Episode 100: Gavin's Point of View

I'm Gavin Ryszard. People call me by the name of Gavin. I come from the same land as Rein Fleurish, as well as my same school as him. We have known each other since elementary school. I consider him a friend more than anyone. In this twelfth grade, I was with him on a student exchange program. And that's where I met Cassie. At that moment I had a special feeling for him.

In the early days we were together, I was met with an incident that made him upset with me. That's when I felt so guilty and my chest really hurt. As time went on, it was fortunate that things soon subsided. Without a second thought, I told my friends about my soaring feelings.

I am so grateful to have friends who are willing to support me. Not only did they get there, they also helped me to get closer to Cassie. Finally, it was decided on a mission that I would do on the weekend with some of my friends. That day came, I along with Adelard, Rein, and of course Cassie, walked to the park in the city center.

After walking around the park, we all went to a shady tree to take shelter and rest. It was then that Adelard and Rein approached an ice cream shop. I was ready to talk to Cassie even without my will, I suddenly became nervous. The atmosphere became awkward between the two of us. I started the conversation on a light topic first.

“K—You like the taste of strawberries, yes?”

“Iya..” replied Cassie who was as nervous as I was. Then the conversation just stopped and made me flutter. I also try to be excited and cheerful.

“Today is so hot, yes. Perfect for enjoying ice cream together,” lontarku smile.

“Think once... All of you to cool the throat..” said Cassie who began to dare to talk to me. The originally awkward atmosphere was now gradually relaxed and detached.

“Oh yes, you prefer ice cream cone or cup?” continue many.

“Depends, anyway. If I don't want to fall apart, I prefer the one in the cup, but I prefer the ice cream cone because everything is edible,” Cassie replied. Seeing her happy face made me feel relieved and happy.

“If I like the taste of chocolate, because I like to be addicted, hehe..” I said crybaby.

“I also like chocolate, but I think ice cream will be fresher if the taste of fruit,” reply Cassie grinned.

“Wah, you like everything, yes,” I continued joking.

“I am also picky, kok.. Hehe...”. We also laughed together.

“Oh yes, I want to apologize about the incident at that time..”.

“No problem. What passes let it pass. We are friends after all!” said smile. I responded by smiling too.

“Thank you! Nice to be friends with you,” I told him.

“I too!” sahut happy.

Then Adelard and Rein came up with ice cream in his hand. After that, we enjoyed the ice cream together. Cassie who was too carried away made him not aware of it. The ice cream he had in his hand had melted and dripped onto his shirt.

“Yah... Bajuku..” break. I grabbed a tissue and gave it to Cassie.

“Lap your hands,” reply me while wiping Cassie's tainted clothes. Rein and I were just watching the two of them. I didn't expect that I would be this close to him. A moment later the two of us looked at each other with very close faces. As I was being misbehaved, so was Cassie whose face was flushed with embarrassment.

“Thank you..” he said slowly to me.

“Sama-sama...” reply me smile.

After enjoying the ice cream we went to a statue of supplication. But the crowded atmosphere made me confused and overwhelmed not to be separated from them. The problem came when we were in that place and suddenly the weather changed by one hundred and eighty degrees. It was raining heavily and we both panicked. The sound of water spilling made it difficult for us to talk to each other.

“Cassie, take my hand!” seruku. He immediately grabbed my hand tightly. We ran to find a place to shelter.

“We are apart with Adelard and Rein!” lontar Cassie is worried.

“Important we are looking for a place to shelter first!” sahutku.

There is a sidewalk that has a roof from a distance. A lot of people take shelter there. We ran and approached the place. Upon arriving at the roofed sidewalk, we were both soaked. All of our bodies were plagiarized and made the clothes a little translucent. At first glance I saw his beautiful body curves. I shook my head with a profanity mind. Not far from where we were standing, there was a clothing store. I took Cassie to the store.

“Let's warm ourselves up there,” take me to him.

“Alright,” reply. We both walked with water dripping from our clothes. Arriving at the store, the two of us were not allowed to go inside.

“Sorry, we do not want this store to be muddy,” said the store keeper.

“Then, can we borrow a towel?” pinta Cassie with gentle. “Sorry, we are not there to lend. If you want, you can buy it,” replied the shopkeeper.

“Then we buy,” I say to him.

The shopkeeper picked up two towels and brought them to the cashier, while we waited outside. After that, the shopkeeper brought a towel that had been put in a plastic bag. I took it and then bought it. After that, we walked down the sidewalk.

“Sorry to have troubled you,” Cassie said feeling bad.

“No problem, the important thing is we do not catch a cold,” reply I smiled.

“Let's dry our clothes there,” take me.

“But, we don't have a change of clothes,” reply.

“We'll see first,” I said.

“Oke, it is not nice to wear wet clothes like this,” he said and we walked to the place.

Arriving there, we both approached a cashier. The cashier received us kindly, unlike the shopkeeper we had previously met.

“Welcome, how can I help you?”

“We want to dry these clothes,” I replied and instantly made the cashier's guard a little surprised.

“Oh, the clothes you're wearing, huh? But sorry, we do not provide clothes for you when waiting later.”

“It's okay, we have this towel!” reply me while showing me the towel I was holding. Suddenly the cashier and Cassie gasped in shock at my words just now.

“E—Eh? You sure?” cassie asked nervously and made sure.

“Iya, anyway here deserted, really. I think it's safe,” I replied calmly.

“T—But..”

“K—Then, you can use employee space. Let me show you,” said the nervous cashier.

We were both taken to a room full of clothes lockers. Then Cassie and I took turns to take off the clothes and put them in the basket. After that we both waited in the room while wearing towels. Cassie and I were sitting next to each other on a long bench. The situation became awkward and sometimes we looked at each other and looked away.

“What should I do?” I murmured in a troubled heart.

It took us about twenty minutes, and all that time we were silent and not talking at all. Until finally our clothes were given, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. We also wore these clothes alternately in the room. After that we went back to the cashier and paid for the service.

“Thank you very much. We are very helped,” I said while paying for it.

“Yes, thank you back. Customer service takes precedence here,” smile back. Then there was a conversation between me and the cashier, and Cassie was just watching us.

“We will stop by again someday.”

“Oh yes, are you students here at school? You can subscribe every month to wash your clothes.”

“Wah, so, huh? Thanks for the offer. I'll talk to my best friends.”

“Kutwait good news.”

“OK, we go first, yes. See you soon."

“Thank you for visiting!”

We continued our footsteps along the sidewalk. Without a purpose, we just walked around looking around.

“You were very familiar,” Cassie told me.

“Custom only, really. I'm so glad you met such a friendly person,” I replied prigas-pringis.

“You're good at hanging out, yes,” Cassie smiled. Then I remembered that we had been separated from Adelard and Rein. I reminded Cassie of that.

“Oh yes, I forgot,” replied without a panic expression at all.

“She was calm, did she completely forget and thought that she and I were dating?” I murmured in my heart.

“Gavin, there's no way he's like that,” continued my mind.

The cold weather made us both hungry. Then Cassie saw a restaurant and invited me to lunch there. While walking, we were just next to each other without holding hands. I wanted to walk while holding his hand, but I also did not want to cause trouble like the incident at that time.

“Hold, Gavin.. Slow down first..” I said to myself.
