Chapters 7. Looking for Mike

Reggie asked the chef for a glass of warm chocolate. He sat and waited while watching the middle-aged woman prepare her request and at the same time issued a snack in the form of biscuits that he baked himself. Reggie turned to the big kitchen door every now and then without realizing why he was doing it.

The sound of footsteps approaching made Reggie turn his head again, the figure of Alex who came to the kitchen made him feel a little disappointed.

The feeling of emptiness that was present in his heart after knowing that the man who came was Alex made Reggie realize that he had hoped to see and look for a gray-eyed man.

"Ah, I'm missing, apparently someone's waiting for you, madam."

Alex approached and winked at the chef, who was greeted with a bright smile from the woman.

"Sit Alex. I'll feed you."

"Oh, you always know what I want. I really love you, Madam."

The woman laughed as she shook her head at Alex's words. Alex turned his face towards Reggie, looking at the brown mug, cake and biscuits in front of the girl.

"You're not afraid of fat eating cookies in the middle of the night?" goda.

"I'm not fat" Reggie said.

"Now not fat. But it will soon. Especially if you do it every night."

Reggie just kept quiet, eager to ask Alex about Mike's whereabouts. Didn't that man go back to the mansion? Did he go back to his apartment? But his tongue had no courage, and Alex would surely tease him if he asked that question.

"Did Derek tell you when he's gonna bring Nonaku back?"

"Did your nonuncle not tell you?" Reggie looked annoyed at Alex who did not answer but instead asked him back.

"Don't forget Nonaku is a prisoner, Alex. Is he allowed to contact the person he wants? I don't think so ...."

"He's not Reggie's prisoner. Just like you. Derek was just trying to protect her by putting your non on her side. Don't know what Jack Langton's gonna do next for you if you know you're not under Derek's protection."

Reggie. In his little heart he knew Alex was right.

"The Langton family isn't really anyone else to Amy Sky. The girl's mother used to be the youngest daughter of this family, despite her adopted status. She chose to cut ties because she was married to Arthur Sky who was Erland Langton's enemy, Derek's father."

Reggie just listens to Alex's words without chiming in. He knows the Langton family tree. Mother Greta Amy's mother told me everything about her relationship with the Langton family.

The Sky family has taken care of Reggie and his mother as a family. Protecting both of them from people who wanted to hunt them down. Any information about the two is made to disappear.

Reggie learns that the safety and protection he and his mother can provide is not only given by Arthur Sky and his wife Greta. But there is the intervention of Erland Langton, Derek's father who stops all the efforts of those who seek them, so Reggie and his mother remain safe.Of course Reggie knows it was due to Mother Greta's request on Erland. Erland Langton loves her adopted sister, Greta Sky.

Amy didn't know a single bit about the matter. Nothing was told of his master's only daughter. Reggie believes his parents did all that to keep their daughter safe. The less Amy knows the better.

Food prepared by the chef is served in front of Alex. The man smiled widely and immediately devoured greedily.

"You're eating like ****!" reggie said with a grunt. The chef who heard the meaning of breathing gasped. Looking towards Alex who stopped the mouthful into his mouth. The man's hand stopped in the air.

They look at each other. Reggie stared fearlessly, making Alex finally suddenly feel amused and laugh out loud.

"Oh, Man .. I have sympathy for Mike. He must stand facing you." Alex put food in his mouth.

"Where is he?" Reggie asked as he lifted the warm brown mug to his lips.

"Who do you mean?" Alex pretends not to know who Reggie's asking.

"Your friend," said the girl slowly.

"I have a lot of friends. Which one?"

Reggie took a pissed breath.

"Mike! Where's she? Did he go back to his apartment?"

I told! I hope this guy doesn't realize I'm so curious.

"It's only been a day that you haven't seen her and you've missed her so much, girl," teased Alex with a playful laugh.

"Who misses! I just asked, Stupid!" Reggie's aggravation leaves Alex wide open. The chef who heard the conversation of the two people also laughed.

Hmm, fuck. Now Madam Chef laughs at me too. Reggie cursed at heart.

"I'll tell Mike you're looking for him, girl. I'll tell you that you miss him so much. Ha. ha.a...." Alex feels funny in his own words, he gets even more upset when Reggie stands up and leaves the table while cursing slowly .

"Well ... Mike, you need a lot of energy to conquer that stray cat my friend." He chuckled, The chef who heard his words smiled amusedly.

Mike arrived at the courtyard of the mansion. He sat quietly in the car without intending to get down.

"Why did I even come home here" he hissed. He ruffled his own hair and focused his forehead on the steering wheel .

The knock on the windshield of the car made Mike straighten up. He lowered the windshield to look at Alex, who was bent over to see and talk to him through the opened glass.

"I need to talk to you. But not here." Alex looked at Mike with a serious face. Mike immediately nodded.

"The basement?" The question was answered with a nod of the head by Alex who walked first leaving him inside the mansion.

Mike got off and closed the car door. He gave a round look. The night darkness covered a part of the mansion. The silent and silent atmosphere of the night made Mike even more convinced the Mansion was being watched. Reggie's presence in the mansion makes the enemy think that they brought the two remaining girls in the Sky family to Langton's main mansion.

A nice diversion, Mike thought.

They wouldn't have thought that Amy Sky wasn't actually here, I just needed to keep the black-haired stray cats in this mansion from coming out and getting caught by them.

Mike starts to step up, following Alex's lead into the mansion. Towards the stairs of the basement where there is a large room with sophisticated equipment created by their company.

Alex who arrived first had tuned and stood looking at several large sailing monitors in front of him.

"You see .. although they always change the vehicles they use and always wear a disguise, he said, our experts have already confirmed to me that that person is the same person who roams around this mansion every day."

"We're watching" said Mike quietly, who was immediately greeted with a nod of his head from Alex.

"Yes. As we thought before. They're looking for Arthur Sky and Reggie's daughter who's been seen in the mansion, which makes them think Amy Sky is here too."

Mike nodded at Alex's explanation.

"The wild cat was always looking for an escape opportunity. Don't believe he's tame. He's just looking for an opportunity, a time when we're off guard to get out of here."

"You're right. I think he's been pretending lately to scan his way out and make plans."

"Double guard around the mansion, Alex. It would be troublesome if later the girl ran away, then got caught by them."

"Yes .. ah, by the way, he asked you."

"Ask me?"

"Yes. He asked me if I knew where you were 'Did you go home to your apartment ...."

"What did you tell him?"

"I told you she must miss you so much for asking that. Only one day did he not see you."

Mike glared at Alex's words. He was shocked and shook his head.

"You said that!? What was his reaction?"

"Well .. he cursed me. Lose me a fool, a jerk too."

Mike chuckles.

"And he also called me ****." Alex again.

This time Mike was completely dumbfounded by Alex's words.
