Episode 20: The Couples
After school I fulfilled my promise to come to the drama club room. The echo of my footsteps accompanies me to walk. The silent and quiet passageway made the sound of the wind sound quite clear. The orange light through the window made the place I was passing through this look cool.
Arriving at the drama club room, the bustling atmosphere and burning spirit were clearly visible on his faces. Emery came to me and gave me a script for the drama later. I understand the core of the story and memorize important parts of the dialogue. The rest can be improvised.
After I finished reading the entire script, I became curious.
“Then who became the Princess?” I asked Emery.
“Oh yes, I forgot to introduce the characters as well as the cast.” He also introduced them one by one. Of all the figures mentioned, he has not mentioned the figure of the Princess. Until he finally mentioned it.
“Dan who plays The Princess is..”.
“I.” said Emery nervously blushed shyly.
I was surprised by him too. But then I realized it made sense. Moreover, Emery as the chairman of the club, of course he will play an important role. Emery who saw me was surprised to be panicked and misbehaved himself.
“M—Please cooperate.” said Emery.
“Iya. Please me too.” reply me.
Not long after that I was welcome to try out the costume that I would wear during the drama competition. I who have never used a costume become overwhelmed with the number of accessories. As a result I spent quite a long time. After I finished changing clothes, people were amazed by my perfectly matched appearance.
“Gunny wits once.” Compliments came to me. “Suit once.” That's the obvious word I heard from all the sentences that came out of the room. Emery who looked at me smiled radiantly.
“Emery, now it's your turn.” say one of the members.
Emery also replaced his clothes with a costume that had been prepared. Shortly after, he left the dressing room. The time was changing very quickly compared to me. Again the cheering praise led to him. I can't believe the costume she wore was very similar to the Princess as depicted in fairy tales.
“Beauty once.” my praise to Emery.
“Te—Thank you.” reply was nervous and her face flushed red.
After we were all ready we practiced playing the drama from start to finish. There were some scenes that I didn't remember and didn't fit the script. But I quickly dealt with it by improvisation. I had no acting experience at all before. Movies from cinema and television became my reference as well as a teacher in the current condition. It was fortunate that all the cast could adjust it right then and there. I feel relieved.
After the whole story was over I and a few other actors repeated a few scenes together. Then we changed our clothes. Then everyone tidied up the room and prepared to go home. Before that, we scratched each other until finally the sky began to turn dark and then people separated from each other.
“Good work!” the compliments are happy with me.
“You too.” reply. “You are very good at acting, yes?” imbuhku smile. People started to leave the room and eventually left us both. I don't feel good leaving a woman in the building alone. He who still tidied up some costumes then I helped him. I was confused and then asked.
“Isn't it like this already neat?” my many.
“So safe I want to move into the locker.” he replied as he paced around carrying the costume and placed it down.
“Alright then.” sahutku.
After a while, everything finally settled down and we were able to go out of the room and go home. Arriving at the gate I and Emery separated because our house was located opposite the direction of the school.
“Thank you for today. See you.” said Emery happy.
“Sama-sama.” replied.
Throughout my vision he walked and sang. I saw him so happy. Tiring but also fun day.
“It's good to help them.” my mummy is happy while stepping foot alone.
