Episode 97: Exploring the Ghost House

Bright evenings with a little cotton sky, the public is getting crowded, and the city center is brightly lit with lights from the streets and buildings. The day had been getting late and the moon had been at its highest peak along with the stars. Me, Rein, and Cassie were still shocked by a place that Gavin had pointed out.

“K—You sure?” ask Cassie scared.

I became reminded of the events of that time, when Cassie and I along with friends were trapped in a haunted building.

“Of course,” replied Gavin excitedly. Looks like Gavin and Rein haven't found out that Cassie is so scared of things related to ghosts. I told Gavin by whispering into his ear.

“He was a coward, you know.. I hope you can make good use of such a situation.”

“Siap, Boss,” reply while giving a thumbs up.

We were also in a long line. The entertainment venue only accepts people who are in pairs. I don't understand the rules they make. All who are in line here are human couples, including us. We were finally in the front row.

“Excite, you two!” lontar Gavin to me.

“You're not afraid, are you?” I asked Rein.

“Well, you underestimated me, huh? We'll see later,” replies acting presumptuous. Cassie clasped Gavin's hand tightly. Rein and I smiled at him.

“There's nothing to be afraid of, Cassie. There's Gavin next to you,” I said calming him down.

“B—Good...” reply nervous. Now is the time for me and Rein to enter that haunted house.

“You guys ready?” ask the entrance guard. We both answered him in a compact manner.

“Ready!”

“Please,” said the doorman as he opened the door and invited us to enter.

We both went inside and looked in different directions. After we entered a hallway, the entrance closed tightly and made the room appear dark, yet we could still see it. Then Rein and I walked slowly together while holding hands. Building materials made of wood, smoke fog that spread, and noise that echoes in the ear.

“A—Let's start walking,” I said slowly and a little scared.

“Lah, you underestimated me. Now even you are afraid,” Rein replied a little annoyed at me. With my head slightly lowered I looked at the roofs.

“But this place is scarier than I thought.”

We both walked slowly. We both spoke to each other in small voices. Meanwhile Cassie and Gavin got a turn after we had to wait first for five minutes. Soon Rein felt the same way as me. We were both acting like cats that Lidi was carrying.

“True you said.This place is creepy,” lontarannya fear.

Three minutes later, we were still in the hallway not far from our starting line. Nothing has surprised us both. I was still frightened by the creepy atmosphere, as well as Rein. Sometimes we are surprised by the sounds of wood creaking. Things like that have made me breathless and exhausted.

“Wait a minute.. A—I'm tired,” I said while fixing my breath with deflated flowers.

“Come quickly, so we can get out of this place immediately,” said Rein to me.

Soon we continued our steps little by little. There was a way out of a straight hallway that we were passing through. I also slightly accelerated my steps, although as much as possible I tried not to cause noise. Until we were at the end of the hallway with a door connected to a room in front of us, but something appeared right in front of our faces.

“Aaaaaaa..!” we both shouted in unison. The two of us immediately hugged tightly and did not let go in such a short time. Instantly my heart was beating so fast, that I almost fell unconscious from the terrible shock.

“A—I... Ham..pir only hang...” blow me with tight breath.

“I want to quickly get out..” complained Rein.

Soon we both set foot again. We were in a room that looked like a dining room. There was food on the table, but just looking at it made me want to vomit. The messy condition of the room makes the atmosphere even more frightening. I looked through my steps to the floor scattered with kitchen utensils. Suddenly Rein kicked something and made me flinch in shock.

“Gosh! What is it?” tanyaku.

“Please note your steps!” I said a little annoyed at him.

“Iya, yes, sorry..”.

We finally made it out of the messy dining room. Now we enter another room. I haven't caught up with the kind of room we're in right now. There are large pockets hanging from the roof of the room. Rein was at the back while tightly holding onto my shoulder. Unknowingly he stepped on a sticky liquid on his foot.

“E—Eh? What is this liquid?” ask Rein in fear. I looked back and brought my eyes closer to the floor. It turns out that the liquid is similar to glue.

“Lem?” answered doubt. “But why is there glue in a place like this?” he continued asking me again.

“I don't know either,” reply me.

Then I turned back to face forward, a face was seen right in front of my eyes. His face was ugly and his body hung upside down. I saw him in shock and was silent without a word. At first glance I felt that I was unconscious. My vision became dark and shadowed with horrible things. But my eyes are still wide open like I want to get out of my face. Rein who was looking at him instantly covered his gaze on my back.

“I—I—I—I—I—This bu—not a person sung—guhan, k—kan?” lontarku gelapagan half dead.

“I don't want to see it!” sahut Rein's scared.

I stepped in with my eyes half closed, while Rein was right behind my back. We walked out of the room and entered a room again, but the room I was looking at right now resembled a living room. There was a sofa and a television that lit up without a signal. At first glance this room is similar to the living room in our dormitory.

“Television only, right…? Let's quickly get out of here,” I said slowly to Rein.

We had to pass the television to get out of this room. But when we were right in front of the television, suddenly the television was playing a show featuring a masked face and talking in a terrible voice. The voice he spoke had a crisp tone while giggling.

“Halo! Good night!”

“There's nothing you need to fear. I'm just here to take you guys away to play.”

“Hihihihi!”

“Come play with me! Don't get out of this room!"

“Come play with me! Come play with me!”

Suddenly the voice of the figure became very low with an angry expression on the mask he was wearing.

“AYO PLAY WITH ME!”

We both ran out of the room. It turns out we are still faced with a room again, but this time there is a mattress in the corner of the room. We were terrified to find the exit of this room, but there was only a door connected to the previous one. Meanwhile, the voice of the scream of the figure was still heard clearly and ringing in my head.

“How is this? Where do we go?” ask Rein to panic. I was also in the fog and looked around, but the noise of the figure made me dizzy and my vision was a bit dull. Shortly thereafter, a baby laughed loudly. I just realized there was a baby doll on the mirror table.

“Gosh! What else is this.?” lontarku. Then I saw a closet that was closed.

“Hopefully this is the exit!” I cried while opening the door tightly. And it turns out, the closet is a hidden door to get out. We ran through the closet and finally our haunted room was over. A doorkeeper greeted us happily.

“Congratulations! You guys made it out of this haunted house!” In the meantime we were both very exhausted and our breathing was very messy.

“Finally... We are out too..” break Rein relieved. Then we left the haunted house and waited for Cassie and Gavin. While waiting, we rested on a bench across the street. Not much talk we do. At that very moment, it occurred to me that Cassie was in her mind right now.

“Gosh! What about Cassie? He'll be fine inside, right?”

“Oh yes! Cassie!”
