" Amy nagged, but her hands were on her husband's shoulders. Their heads are aligned now, as Derek lifts up the body of his petite wife.

"Come .. I need to see Enrico. Very important business" Derek asked again.

"Mike's on leave, you should be in the office and handling everything. Eve'll be in trouble if you leave too." Amy still rejects her husband's idea.

Derek took a deep breath, then started walking towards the side door of the mansion while continuing to lift Amy up.

"Derek ... I can walk. Lower Me!" exclaim Amy.

Derek dropped Amy off when they arrived on the outside porch. He takes a seat in the lounge chair and pulls Amy into his lap.

"You are ..." whispered Amy as she patted Derek's chest. But she said when Derek pulled her head back against her husband's chest.

"Tell me first ... What business do you have to go see Enrico? Does Enrico still see you in this country? Her aunt's still here, isn't she?"

"Yes ..we will try to meet even for a cup of coffee when he comes to see his aunt."

"Then what business do you want to see him? You said bring Erland and Arthur. That means Nanny should come too. If Erland came along, he would ask that his Evangeline Aunt come along as well. Who's gonna take care of everything if we're all gonna leave?"

Derek smiled, he stroked his wife's fine hair and sniffed out the sweet smell coming from the soft hair.

"You wash your hair? fragrance ..." said Derek.

"Oh, come on Derek. We're talking about your sudden plan. Not about my hair. Tell me what exactly you want to do at Enrico's place." Amy grumbled as her husband was distracted by the scent of her hair.

"You're impatient, Sweety." Derek again chuckled to see Amy who was starting to feel upset.

"Alright, listen carefully. I want to tell you about something I found a few days ago, about Enrico and the Sanchez family."

Then Derek tells him all the facts he found about Alison Adair or Ally that have made Lucius fall in love and want to propose to him. But according to the story put forward by Mike, the guardian of the girl refused before meeting and seeing the Lucius family in person. He wanted to make sure Ally would be accepted and treated well after she was later taken away from the Rico mansion.

"So you're saying, Enrico is Alison's guardian?" Amy looked up at Derek's face and told him.

"really. That's why Mike went with Sanchez's family there."

"It would be interesting to see Enrico's reaction when he found out the Sanchez family had ties to the Langton clan due to marriage. It'll also be a surprise for Reggie to see that we're already in your friend's mansion."

"That's what I think. That's why I called Enrico. Said I had business there and wanted him to help me. I've asked him to pick us up at the airport."

Amy turned her head, "you've arranged everything!" said Amy.

Derek looked down, looking at his wife's wide-eyed blue eyes. He could not hold himself back and immediately lowered his head. Kissing Amy's lips still resting on her chest. The couple shared a kiss before the voice of their eldest son Erland interrupted the kiss.

"Mom ... Dad ... I can't sleep" the boy said, rubbing his eyes.

Amy and Derek immediately turned their heads, both smilingly looking at Erland who had been standing near them in her sleeping pajamas.

Amy immediately reached out her hand, inviting Erland to sit on her lap. Erland immediately climbed up and arranged a position on her mother's lap. Derek's arms immediately wrapped around Amy and Erland's shoulders. Hugging his wife and son in the arms of his big arm.

"Daddy.." call Erland with eyes that look sleepy.

"When's Uncle Mike and Aunt Reggie coming home?" ask Derek.

"Why? You miss them?"

Erland's head nodded, "Yes. I miss Marie too. Arthur was no fun to play with. He's getting naughty. It likes to bite," Erland sounds like complaining.

Amy realizes Erland is not pushing or hitting her sister to force her finger off. She screamed and endured the pain until Amy came along and then forced Arthur to release his bite on Erland's finger. Arthur does like to bite because his teeth are starting to grow make him always want to swipe his gums on something. Her mother's breasts were not separated from the bite when she was breastfeeding. Amy sometimes held her breath when she felt Erland's small teeth stick in her breasts and made her hiss in pain.

"We'll meet them, honey. A little vacation that will be fun for you. Daddy will take you to pick wine straight from the tree. Fishing in the river and enjoy bathing in the rocky river water." Derek said as he reminisced about the time he spent at the Costra mansion, when he and Enrico spent their college holidays together at the mansion.

"really? So Uncle Mike went on vacation? and not bring me!" Erland sounded annoyed. Amy and Derek smiled. Erland was indeed very close to her Uncle Mike.

"No Honey. Uncle Mike's not on vacation. He went there for some business. We'll go there and take her on vacation."

His father's words seemed to satisfy Erland. He closed his eyes, smiling at the thought of the upcoming holiday.

"Then you can't come ...." Derek, rubbing his chin while looking at Eve.

"Yes ... They want this resolved tomorrow. I need to meet them and discuss the details. Ah, though I would love to go along with you," Eve sighed. His work cannot be delayed.

The sound of knocking interrupted Derek and Eve's conversation. Derek took the time to come to the office before he left later at noon with his family.

"Can I come in?" frank Damario's voice was heard in the room. Derek and Eve immediately greeted him with a big smile.

"Of course, Uncle. Come inside."

Derek greets Frank and invites him to sit on the sofa nearby.

"Ah, seeing you I have an idea, Uncle." Eve suddenly said.

"What idea, Eve?" frank asked the red-haired girl.

"Look, Uncle. You heard that, didn't you? Amy and Derek are gonna go after Mike. There's something Derek wants to do there. Amy asked me to help her watch over two very naughty Langton boys who look like her nosy, ignorant father" Eve said with a wink, deliberately beratai Derek who immediately squeezed a paper and made it into a ball and then throw it on Eve who was immediately scattered.

Frank Damario laughed at Eve's words. "They're very lively and active boys. Amy will have trouble if no one helps her there later even if Nanny comes along. Erland did not obey Nanny, and Amy had to hold Arthur at the same time."

"Well, you understand, Uncle. It was different in the mansion. Many servants will help him. But in the place that Derek will visit later, we don't know the situation" Eve said.

"So what's your plan, Eve?" ask Frank. Not understanding Eve's swirling speech.

"Can Uncle ask Cecilia to replace me? I have a schedule tomorrow that can't be canceled or delayed. That's if Cecilia wants to and doesn't mind" Eve pinta.

Frank Damario frowned, Derek's gonna go after Mike. Which means going to where the Sanchez family is handling Lucius' affairs, it also means Lance will be there. He breathed heavily.

"There's actually something I want to tell you, Derek. I want your opinion, because frankly. I can't see the sadness that's in Cecilia's eyes ..."

Frank Damario spoke in a hoarse voice. He remembered the look on the face of his favorite daughter if the girl was alone. The look of a face that will change smiles and is carefree if he or Marlene reprimands and invites him to talk. Frank knew his daughter was just being carefree so his parents wouldn't worry. But Frank knows, his beautiful daughter who is cheerful, nimble and easily smiling saves the sadness of his love that claps one hand, and, also because of the very longing for men who may not even think about it at all.

Derek straightened his body, looking at Frank Damario who looked very sad. The old man looked depressed.

"Tell me, Uncle ... What's bothering you and Cecilia? I'll finish it for you ...."
