Chapters 20. Be stanzas

Reggie has no idea what happened so Mike and Derek change their minds. His idea of luring Jack out by being a decoy is now taken seriously. He was even invited to discuss the details of the plan.

"A small tracker will be implanted in your inner left arm. We'll anesthetize your arm first before putting that little thing in." Derek gave an explanation to Regina who was concentrating on listening to him .

"Then how can I be seen by Jack's men. I have to get out of here and show myself, right?"

Derek looked at Mike who was just quiet and listening.

"Sure .. You'll come out to be seen. Mike's going with you."

"What's!? Why should he come with me. They won't be seen if I'm being watched. Let me go alone, then they'll catch me and you'll know where they're taking me." Reggie disagrees with Derek. Mike can't watch her anymore. He felt very uncomfortable being around the man. His heart was pounding unbecoming.

"You're just following our rules, Regina. Plan goes if you comply!" Mike's stern remarks made Reggie frown.

"Well .. I agree. But make sure Amy doesn't know about this plan, or she'll be very worried."

Mike looked at Derek. The girl had no idea that the tracker had actually been implanted in Amy's arm. They haven't had time to get it out, because Amy will ask why the plan didn't go ahead and the tracker was removed.

In his mounting anger, Derek agrees to Reggie's plan to bait Jack out of hiding. But it's not Reggie who will be the bait, but Amy Sky. Derek was so angry at thinking the girl wanted to run away from him.

But some time later, Mike receives a call in the middle of the night blind. Derek called her and said plans changed. He wants to get back to the original plan if Mike agrees, which is to get Reggie to go through with it, not Amy. Mike had no idea what caused Derek to change his mind all of a sudden. Maybe the man's possessiveness in Amy made him stop working on the plan.

"I'll make sure! Don'worry. Just make sure you're ready." Derek reassured Reggie and looked back at Mike who was nodding towards him.

"Remember, Regina. Follow my rules!" Mike nailed the girl's eyes. Seriously warned him, his heart was very hesitant to remember how Reggie always resisted and rebelled.

Reggie just shut up. He doesn't dare to protest much, fearing Derek and Mike change their minds and change their plans.

"Can't ask, Regina. The plan goes if the rules you follow ...." Mike warned me again.

"Yes! I gotcha! I'll obey!" reggie said firmly.

"To ease this plan, we're gonna keep you away from Amy for a while. Just tell him you're following Mike who's gonna see and check out the Sky Mansion where you used to live." Derek spoke again.

Reggie nodded, He didn't want to make his lady worry.

"And you're coming to my apartment. We're gonna put the tracker there. Amy can't know anything at all."

Back Reggie nodded. Mike looked at Reggie who kept nodding without refuting.

Why do I feel strange, if he continues to obey and not defy. Mike batted himself in and immediately looked at him with a pair of black eyes that suddenly nailed his eyes.

"So when are we going to your apartment?"

"When did you realize he was gone?" Mike looked at the monitor. The red dot that marks Amy's whereabouts is still moving.

"An hour after he went up to his room. I came to see, because earlier he complained of a headache ... but ...." Derek stopped talking and clenched his teeth.

The words of their crew working on monitoring the point where Amy was making the two quietly pay attention.

"They stopped, Mr. .. This is their coordinates."

Derek squinted his eyes at Mike who immediately nodded.

"Everything is ready in their position!"

"Do as carefully as possible, Mike .. let's go!" The crane draped the suit to the shoulder covering the weapon backpack wrapped around his shoulder. They walked towards their waiting vehicles with troops and full armaments.

Mike was grateful that Reggie was in his apartment. The girl is waiting to be fitted with a tracker. Mike is forced to lie to her when he gets word from Derek that Amy has gone alone to risk feeding her to catch Jack. Mike tells Reggie that he has to wait in the apartment while Mike will get everything ready, then leaves the girl with the tight guard of his men around the apartment. He locked Reggie back in there without the girl even realizing it.

"What does the girl think, going alone fishes danger ...." Mike tries to provoke a conversation with Derek who looks tense.

"I think he already knows we're changing plans."

"How come? Reggie wouldn't tell him that."

"I think he heard what I said when he called you and said about the change of plans ...." Derek looked cringing.

Mike's frowns, Derek calls him in the middle of the night telling him about a change in plans to replace Amy with Reggie. How could the girl hear him, the girl was with Derek back then.

"Isn't it very late? You woke me up in the middle of the night blind!" mike said, but there was no rebuttal.

"How could he hear it? Unless he was around you at the time!" Mike was raving again.

"But what did the girl do in the middle of the night with you? Where were you then?"

Mike is deliberately acting to dilute the tense atmosphere that surrounds them. Derek suddenly turned his head and exasperatedly hissed, "Mike .. You better shut up! You're such a chatty woman! There's nothing I need to explain to you!" Derek seemed embarrassed that night because he was forcing Amy to be with him.

"Whoa ... Easy ... I just asked!" Mike raised both his hands as if giving up. An amused smile was painted on his lips. However the cold gray eyes directed at Derek looked determined.

"Jack will pay with his life if anything happens to that girl!" Mike sizzled, his voice sounded very cold.

Derek nodded strongly, hoping everything went smoothly. They must quickly rescue her beautiful elf who has been caught by Jack's men.
