Chapters 3. Dance

Lucius frowned when he came to Cecilia. The girl also looked not too happy.

"You know, it's starting to make me sultry" Lucius said with a frown.

"My feelings are the same, it feels like I'm going to kick everyone" Cecilia said.

"I'm sorry .. somehow everything went like this" Lucius said.

"Don't apologize Lucius, we were just herded by them, and we love them too much to go straight to the fight,"

"You are absolutely right .. but this is getting outrageous" Lucius said.

"Yes .. frankly I like you as Lucius' friend. But our family seems to be hoping for more. I just want to go home ..." Cecilia stared around, looking for her father's figure at the dinner hosted by Derek at the star-rated hotel that was able to accommodate the entire family members of the Langton clan.

"Who are you going home with?" ask Lucius.

Cecilia shook her head, "I'll call my driver," Cecilia was just about to open her phone when Uncle Noel's voice came to her ear.

"You're here apparently, Cecil. You're a young man too. We're looking for you everywhere" he smiled. Cecilia put on a polite smile and moved to kiss the cheek of the old man who was like a father to her.

"What's Uncle Noel? Why lookout for me?"

"I haven't seen you go down to the dance floor ... Lucius, ask Cecil to dance, my little girl loves to dance" Uncle Noel told Lucius, who had a friendly and smiling face. Lucius immediately nodded politely.

"Of course, Uncle Noel ... Come on Cecilia, come here." Lucius extended a hand. Cecilia looked at him with a questioning look. Then the blink of Lucius' eyes made Cecil finally obey, he reached out to welcome Lucius' hand.

"Then let's just go through this, Cecil. Smile and please everyone. As we search for what we really want, or wait for someone we've been looking for all this time" Lucius whispered his words to Cecilia.

Cecilia turned her head after the whisper ended, the girl frowned.

Cecil nodded, Then his hand was suddenly pulled by Lucius.

"We talk while dancing" Lucius whispered again.

Cecilia complied and placed her hand on Lucius' shoulder, Lucius hugged Cecil's waist with one hand and one hand clasped the girl's hand. They started to follow the music and dance.

"So, do you think we should just follow and perform?" ask Cecil in a soft voice.

Lucius nodded, "Right, so everyone will stop undermining us."

"But that means giving them hope .. Although I'm also happy if they stop being matchmakers, it doesn't mean I'm happy to make them disappointed on purpose."

Cecilia nodded her head repeatedly.

"Your plan seems to work."

"Of course .. So you agreed to pretend?"

"Yes, let's do it."

Lucius and Cecilia shared a smile as they reached an agreement.

In the distance, several pairs of eyes stared at the dancing couple.

"Wow ... Cecilia and Lucius ...." Eve looked up at the dance floor, Uncle Damario and Uncle Eloy did not waste time, was the provocation at that time the cause of this progress?

Amy frowned, trying to peek at Lucius' face spinning on the dance floor. Want to know how the man's expression when with Cecilia.

Eve turned her head towards Alex whose face was the same as before, expressionless. Then suddenly Eve held onto Alex's shoulder and tiptoed to kiss the man's lips at a glance. Afterwards Eve winks at Amy and Derek who laugh amusedly.

"Quite I know what this guy could be as romantic as if he were with me, don't you think, Alex?"

This time Amy and Derek's laughter grew louder, as Alex was unable to maintain his expressionless face. A hint of reddish hue flashed across the man's face, Alex looking embarrassed.

"Ivy ..." Alex's hiss was met with a crisp laugh by Evangeline who instead went back on her tiptoes to kiss the man's cheek.

In another corner, Reggie rested his head on Mike's shoulder. Watching her dancing sister spinning on the dance floor.

"I love to see them ..." sighed Reggie as he tightened his hand grip on Mike's arm.

"Hmmm," Mike just nodded. From the beginning of the show, with his observant eyes, Mike has noticed the behavior of Lucius and Cecilia, then without realizing it, he also pays attention to Lance's behavior.

In Mike's eyes, Cecilia and Lucius were kind and familiar like friends, although to some who looked at them at the moment, the couple were friendly by dancing and whispering to each other, their judgment was influenced by the desire to see the couple become lovers.

But for Mike's eyes, the interaction was just familiarity like a friend. What made him curious was even a strange flash in Cecilia's eyes when he met Lance's eyes. "What are you thinking?" reggie asked, looking up at the face of her husband who was just silently looking at the hall.

"What happened to Lucius?"

"Of course .I'm just surprised, he just complied with my father's desire to start approaching Cecilia,"

"Maybe because he really likes Cecil?"

"We all love Cecil, honey. But does Lucius seriously want to make an approach?"

Reggie just kept quiet, he looked back at the dancing couple.
