Episode 167: Luka Contains Learning
The hour of rest had arrived with the sound of a bell that sounded as the initial seconds of the disciples feeling relieved for a moment of time. Many students choose to remain in the room and use the time to repeat the subject matter to be tested next. Only some people go to the cafeteria because the exam schedule is completed during the day, so many people do not mind their respective stomachs.
I leaned against the bench with my head still hurting, as did Cassie holding her head. I walked slowly over to Cassie and my vision was a little blurred by the pain in my head. Then I pulled out a bench and sat down next to him. Previously I could only surrender to the circumstances that befell me. At least I've been trying to do what I can.
“Sorry.. Because of me, you got the sap,” I said slowly.
“A—I'm sorry too, I was too close to you earlier,” he replied and also felt guilty. Moments later, my eyes suddenly felt heavy and wanted to sleep.
“Why did I suddenly become sleepy like this?” mumamku astonishment. My head was swinging and trying to stay awake.
“I too... Do we have to go to the health room again?” cassie's worried.
“It's hard for my body to wake up,” I replied. Not long after, my friends came to us both. They were confused to see us who did not look as fit as usual.
“You why?” rein was worried.
“Our head hurts... Can you please take us to the health room?” reply lethargic.
“What happened to you guys?” continued Bella.
“We take them first,” says Gavin.
Me and Cassie were each embraced by my friends. My eyes grew dark and blurry at every step. My head feels throbbing and never stops. Cassie who could not hold it anymore then closed both eyes and immediately unconscious. Rein and Bella who noticed it were shocked in panic.
“Cassie? Cassie!” lontar Rein's. They speed up their steps to get to the health room soon. Icha and Rhean parted ways with us and hurried off to the teacher's room to call the health expert.
“Hold, Adelard..” Gavin concluded to me. I just muttered without saying a word.
Arriving in the room, Cassie and I were immediately laid on the mattress available. At the same time, Icha, Rhean, and the teacher came to open the door and immediately approached us. He immediately opened the shelf and took a cold compress while asking for the complaints I felt. My friends helped the teacher, hoping that we were okay.
“What pain do you feel?”
“K—My head hurts so much.. Te—It feels heavy and twitching...”
The teacher put down a cold compress and was helped by Rein holding it. Then he took paracetamol and Bella took two glasses of drinking water for both of us. The unconscious Cassie was only given a compress held by Gavin. I was given the medicine and then took it slowly. He checked the wound on my head that looked swollen and blue.
“You rest first,” he told me.
“T—But... How about my test, Mom?”
“At a time like this you still think about exams,” cetus Gandra.
“Your most important health,” reply the teacher. I followed him and closed my eyes and fell asleep. He tidied my hair while looking at the wound up close.
“Hopefully not severe,” murmured the teacher.
Time kept turning and the inbound bell would ring right back. My friends can't stay in the infirmary forever. Cassie and I are still lying in bed. The teacher then asked someone among them to call a school employee.
“Please call, yes,”
“OK, Mom,” said Gavin who then rushed to meet the man.
After a few things happened, they all headed back towards their respective examination rooms. We were both being treated by the teacher and a friend of his. Until the bell rang, all the students immediately left the room and walked home, but different from my friends who then came to visit us. In the meantime, we both haven't woken up.
“Are they better, Mom?” ask Rein to worry.
“It looks like it already looks better,” reply.
“What they've been up before?” continued Bella.
Shortly after, I opened my eyes and woke up from my sleep. My head still feels a little dizzy despite feeling better. I who wanted to sit up could not lift my head higher. I could only lie down and not move my head too much. All of them who saw me came running to me.
“You feel better?” rein asked worriedly.
“Iya.. But still a little dizzy,” I replied.
“The wound has also deflated,” continued the teacher. Everyone was happy and relieved to hear it. At the same time Cassie awakens from her heart and makes them all turn to her. Thankfully, Cassie felt better too.
“Home home from school, huh?” askaku.
“Ya, outside is quiet,” replied Rein.
“I've spoken to the teacher in question. You can do follow-up anytime,” said the teacher.
“Thank you,” reply I smiled.
In the end we all went back to the dorm with myself and Cassie walking slowly with them. I was able to walk more balanced and my vision was no longer blurred. Arriving at the dormitory, we both spent a lot of time resting while taking the medicine given by the teacher. I just took a little time before going to bed to repeat the material that will be tested tomorrow.
The next day, as usual we walked when the sun had just emerged from the surface. My head was light and so was Cassie. As I set foot, I took the time to read my book. Not long after I did, Rein immediately pulled me who almost fell from the side of the road.
“Be careful,” says Rein.
“You want to feel it again?” chirping Gandra.
“Of course not!” lontark.
“Note your way,” Rein continued.
“Alright..” reply. I closed the book and walked carefully. Cassie, who previously read the book, followed me so that bad things wouldn't happen to her.
“From now on, you should pay more attention to your surroundings,” Rein told me.
“You too, Cassie,” says Gavin.
“Alright, we will be more vigilant again,” reply me.
Upon arrival at the school gate, we saw students crowded in our eyes. We who were curious then approached the scene of the incident. Apparently there are some people who fell due to tripping with a road hole that is being repaired. We who only briefly saw it then walked back into the building.
“We can learn this morning,” muttered Bella.
“I hope we don't fall in the same hole as them,” Icha said.
“Thank you for warning me and Adelard before,” Cassie smiled.
I who was in front of the entrance of the building then looked up while hoping.
“Protect us all from what is bad around us..”
“Adelard! Come!” lontar Rein was already inside with the others. With great pleasure I ran towards them.
“I'm coming!”
