One month after my first day of school, people were very excited and practice time was preferred for those who were about to enter the race. Almost all clubs will take part in the race at the city, national and world level. I'm going to be at the maths Olympics again this year using my time to study.
I was confused when I entered the class. Hart won't come to school, but the bell will ring soon.
“Why isn't he in today?” I was confused and curious at the same time in my heart.
Shortly after, the bell rang. And sure enough, Hart's seat was empty. The first lesson has begun. During the lesson I thought about it. Like there was something strange about him. He hardly ever went to school. But not with today.
During the break Freda came to me who was studying mathematics in class.
“Focus once learned it.” quipped beside me. “Can you not bother me for one week only.” I said exasperatedly to him. “Can't.” the answer is short and I sighed after hearing it.
“You don't want to see your best friend?” asked Freda curiously.
“Eh? Hart is sick?” I came back surprised.
“Iya. You better go see him.” he replied and gave me advice. I just heard this time I was sick. I think people who always exercise seem almost impossible to get a disease.
“Honey once...” Freda said with a sigh. “What's up?” many confused. “It looks like he will talk about something important to you.” replied him who also thought of confusion.
“Alright, tomorrow I'll see him.”
“Then I send greetings, yes.”
“Loh? You're not coming?” I was surprised to be confused.
“No. I can visit him anytime.” he replied smiling happily at me. “Again I don't want to disturb the time of the two of you.” he added insinuating again to me.
“You think we are what?” I was angry at him. And he just laughs.
“Ya already! It's up to you!” she was angry but her cheeks were red.
After school I left class. I came home sooner than usual. When I was looking at the field, it was seen that the basketball club was practicing there. “Not that they will follow the race soon?” I was confused in my heart. Before heading home I stopped by to buy Hart some medicine.
The next day after school I went to her house alone. My house is not far from his house. I walked on foot, carrying a plastic bag of light medicine in my hand. The medicine I bought was nothing more than dizziness, cough and fever relief.
Arriving at Hart's house I pressed the bell. But there was no response. This house looks empty from the outside. I called him too.
“Come in, it's just me.” he said while coughing. I opened the door and went inside. There's no one here. Then I went up the stairs to his room.
“You have a fever?” I asked Hart who was lying lethargic on his bed. “Maybe.” reply slowly. “Looks like you're exhausted, take a break.” I told him. “Hmm.” replies slowly while closing your eyes, but not yet asleep.
After that I made some warm tea and porridge. After Hart took the medicine, he said something to me.
“Can I ask something?” ask Hart limply.
“What's up?” my reply. “Will you replace me in the race?” the door was really to me. “E—Eh? I'm not good at playing basketball.” I said stammering so surprised. “We are short of people. I believe in you.” Hart said pleading with me.
“Good. When?” many confused.
“Besok.”
“A—What? B—B—Besok?” I was surprised not to play.
