Chapters 21. Tears

Reggie got out of Alex's car quickly. He had been holding back his tears earlier. Alex is assigned to pick him up and without knowing that he has been manipulated by Reggie, Alex recounts all the events of Amy's rescue that ended up being a trap for Derek.

Reggie said enough that Mike had told him about the incident, but not in detail. The incident he was referring to was a plan to make it into bait. But Alex thinks the incident Reggie was referring to was Amy's rescue attempt.

Reggie asked her to tell him the full plan. During Alex's journey to tell her how they followed to the coordinates that marked Amy's whereabouts, Reggie listened with a pounding heart, trying to save his turmoil in front of Alex who thought he already knew about Amy who had been caught by the enemy and now Derek Langton who tried to save him instead entered a trap and was taken with Amy to a place that was not yet known unknown frequency.

Reggie wiped the tears with his arm. He breaks down the door and sees Mike putting a cell phone on Derek's desk.

Mike is coordinating with his men in the underground network, an organization that is launching all the jobs and meeting all their needs. They work at a speed and alertness that is trained to kill even without causing trace that can be traced. But their network has trouble finding traces of where Derek and Amy were taken, but a small piece of information that Mike has to make sure for himself makes him have to contact someone who has always been denied cooperation since the past by Derek's father, Erland Langton.

Sanchez Family. Mike was waiting for the family leader to arrive at the mansion when the door was pushed strong and Reggie walked in with an angry face.

Reggie runs and nudges his fist into Mike's jaw, but Mike nimbly dodges. The girl did not stop immediately, she caught Mike's neck and strangled him tightly. Mike, who felt Reggie's grip begin to make it hard to breathe, was forced to hold both arms firmly. He squeezed as hard as he could, causing Reggie to feel an excruciating pain in his arm that Mike wanted to crush.

Mike had no mercy until Reggie took off his grip. He twisted Reggie's arm behind his body when he felt the grip on his neck begin to loosen.

"I told you not to mess with my life, Regina!" Mike snapped loudly. He was very angry and did not want to serve the girl's anger. There's a lot of work to do to save Derek and Amy.

"You lied to me!" Reggie yelling.

"All these plans fall apart because your non-union ran away and got himself caught! He set his own plan!"

"Don't blame him! You stupid men who can't afford to protect her!"

Mike heard Reggie's screams and felt very furious.

"Don't forget Derek gave himself up so that Nonamu isn't held alone there! Don't go berserk and act unreasonable Regina! I have a lot to do to save them both!"

Mike turned Regina's body upside down, he didn't expect to see those black eyes glazed over with tears. Reggie immediately lowered his head so Mike wouldn't see his face.

"You ...." Mike was at a loss for words.

Reggie felt really claustrophobic. He feels so useless. Feeling always saved by the Sky family without being able to do the same. Suddenly his body was pulled towards Mike's chest, the man hugged him tightly.

"We're going to save them. Don't cry .. they'll be right back." Mike said softly. Made Reggie's defense go broke and he cried sobbing.

"Please promise me .. He's my family now." The words filled with pain made Mike close his eyes. Because that's how he feels about Derek. He let Reggie cry on his chest, then leaned his cheek on the top of the girl's head, hoping that his own heart could slightly let go of the weight that felt heavy pressing on his chest.

"Are we interrupting, Mike?" ask the man.

Mike nodded quickly. "No. I've been waiting for you, Sanchez."

Mike felt a sense of tension instantly creeping through Reggie's body as soon as his words were finished.

"Ah .. call me Lucius" he said, smiling with a slanted smile, which made his face more cynical.

Mike sighed at Reggie's body, looking at the girl's pale face and the black hair that had been severed covered the sides of her face.

"Go with Alex." The order got a quick nod from Reggie's head.

Reggie turned around and walked while looking down, so that his face was covered by a curtain of his long black hair.

Lucius Sanchez tilted his head, frowning at Reggie while thinking. He tried to peek at Reggie's face through the strands of black hair that covered him.

Reggie kept going until he finally walked out of the room followed by Alex. He breathed a sigh of relief while holding on to the wall outside Mike's room to catch his breath. His pale face made Alex frown.

"What's wrong? You why?" ask Alex to worry. The girl looked like she was about to faint in Alex's eyes

Reggie shook his head quickly. "No. It's okay, Alex. I just need a break."

Without waiting for Alex to answer, Reggie ran to his room in the mansion. He locked the door tightly, climbed into the bed and went under the blanket. He shivered under the thick blanket that covered him. Cowering with tears rushing down the slope of his cheek.

"Mommy ... What should I do now?" A thick tinge of fear colored the moans amidst the silence of Regina's room.
