Chapters 32. Crying

Reggie waited for Mike to come home happy. Amy called him to come over for dinner. Amy wants to talk about everything about her marriage to Derek.

After making sure Mike's kitchen was clean and shiny, Reggie washed his hands immediately on the sink faucet, then went to the living room and watched TV while waiting for Mike to come home.

The figure of Mike who entered suddenly and looked at him made Reggie very surprised. Did the TV voice that made her return not hear the man's footsteps.

"Tell me ... How do you do it? " Reggie frowned curiously.

"Do what?" Mike asked not to understand. Reggie was so focused on watching TV that he didn't realize Mike was standing in the room for a few seconds looking at him.

"You entered with no sound. Like a ghost, suddenly you're near me!"

Mike grinned. He did not answer and walked away from Reggie to the kitchen.

"Amy called. Asking for dinner there," Reggie said as he jumped up from the couch, half-running after Mike whom he saw opening the refrigerator door and retrieving a water bottle.

Reggie immediately picked up the glass and thrust it at Mike. The man welcomed his glass and poured the water he drank straight away.

"You're going to go too, aren't you?" The question posed by the frowning made Mike realize Reggie was cleaning his kitchen again until shiny. The girl picked up the condensing water bottle she had placed on the table and put it back in the refrigerator.

"Yes. I'm coming." Mike's answer made Reggie smile happily.

"In that case, can we leave early? I want to ask you what kind of wedding and party Nonaku wants." The girl gave a happy smile to Mike.

Mike wanted to test a conjecture that flashed across his head

"Derek and Amy also invited someone other than us to dinner" Mike said.

"Who?" reggie asked curiously, still smiling.

"Lucius Sanchez."

The name mentioned by Mike makes Reggie smile disappear, the girl looks silent, stiff and becomes a little pale.

Mike became worried and pulled Reggie, then hugged him in his chest. His false assumption is right. The change to Reggie when he heard Sanchez's name told him something was bothering him about the Sanchez family.

"Until when are you gonna keep all your secrets alone, Regina? Is there not a single drop of your trust in us? That we'll take care of you no matter what."

Mike's soft voice hugging him made Reggie unable to hold the rolled-up piece in his chest. He cried sobbing in Mike's chest, letting out a sense of fatigue holding back the endless restlessness in his mind.

"Stttt .. don't cry, Regina. I won't force you, I'll wait for you to be ready to tell."

Mike hugged Reggie tightly, then kissed the girl's head. Making Reggie's stuffing even more. Reggie replies to Mike's embrace, remembering Mother Greta and Mr. Arthur, Amy's parents, who always hold her when she is troubled by her past.

Marinna Reggie's mother also had Greta make it look like Reggie was adopted from a parlour. Greta nurtures little Reggie wholeheartedly, making the little girl feel the same affection as her affection for Amy, who was still a baby.

Mike took a deep breath when Reggie's cries did not subside. He immediately grabbed Reggie and took him to the sofa in the living room. He sat with Reggie on his lap.

Mike let the girl cry. Just hugging and stroking the girl's long hair over and over again. Wait until Reggie's sobs subside and reach out a tissue to remove the melted tears on the girl's cheeks.

"What haunts your dreams every night, Regina?" Mike's question made those black eyes look up at him.

"I heard you whimpering, crying and even screaming in your sleep" Mike continued.

"I'm sorry .. You must be disturbed." Reggie's words made Mike snort. That's not what he wants to hear.

"Start tonight, don't you lock your door! That's enough, Regina! You can't hold me anymore with that door! I'll break it if you lock it again!"

Mike's threat was met with silence. The girl just kept quiet and did not answer.

"I'll tell Lucius Sanchez if you don't obey what I just said. That there was a girl named Regina who had been in contact with Greta sky ...."

His threat this time got a reaction, Reggie looks widened his eyes towards him.

"Lucius asked to investigate all the people who had come in contact with Greta Sky. Either Greta was still using the name Margaretha Langton, as Langton's adopted daughter or when she was renamed Greta Sky."

"You allowed it?" Reggie asked from his lips that suddenly felt dry.

"Derek just kept his promise. He will free Lucius to search and question the people he wants to meet."

Mike's answer made Reggie go limp. He leaned his cheek against Mike's chest, trying to catch his breath gathering his strength.

"Listen to me, Woman! I can't help you if you don't tell me everything!" Mike looked up Reggie's pale face and found a tired face with puffy eyes, so he could not bear to continue his threat. He took a deep breath.

"Rest tonight, Regina. I'll go there myself. I'll tell Amy that you can't come because you're not feeling well."

Reggie nodded and leaned against Mike's chest while closing his eyes, Mike hugged the girl, peeked at the top of her head and let Reggie lean on her, hoping the girl to calm down.

"And remember my words, Regina. I don't want to see the door of the room that was locked when I got back from there. Tonight and next!"

Mike felt the black-haired head nod slowly at his chest. If Reggie still keeps his mouth shut, maybe he should have a little sniffing information from Sanchez ? Of course it must be done accidentally, for example under the pretext of helping the man find the woman he hunted.

Mike is thinking of a way to approach Lucius Sanchez and Reggie is thinking of a way to get out of Amy's life and leave Mike. The two filled the silence of the room with their own thoughts filling their hard-thinking brains.
