Episode 109: The Manipulator
Cloudy day becomes a backdrop for the crowds of people who scatter. Now it has entered the hour of rest, so that many humans are passing around the school. After the sports lesson, many students decided to go straight to the cafeteria, including my friends. On the other hand, Cassie and I were still shocked by the presence of Gandra that I was not aware of before.
“G—Gandra?” lontar Cassie couldn't believe it. Shortly after the quiet atmosphere, Gandra suddenly laughed out loud and made me and Cassie confused.
“Your faces are very funny,” throws while tingling with laughter.
“E—Eh? You don't think that...” I'm surprised. He looked so happy that his eyes were teary from a very loose laugh. Sometime later, Gandra finally regained his composure even though he was still smiling, holding back laughter.
“Take it easy. There's no way you guys would do that kind of thing, right?” We who heard it breathed a sigh of relief. Cassie asked Gandra again to make sure she returned with a slightly panicked expression.
“B—True?” Then Gandra answered Cassie's question while taking a ball rolling towards her. It turned out that the ball was a tennis ball that made me fall. He calmly told us while smiling.
“All that's because of this little ball, right?” Cassie who saw it was shocked after finding out. “B—Tennis ball?” he said he didn't believe.
“Yah... I didn't see it earlier,” I replied with a whimper.
“Based on a naughty ball,” continued Gandra while throwing the ball in the direction of a box, and the ball went on target, while me and Cassie were still in a position that had not changed at all. Gandra who saw it made us both aware.
“Ekhem, want to like that continue?” We both woke up and quickly stood back up.
“O—Oh yes, sorry, sorry,” I told Cassie. “Yes me too,” her reply which was still a little nervous. I put the net in its place, and so did Gandra who put the balls he brought. After that we all came out of the barn. I closed the door tightly, and we all walked straight to the cafeteria.
During the trip along the corridor, we passed through many classes crowded with people. There are also many crowds that occur in the corridor, either just for chatting or playing. The people who passed by and over here made us rush to the cafeteria. We decided so that we could arrive at the canteen first before the place exploded.
Arriving at the cafeteria, it turns out that the place is already crowded even though it is not as crowded as usual. Soon the three of us ran to the queue to buy lunch. After that, we walked to the dining table. From a distance, our older friends arrived. Then the three of us came to him.
“You were so long,” said Rein.
“Sorry, there were a few things going on, hehe..” reply me grin. My words just now made all of them an adjustment.
“What happened to you guys?” ask Rhean. I was confused to answer that question. Cassie and I just muttered without saying a word.
“So we dropped the ball box. So we have to tidy it up first,” replied Gandra calmly as she occupied the seat next to Bella. Then he turned to me and blinked one eye at me. I am also relieved by that answer. Then Cassie and I sat in different places. I occupy the seat next to Rein. Rein put his mouth close to my ear and we both whispered to each other softly.
“Tadi Cassie went to see you?” ask Rein curiously. I asked that question.
“He's talking about what?” he continued asking back.
“Nothing,” answered me a little restless. Rein also showed his stolen face towards me. Seeing her like that made me panic even more towards her.
“A—Let's eat first,” I reply nervous to him, but it seems he remains prejudiced to me. The sense of pressure required me to inevitably have to tell Rein the truth. I wanted to lie like Gandra, but not a single sentence flashed through my head. In my heart I only wish someone would distract me.
“Please someone, help me..” I murmured in my heart. Rein who looked at me constantly made me unable to be silent for too long, while my friends were engrossed in their own food. In the end, I resigned and told Rein.
“Tad—“ But suddenly my words were cut off by Gandra who spoke to Rein. I am so grateful for that incident.
“Thank you, Gandra,” I said in my heart while looking at him.
“Rein, did Mr Edwin meet you?” ask Gandra. Rein looked at him immediately.
“Oh, then forget it, it looks like he has found your replacement,” replied while taking his bribe.
“Good then, I am not troubled,” said Rein pringas-pringis. The topic just goes there. Just before Rein remembered the two of us who were not finished, Gandra immediately talked about a new topic together.
“Oh yes, tumben once you do not bring stock.”
“Ah yes, we forgot to buy the staple yesterday. Fortunately it was still enough for breakfast this morning,” replied Cassie grinning.
“Then, would you like to come with us? Coincidentally we also run out of food,” Icha said to invite Cassie and Rein.
“How, Rein?” added Bella.
“Alright, we are coming with you,” he replied smiling. Gavin, who was still recovering, ate the food on his wheelchair.
“Always a coincidence, yes,” cetus Gavin joked.
“Makanya, I did not think that your food stock is all the same,” said Rhean added.
“Finally, we always buy with the same amount... Hehehe..” reply Icha cengengesan.
“Quickly,” I continued smiling. We ate lunch until we finished chatting together.
After that, we all returned to our respective classes because the entrance bell had rung. We walked along the corridor along with the other students who flocked to walk and run to each of their classes. I pushed the wheelchair Gavin occupied. Arriving in class, I had a chat with Gandra about the incident earlier.
“You are very expert at distracting and talking, yes?” I said slowly to him. He smiled at me and said, “I did it because I wanted to.”
“You like to do it?” continue the adjustment.
“Not too often, Usually I do it if I need it or if the situation is urgent like earlier,” he replied smiling.
“I'm very grateful to you,” reply I'm happy.
“No problem, I am also happy to be able to make people do something according to the flow I want.”
“Wah, you're quite dangerous too.”.
“Yah... You could say so,” reply rattled.
The students returned to their seats because they saw a teacher who was going to teach in our class walking towards here. Before I parted with Gandra and went to the seat, I had a chance to curse at him.
“Maybe in the future I will ask a lot for your help.” Then he gladly replied to me.
“As long as I can, I will try my best.”
