Chapters 98. Instincts

Mike opens the car door and waits for Regina who is still talking to Leigh on the mansion's terrace. They're going back to see Lucette's doctor. Regina's pregnancy has begun to appear, his wife is already wearing loose clothes that he bought while going shopping with Amy who is also pregnant with her second child.

Regina came up with a plastic packaging box.

"What is Gina?"

"This is my fruit pudding and chef's. Amy likes pudding. Can we stop by Langton's mansion after Lucette's?"

"certain Honey....Come on..." Mike reached out his hand to take the place containing the pudding in Reggie's hand. Then put it in the back of the car. He closed the door after Regina entered and waved at Leigh who also waved back at her Master with a smile. Mike then got behind the wheel.

Half-way through Mike realizes a black car is a bit far from their car as it follows. Mike frowned, he swallowed and tried to get the car past them. But the black car seemed to go in for a swallow and then went into hiding in another car in the lane.

Maybe my feelings......

Mike has never ignored his instincts. He kept driving quietly and peeking through the rearview mirror. Record all the signs that he can make a clue.

They arrive at the hospital where Regina has made an appointment with Lucette's doctor.

A month ago when Regina's vitamins ran out, Mike met Lucette's friendly doctor and confirmed that Regina's pregnancy was healthy. But Mike still refused when Reggie asked to move again to their room upstairs.

They were greeted by Lucette who greeted them alternately with a big smile.

"So.....Is Gina being nice by taking Mike's vitamins?" Lucette raised her eyebrows and looked at Mike with amused eyes. The couple had an argument about what Regina could and could not do during her pregnancy during a visit last month. Lucette caught the husband's concerns and suggested that the wife comply for the baby's safety and her husband's peace of mind.

Mike praised Lucette's suggestion and they agreed to call each other by name after their meeting.

"Thanks to your suggestion at the meeting Lucy used to be. He complied and was kind." Mike answered Lucette and chuckled to see his sullen wife looking at them.

"You're outrageous.....I'm taking my vitamins Lucy. I love my baby...."

Lucette shut her mouth and chuckled amusedly." I love seeing couples like you. Come here.we'll see the little baby again. "

Mike stared at the astonishment of his little baby who was being examined by Lucette.

"Look......Ehem....Do you want to know her gender now?" Lucette asked as she continued to move the USG tool.

Mike and Reggie looked at. A wide smile garnished Mike's expectant face.

"Can you see Lucy now?"

"Yes Mike. It's been 22 weeks....."

"For me a man or a woman is just like Lucy....I wish he was healthy."

"Sure Mike.....So far everything's been great."

"If he's a boy, he'll be Erland's playmate and his sister-to-be. If a woman is going to be the little sister she really wants...." Mike babbling. Lucette and Regina looked at each other and smiled.

"Ehem......So then.....Is she a girl or a boy?" Ask Mike.

Lucette and Regina laughed together. Mike was very curious.

"She's Mike's girl......A baby girl." Lucette smiled and finished her examination a moment later.

Mike helps Reggie get out of bed and sit back at Lucette's check table.

"I congratulate you....She's indisposed. Take care of your condition Regina..."

"Thank you Lucy. I hope it will be until he's born...."

Lucette nodded and welcomed their helping hand as the couple bade her farewell.

Mike escorts Regina to Langton's mansion and realizes the black car is still following even now with a longer distance.

He took down Regina who was greeted by Amy in front of the mansion. The two pregnant women rush in, while Mike picks up the pudding box and takes it in. He looked around as he reached the door frame of the mansion. The guard of Langton mansion was still as strict as it was. Regina will be safe here.

"Honey.....There's something I need to do. Stay here until I get you back. Don't go anywhere. I'll pick you up."

Reggie frowned at the worried tone in her husband's voice, thinking it was Mike's protective feeling because she was pregnant that made Mike that way.

"of course.....I'll wait here until you pick me up. " Reggie stood up and kissed her husband who was hugging and devouring her lips before letting go and winking towards Amy who was laughing looking at them.

He returned to the car and drove to the Lucius Office building. His anxiety should not be left alone.

Mike peeked in the rearview mirror during the trip and realized the car was no longer following him. So even if his instincts were correct that the black car was stalking them, it was because it was the Regina that the person was following. Mike clenched his hand in the drive.Can't wait to get to his brother-in-law's place immediately.

Upon seeing Mike enter the lobby, the officer behind the counter immediately called upstairs telling the female secretary there that Mike had come to visit.

Mike entered the elevator and went upstairs. He was greeted by Lance who immediately opened the door to Lucius' room. The man raised his eyebrows looking at the incoming mike with a very serious and slightly tense face.

Lucius got up from behind his chair and immediately sat down on the sofa. Mike follows and Lance who is just about to get out of the room is stopped by Mike.

"Stay here Lance. I want to talk about something and you need to hear it too."

Lance stared at his Master who immediately nodded and told Lance to sit down with them.

"Sit Lance. I think Mike wants to convey something important."

"I feel like Regina was being followed, Lucius....." Mike starts. Lucius and Lance looked at each other.

"You mean?"

"A black car in the distance. It followed from the Eliazar mansion to the hospital where Dr. Lucette was, and then to the Langton mansion. I dropped Regina down there. The car didn't follow me, just followed until Regina was dropped off at the langton mansion.

Lucius looked back at Lance. Make Mike frown his forehead.

"What's wrong?" Ask wonder.

"Mr Lucius also felt the same way a few months ago while accompanying Mrs Gina Tuan. But we dare not assume anything. Then ever since then Mr. Lucius has always told me to follow Mrs.'s car if she escorts Mr. Eloy the therapy. I realized there was indeed someone following the mistress' car from a distance. "

"Right now take care of your mansion and wherever Regina goes."

"Nothing happened......So far I've had Lance and a couple of guys look after Regina if she comes out to pick me up. It is safe at the Eliazar or Langton mansion. So......I don't know, we don't know what that guy wants."

Mike took a deep breath. "I'll have Alex prepare a guard for her."

"That's better. Do you need my men?"
