Chaptre 79. Broken heart's

Amy was pushed out of the maternity room and will be moved to the nursery. Reggie stops the nurse for a moment and hugs and kisses Amy.

"Congratulations, Amy darling. You're gonna be a great mom."

Amy nodded and waved her hand as the nurse pushed her back towards the treatment room.

Lucius, who had returned, soon hid himself in disarray, until the nurse carrying Amy and Derek, who followed him, disappeared down the hall, and he came to Reggie, who was standing there with Eve.

The eyes of both of them looked at Lucius. Reggie immediately ran over to greet her brother with an anxious look.

"Oh my God .. Why are you? Who hit you!?" Lucius frowned when Reggie touched the corner of his lips.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Does it hurt?"

Then Lucius deliberately pulled Reggie's waist down firmly. It made his sister grimace in pain.

"Tell me where are the bruises on your body!? Come with me now!" Lucius snapped as he gently sighed Reggie, opposite to his loud tone.

Eve chuckled happily.

"I hope the doctor sewed your lips together without being drugged!" sahut Eve cruel.

Lucius waved his hand as he strode over his sister's shoulder.

"I hope he's also stitched up without a dope. I think the wound will leave a mark!" Lucius shouted, making Eve's face finally turn anxious.

Mike stitched? He injured? Inner Eve wondered.

Eve did not have to wait long. Mike came in with a torn temple and blood running down his cheek. The man's eyes began to look swollen.

"Mike!" Reggie is stunned and is about to come to Mike, but Lucius holds him back and immediately pulls him towards the elevator.

"Oh, no, no .. no Regina! You're coming with me! I've got to get you to Doctor Lawrence!" Lucius was almost going to hold Regina who was still insistent on coming to Mike. Fortunately, the elevator door opened and Lucius dragged his brother in.

"God ... turns out he's strong too." Eve smiled obliquely. Mike was silent and did not respond.

"It's a shame I didn't record this rare moment. We can definitely watch it over and over again" Eve said.

"Stop babbling Evangeline! I need to see Doctor Barkley! Get me to him now!" suhut Mike cold. Making Eve chuckle then immediately hold Mike's hand leave the hospital hallway.

Two days after that Lucius was forced to deliver Regina to the Langton Mansion . His sister was endlessly whining at him. Said I wanted to see Amy's baby. He hadn't seen her in the hospital. With a heavy heart Lucius fulfilled that wish. It just so happened that Amy invited Reggie to come over for dinner.

Their father was getting better, his condition was recovering quickly. It's just that his father's talk is pessimistic and unclear. But the old man looked very happy with the presence of his two children.

Lucius leaves Lance to look after his father and follows Amy in a knee-length black dress. His sister looked excited like a teenager in her mid-twenties.

They came to Langton Mansion and were greeted by Derek.

"Sorry Amy didn't welcome you. He's putting Erland to bed."

Reggie raised his eyebrows hearing the name of the baby Derek mentioned.

"May I meet him there?" ask Reggie.

"of course. Go," Derek said.

After Reggie climbs the stairs and is lost on the second floor, Derek returns to face Lucius and smiles happily at the corner of Lucius' sewn lips and the remaining bruises on his jaw.

"Does it hurt?" tanyanya ticklish.

"No need to mince words, Langton!" Lucius grumbling.

Derek chuckled and let his guest in. They headed to the lounge next to the dining room. Eve and Alex were sitting there laughing at Mike.

"Don't be arrogant, Lucius, or I'll hit you again until your lips break!"

The laughter in the room from those who heard Lucius and Mike arguing, and Amy who came with Reggie stopped everything. They move into the dining room and start dinner in a thick family atmosphere.

After dinner, the music accompanies the relaxed atmosphere in the large room where the Langton family entertains guests. Alex is seen dancing with Eve, Amy, Derek, and Lucius appear to be chatting the three, but Reggie does not see Mike.

Reggie walked towards the wide door to the terrace and down the steps. He wanted to sit in the garden chair. But he abandoned his intentions after seeing Mike sitting there looking up at the sky. Reggie turned.

"Why go?" Mike's words made Reggie stop.

"You know what?"

"Your steps still make a sound ...."

Reggie turned around and sat down next to Mike.

"Why are you alone here?"

"Just need to think."

"Is your temple still sick?"

"No. Your shoulder? What about bruises on your hands?" Mike asked back.

"Already treated. It doesn't hurt anymore."

Then they both fell silent. Reggie thought there was more he could talk to Mike to melt the awkward atmosphere.

"You know the little guy was named Erland ...." Start Reggie.

Mike smiled while looking.

"Yes. The Erland Sky Langton. I call him My Knight ." The pride in Mike's voice made Reggie smile back.

"Not interested in having your own knights, Mike? The kids will call you Dad. Not his Uncle ...."

Reggie's words made Mike frown at him. Reggie swore in his heart why he dared to ask that question.

"Ummmm .. I didn't mean anything."

Mike looked at Reggie with a flat face. Reggie couldn't guess what was on his mind.

"It doesn't suit me.. Children mean there is a mother, there is a mother means to marry. Marriage means there is a bond. I am a man who cannot be bound. There's nothing I can give that woman."

That straightforward remark left Reggie speech speech speech speechless. His heart once again felt pain and disappointment. He is not expressing his love for Mike, but as if Mike has put a dividing line so that no one gets close. Reggie gulped, arranged his expression and tried to smile.

"Well .. Thank goodness you've got a family that loves you as much as you love it."

Mike glanced at the wide open door of the mansion, music and laughter all the way to their place.

"Yes .. You're right."

Reggie was no longer able to sit there and hold his heart as if nothing had happened. He stood up and stood up.

"I need to go to the toilet. I stay yes ...." Then he stepped up leaving Mike narrowed to look at his back.

"Where are you going?" Amy stops Reggie passing through their couch. Reggie stopped and put on a smile.

"I want to go to the toilet. My stomach hurts a little. " Then Reggie walked back and waved.

After being locked inside the toilet, Reggie turned on the faucet so that the sound of water could be heard pouring down. He started crying. His heart felt very disappointed. Not to mention Mike re-affirms the line to her, her heart broken. For the second time Reggie feels himself rejected by Mike.
