Chapters 8. Remember the promise

Reggie tickled his daughter's stomach with his nose. The tiny baby looked at her and looked very adorable with gray eyes that were very similar to her husband. Mike's clear, gray eyes.

"You're ready to meet Uncle Lucius, aren't you?" Reggie asked his daughter.

"Your uncle will be gone for a few days. So we won't see him in the next few days. We'll visit him and give him good-bye and also tell him to come back soon. He will miss you so much ... Little Marie" said Reggie, holding her daughter and sitting in the hall waiting for Mike to come down from the second floor.

When Mike arrives at Reggie and Marie's waiting place, the two men's hands extend out to retrieve his daughter from Reggie's sling.

"You cut your hair?" ask Mike.

Mike stared at the black hair for a long time.

"You're getting prettier" she said. Mike chuckles when he sees Reggie blushing after hearing the compliment.

"After all this time we've been together, you've still got a little bit of a flutter" said Mike, as he once again kissed Reggie's lips.

"Speaking about getting a haircut, I don't know when your brother will carry out his promise that time."

"Promise? what promise Mike?" ask Reggie for a surprise. Because Lucius never promised Reggie anything.

"You didn't realize it yet, Honey, when you gave birth to Marie and were still in a coma, Lucius whispered to tell you to wake up. He promised he'd cut his hair like you always wanted."

Reggie was surprised, not expecting Lucius to make such a promise. He knew his brother had his own fear of sharp objects hair cutters aka scissors.

"He really said it?" ask Reggie with sparkling eyes.

"Yes .. I heard it, why? want to charge it now?" mike asked with a laugh.

"You should have said it a long time ago, Mike. So I can force him. Now that he's gone for a few days, I won't be able to terrorize him,"

Mike chuckles. "Let's go, you can always force it whenever you want" Mike said.

"Yes ... Dad's coming with us when we get home. He wouldn't stay there alone when Lucius left."

"Yes .. I've prepared the car. I saw you divide your time and yourself very fairly. 6 days in the Eliazar mansion and 3 days in the Sanchez mansion."

Reggie giggled at her husband's words.

"That's not fair, Mike. I only stayed 3 days at Sanchez's mansion and doubled it at our mansion."

"That's fair, Regina .. 3 days for Lucius when he's at the Sanchez mansion. 3 days for you and 3 more for Marie while at the Eliazar mansion. It's fair .. So, if Lucius wants you to stay longer at Sanchez's mansion, he really should consider getting married, so he'll have a child soon, so that father's time will be divided also for his grandson in the Sanchez mansion."

"Who knows, maybe it will happen in the near future. Brother's getting engaged any minute now isn't he,"

Reggie's excitement about the news of Lucius' engagement to Cecilia is not contagious to Mike at all. I don't know why Mike felt that the two people were not suitable to be lovers. Their interactions are like friends and best friends in Mike's eyes.

"Come .. we leave. Nick was waiting in the car" Mike sighed his wife with one hand, while the other held his little daughter in just one big arm.

"Who told you that?" asked Lucius with a flat face. Saving his surprise because Reggie alludes to his promise to cut hair if Regina wants to wake up when his sister coma in the hospital.

"Don't try to dodge. Mike heard you back then, brother."

Lucius took a deep breath and looked at Mike who pretended not to know what the two sisters were talking about.

Lucius poked his mouth towards his sister.

Regina smiled sweetly and slightly tilted her head, "Oh, come on, sister.do you have the heart to disappoint your sister.I will start crying if you avoid fulfilling your promise," said Reggie as sweet as possible.

"You're no longer fit to act plain and sweet-ass, Gina. Your husband may be deceived and believe, but I don't ... "

"I'll pay for it after I get home from the estate, on condition that you accompany me on my execution,"

Regina nodded, "Yes .. alright," he said cheerfully.

"You're acting like you're taking the death penalty .. overkill, '" mocked Mike.

Mike chuckled, "Just do Lucius, what a loss. Count you tested .. Your fear of that thing is gone or not."

Lucius just sneered at Mike and looked back at Regina.

"Dad will stay at your place as long as I'm not around, I'll be gone for a few days" he said.

"You've met Cecilia, haven't you?" ask Reggie.

"Little? why do I have to see him?" asked Lucius in wonder.

"He's your future fiancee, brother! you should've told me you were going to work and wouldn't be in town for quite some time."

"Cecil knew I was leaving. He felt we needed to be far apart first .. so I could examine my feelings and not follow the wishes of his father and father to get engaged."

Regina turned her head to hear her brother's words. Surprised that Cecil said that.

"Did Cecil really say it?" he half-believed.

"It seems that I'm not Cecilia's dream man, that girl already has someone else she likes" Lucius replied casually.

"That's a pity for you .." Mike tapped on his brother-in-law.

"But ... why that time, you ..." Reggie's speech stopped.

"Of course I like Cecilia, Gina. A happy, kind and beautiful girl. But there is no tender feeling of a lover for her, we are only familiar as friends. I will let him seek and obtain his true love, just as he supported me to seek my own love," Lucius chuckled as he recalled how adamant Cecilia was that she would refuse their engagement.

"There will be someone for you Lucius .. You just haven't met him yet" Mike said in a confident tone. Then he realized he sounded like he was comforting his brother-in-law.

"Ah, are you comforting my sister-in-law? did I not hear wrong? " lucius's insinuation to his sister's husband.

Mike snorted loudly, greeted by loud laughter from the two brothers.

"Tomorrow I'll go ... Lance will take care of everything here" Lucius told Regina.

"Call me when you get there" Reggie said.

"Sure, Gina ... I'll do it ...."
