Chapters 24. Rescue

Mike and Alex have been preparing with a striped outfit and full guns. Troops who have been prepared to execute Derek and Amy's rescue plan are awaiting their orders. Alex prepared a large army, he did not want to take risks.

"Where did you keep that stray cat?" Alex asked while checking the gun, then slipped it behind his chest. He picked up the next weapon and re-examined it before slipping it back into his body.

Mike who was doing the same thing turned his head briefly towards Alex.

"He's locked in my apartment. I almost drugged him back." A pair of black gloves are plucked by Mike from a shelf full of gear and weapons in the basement of Langton's main mansion. He immediately put it on.

"He's raging again?" ask Alex with a laugh.

"Yes." Yeah."

"You're sure he won't run away?"

"I doubled the guard in my apartment. He's just free to roam inside, can't get out of there." Mike said his words with confidence. Reggie wouldn't get out unless he jumped from the top floor where his apartment was and that would be suicide.

Alex wettest. "The girl is very troublesome. I think it's the same with Evangeline .. You know, she called me asking about Derek."

Mike stopped his activity hearing Alex's words. He glared at the man.

"Don't tell me you leaked this to her ...."

Alex's headband made Mike feel relieved. Evangeline, whom they used to call Eve, a friend who was like a little sister to Derek, will be home soon if she hears about Derek being held hostage. Mike doesn't want another fuss to come to him before Derek's safe home.

"What does Ivy have to do with Derek, Mike? Are they lovers?" Alex asked in passing. He was busy with one of the weapons he wanted to carry.

"What?" Mike frowned in surprise, as if he did not understand Alex's question.

"You heard me ... Ivy and Derek. They always look friendly. Are they lovers?" Alex repeated the question. I don't know why he'd rather call Evangeline with Ivy.

"Pffttttttttt .. hahahahhah" Mike's laughter exploded, It felt very funny to hear Alex's question. It's like Alex just uttered a ridiculous joke.

Alex looked at him as if he was crazy. The man waited until Mike's laughter subsided.

"Derek and Eve will never be lovers, Alex! Derek does love Eve, but as a little sister. She will not be able to see Eve as a lover because she will remember how she changed and put on Eve's diaper since she was a child!" Mike's laughter echoed again, "Eve did too. To the girl Derek is her brother, her family is the only." Mike explained as he looked pityfully at Alex who had been fooled by Eve. Mike believes Eve deliberately displays intimacy with Derek to make Alex misunderstand.

"Hey Man, I think he likes you." Mike smiled amusedly looking at Alex who was pretending to be busy.

"Who?" alex pretended not to know.

"The Cinderella girl next door," said Mike amused. He knew Alex was pretending.

Alex stopped his activities. Looking at Mike.

"Don't tease me, Mike."

Mike slicked both his shoulders. Back to laughing.

"You pretend you don't know who I mean. Evangeline looks different when she's with you" Mike said.

"Yeah .. Don't expect me to believe that! Beautiful and sexy women seem to be surrounded by many men everywhere. You read business magazines? The woman was considered a reliable businessman because of her breakthrough to open a branch of Langton company in Asia. He was found coming with different men at every party among the business world elite."

"I think you're right. Which man is resistant to our sensual Eve. She is beautiful and really sexy. Look very brave with amazing red hair!"

The sound of gunfire in the shooting practice zone that was far away at the end of the room sounded blaring. Alex fires his gun at a firing target from where he is standing.

"I think my hands are still really good at using this."

Alex's words were met with laughter from Mike looking at him while shaking his head.

The perimeter of the area had been marked by their troops. The sky is blue and bright. The wind blew slowly as if nature also supported the rescue efforts of Alex and Mike troops.

Behind a large rock crevice Mike peered towards the white two-story house at the top of the hill. Their eyes scanned the front of the house.

Their forces have surrounded the site. Mike found the place very easily. He knew Lucius Sanchez was contributing to their investigation. Even though the man did it without notice. In quick time Mike and Alex can move on to find Derek.

"You see that? They look fine even if they're a bit messy." Alex whispered to Mike next to him. Mike did not speak. His eyes devoured Derek's figure through the binoculars he was carrying, scanning the man's body, seeing if Derek was injured.

Mike breathed a sigh of relief. Alex smiled next to him.

"Thanks Sanchez .. We found him, didn't we, Mike?" Alex whispered back.

"Yes. I admit it's very meritorious. I hope Derek meets the deal I made with him" Mike said slowly.

"Sure, Mike. Derek knows you did it for his life." Alex scanned the front page of the house again.

Amy Sky was seen getting into a car, then leaving the white house. Two men peering through their binoculars grinned broadly, knowing that somehow, Derek had driven Amy away from the location.

"Derek has made the girl leave the house which will soon be a field of battle." Alex sizzles who is greeted by a nod by Mike.

In the distance, in front of the spacious courtyard of the white house, Derek seemed to be looking at the clear blue sky. The man took a deep breath and scanned the entire area before him.

Mike grinned. Know that Derek's waiting for his sign. He took out a thin, shiny knife that was on his thigh, then placed it briefly under the sun. The dazzling light flashed for a split second, enough for Derek to know if Mike had come with the troops he had been waiting for.

They waited a while for Amy Sky who left by car to be away from the villa.

"Prepare to party, Alex." Mike hissed at Alex who greeted his words with a grin.

"It's with pleasure, man." Alex hissed back before giving orders to his troops through a communication device installed in each member of the army so that everything moves to attack!
