Episode 132: Fireworks Festival

One afternoon in the middle of the weekend, the four of us were getting ready to go to the festival venue. Gavin and I finished first and waited for Rein and Cassie. They seem to have trouble wearing traditional clothes. After a long wait, they finally finished it. Then the four of us came to the dormitory next door. They were waiting for us in front of the corridor.

“Aready all?” ask Bella.

“Already!” reply Gavin excited.

“The four of you look so beautiful,” Gandra told the women. Suddenly they became blushed and happy at the same time.

“Thank you..” Reply Bella.

“Come on the road!” lontar Icha's.

“Come!”

We also set foot along the sidewalk in the middle of the city. The ambience is enlivened by various vehicles passing by as well as people who are also heading to the same destination. There are many women who wear traditional clothes. Rein who was next to me then tried to grab my hand. Fortunately, I can read the meaning. I also held his hand. Gavin felt envious after seeing the two of us.

“Can I join hands with him?” gavin murmurs in the liver. A few seconds later Cassie shook Gavin's hand and shocked Gavin.

“What is mak— E—Eh? Se—Since when did you guys date too?” lontarku can't believe it. Gavin, Cassie, and Rein also gasped in shock as well as gawking and flabbergasted. Gandra is seen joining hands with Bella, while Rhean is with Icha.

“Perhaps you could say we are familiar.?” bella hesitated.

“We are just following you guys,” continued Gandra smiling.

“Betul, we also want to like you,” Icha said.

“Then, why don't you guys just date?” proposal Rein.

“How to explain it, well..” replied Bella worried.

“Better we continue the road first,” said Gandra. We listened and walked back to the city center.

Arriving there, the sun was setting and left part of his face still visible. There were various stalls lined up along the road as usual. The lights that glow yellow orange hangs around illuminate the festival grounds. We're still walking together. Eventually, we had to split up for different purposes.

“I want to get there.”

“We want to go there.”

I continued walking around the park with Rein, Cassie, and Gavin. Our steps came to a halt at a food stall on the side of the road.

“Do you want that?” ask Rein.

“Bby, let's go there,” reply me.

“You want to titip?” continue Rein.

“Yes. We also want to buy drinks there. You want to too, right?” gavin replied then he asked us again. I also asked the question. The four of us separated from each other and we came to the food vendor.

“We order four pieces each,” said Rein.

“All types?” ask the seller in surprise.

“Iya,” replied Rein smiled.

“OK,” reply. He also prepared our order. While waiting, we watched as he was busy cooking it. Not long after, he invited us to talk.

“Student exchange program?”

“Iya,” I replied grinning.

On the other hand, Gavin and Cassie approached a soft drink kiosk. Gavin ordered four drinks to the seller. Without a long time, they walked back with two glasses that were in each of their hands. The place is very crowded and full of traffic visitors make it difficult for them to walk. Suddenly someone grabbed Cassie and made her fall. Gavin quickly restrained himself with his body. The drink in their hands spilled a little.

“You all right?” ask Gavin to worry.

“I—Iya, I'm fine. Thank you..” Then with their sticky hands they walked over to us both who were already on the park bench.

“This is your custody,” said Gavin.

“Why are your hands wet?” many confusions.

“Yah...So something happened..” replied Gavin cengengenesan.

“Thank God the drink just spilled a little,” chirped Rein.

“You are more concerned with drinks than us?” reply Gavin sebal.

“Sure!” lontar Rein smiled and insinuated. Then we occupied the park bench. But I was astonished by this long park bench.

“What is this park bench right?” many wonder.

“Yes too, yes. I just saw a park bench like this,” Rein replied.

“We better eat this food only,” Gavin said.

The four of us enjoyed the food and drinks. Rein and I sat next to each other, and so did Gavin and Rein. Accompanied by the noise of the crowd and the fragrant smell of food became a silent witness to our current events. Such an atmosphere then made Rein do something that I had no time to think of.

“Adelard, open your mouth.” Cassie saw us doing something similar to Gavin.

“Aaaa...” Cassie said as she held out the food in her hand towards Gavin. Without thinking Gavin immediately ate it. Then it was my turn and Gavin to do that to both of them.

“Enak?” ask Gavin to Cassie.

“Hmm…! Yummy!” smiling reply.

Time went on until the clock showed that the fireworks show was about to start. Those of us who had just finished all the food immediately rushed towards the river which was not far from the festival center. The place is perfect for watching the beauty of fireworks and the city simultaneously. At once the bridge and the river bank were filled with a sea of people. I also embraced Rein so as not to be separated from me. The same goes for Gavin to Cassie.

On the edge of the guardrail we stood while waiting for the show. There were a lot of couples around us. We talked to each other and shared our laughter. There was a rumor that right when the first fireworks were lit in the sky, at that time all requests could be granted. Moreover, if there is a couple who kiss each other with sincerity, then their love will be true.

“Where's the rumor from? Is that true?” rein said wondering.

“Once again, I also just found out that there is such trust,” reply me.

Not long after, finally heard the sound of an announcement that the show will begin in a matter of seconds. Taken together, all visitors count down. We all stood and faced each other with our partners. Rein and I looked into each other's eyes with happy faces, as did Gavin and Cassie who were right behind me.

“Ten. Nine. Eight...” Then me and Rein approached each other.

“Three, two, one!”

The first fireworks were lit very brightly for a long time. I who stepped little by little suddenly slipped due to the stampede of banana skin that came from nowhere. Holding Rein's shoulder, I tumbled back and pushed Gavin. Rein and I fell into a competitive position hugging on the ground. Unknowingly, we kissed each other. Meanwhile, Gavin, who is pushed, kisses Cassie accidentally. At that moment, there was a camera shot beside us.

“What a beautiful photo...” Then came the sound of the fathers who were tingling with laughter. The four of us looked towards them. Instantly we were shocked to death after getting to know them. With a dumbfounded face, a word was thrown out loud enough simultaneously from all of us.
