Episode 56: While Walking Joyfully
A gray sky enveloped the horizon washing away the dew on the windows of cars. This long journey makes our spirit excited like a teenage adventure. Even with the weather and the season is less friendly, but the obstacles actually make us more challenged and enjoy it.
During the journey to Mount Vitlessia which will take tens of hours, rarely encountered other vehicles that pass other than us. Even so the vehicle will get more crowded as we head south. Mount Vitlessia is the highest mountain on the mainland among the surrounding mountains. Its location in the south makes it have a warmer climate than the city of Snitheria in the north.
“It looks like many are also going to go there,” said Freda while looking out there are several cars that lead the same as us.
“Wah, it looks like we won't be lonely there,” Hart replied happy and already impatient.
“How long will we be until?” manya curious.
“Perhaps about twenty hours travel time, not including rest,” replied Eledarn. I was surprised to hear it. “After a time.” Before I thought that travel time would only take a few hours.
“It looks like we will stay first at night,” said Freda. Then our conversation finished and fell silent while looking at the scenery outside. Hart proposed an idea that this trip was not boring.
“How about we play a song and sing along?” bertar's proposal while turning on the car radio. “Of course,” says Freda is excited.
The atmosphere that was quite quiet before instantly became liquid and warm. We sang together and chatted back as usual. But Freda is too excited to make me claustrophobic.
“Active once you are. What are you feeling?” I was a little bit upset with him.
“Come on, let's have fun!” lontar Freda was excited and then greeted with cheers from my other friends.
But not so with Cassie who sat quietly while leaning her head to the window looking at the beautiful green nature. I who also do not want to spend my energy also do not want to do a lot of excessive behavior. The time in the car I spent enjoying the natural beauty offered. I tried to reprimand Freda so as not to have too much behavior.
“We just spend time in the car to rest. So that we are more together when we arrive later,”, I told him.
But he did not repress him and continued his war with Eledarn and Milard. Hart and Emery were chatting in the front seat.
Sure enough, some time later the atmosphere was instantly quiet and people fell asleep. Me, Emery, and Hart are still busy chatting and accompanying Hart who is driving this car.
“Since when do you have a driving letter?” I was curious about Hart.
“New a few months ago. On my birthday tomorrow I immediately train and take this license,” he replied calmly.
“You are great, Hart,” praise Emery amaze him. Sontak Hart became elated. Then I became frightened because he was less focused on watching the road.
“Hart! Watch way!” i firmly realize. Emery also got carried away and panicked. Fortunately, Hart quickly realized from his profanity.
“Let's take a break,” my proposal to Hart.
“Betul. You rest first,” continued Emery told him. Hart agreed. We also don't want to overcharge Hart who is the only person who can drive a car between us all. After all, it is appropriate to rest after a few hours of walking.
Time has shown the middle of the day to the evening. Hart also put his vehicle in a resting place. Not as many cars as a typical day. Hart and Emery went ahead of me to the restaurant available there. I was waiting in the car while trying to wake them up.
“Uwah... Where are we now?” asked Freda then yawn still not fully aware. So does the others. Suddenly I was fascinated by the look on Cassie's face that had just woken up from her sleep. After all I woke up I took him to the restaurant for lunch where Hart and Emery were already there.
There is not much talk we talk about while eating. After eating, people split up. The women went to the convenience store to buy snacks and drinking water for supplies during the trip. Hart and I rested at the coffee shop while Eledarn and Milard went around
the resting place.
Hart and I enjoyed the coffee that was served while warming up. Some conversations we also did not talk about. It didn't feel like an hour had been spent resting and we were ready to go back before dark.
“Come back to the car,” take me to Hart. My friends were waiting for us there. Finally we moved from the resting place to continue the journey that was only half. A few hours later we decided to find a place to stay overnight.
“Let's stay there!” gagas Freda pointed to the inn based on the house.
We did not argue much because the feeling of being haunted us. We stopped there and booked a room for the night. Because of the spacious rooms we only booked two rooms to separate men and women.
After putting our luggage, we went to bed and rested. But before that we all promised not to act strange all night.
“Awas only if you guys peek at us, yes!” freda threatened us. “Iya, yes,” I said did not notice.
Then we went to our own rooms. But a bad feeling came to my mind seeing Hart and Eledarn whispering to each other like they were planning something.
“What else do they plan to do?” my mind is a little angry. But I didn't attach much importance to it and chose to go to sleep immediately.
“As far as they are.. It is better that I sleep,”.
