Unlike usual I can get along with anyone normally. But this time it's not like that. A sense of awkwardness was present between the two of us. I'm confused to say what keeps thinking about finding the topic of conversation. While Cassie still looked down with the book in her arms.
“You like math?” I was ashamed of him. I'm like a fool who doesn't know what to say.
“Iya..” the answer is meek. I was curious about what he said just now. “You're not in the math club?” ask again. There was no eye contact between us. A blank look at the school gate, that's what we saw together. Then he answered my question by nodding his head.
“Why?” My voice is not what it used to be. I subconsciously spoke very quietly and politely to him. It's possible that this is my reflex because I'm talking to a completely foreign person. It's a lot different unlike when I talk to Hart and Freda.
“I have no friends..” he said slowly and sadly. I feel bad for him. So I asked him to be friends with me.
“Then will you be friends with me?”
“K—Ka—You sure? cassie asked me nervously and her eyes were glazed over. “Iya.” I replied smiling at him. I don't understand why I asked like that. Then the best question in my head.
“Didn't anyone ask him to be friends at all?” Then Cassie returned me.
“Alright, friend.” he said happily and smiled happily at me.
Her unexpected expression surprised me as well as pleased. But not long after that he lowered his head again and mopey sad. It surprised me and felt guilty.
“But I can't say much when it's crowded.” he said subtly.
“It's okay. Talk to me when you want to do it.” reply I smile calms him. “You go to the library often, right? You can talk to me there.” I'm nervous.
“Iya.” he replied and his face was happy again. But my curiosity suddenly overshadowed my mind.
“Do you really have no friends?” ask him. Instantly he became silent and moody again. I again felt guilty and tried to calm him down.
“Iya. I was always alone from childhood.” he replied a little embarrassed. I was surprised to hear it too. I can't squint a bit. I don't want to offend him anymore. The day is getting late and the sky is reddish orange. Then I parted with him.
“See you.” he said subtly with a smile.
I reply to him too. I, who was still at the door of the school building, saw him walking as my increasingly faint gaze was blinded by the distance. I am still thinking about this unexpected event. It seems like I can help him to start blending in with others slowly.
“Ekhem.” That familiar voice sounded from behind me.
“Freda?” I said while surprised.
“It's getting familiar, huh?” sindir Freda while grinning. This time I was surprised not to play.
“K—You saw it?” I was nervous about him. He just responded with a happy smile. I was embarrassed by him at the same time.
“Not to think about. Well.. waves of young people, unavoidable.” lontarannya act wisely.
“B—Well...” answered me trying to calm down.
But it's not that easy to get rid of that shame. At the same time I was worried about her mouth always kissing. I'm afraid that just happened to be his talk. I can only hope in my heart that Freda doesn't talk about anything weird about me and Cassie.
“May his mouth not act.”
