Episode 39: Family Guests
The light of the full moon was clearly visible from inside the window. The stars painted their light on the roof of the auction. My holiday night this time was quite relaxed because the race I was running had ended. Before dinner I played a video game on my portable console while laying on the bed.
Moments later I heard the sound of a house bell ringing. Looks like there will be guests coming in. But I'm sure this must be my brother's friend or my father's co-worker. So I don't think about it much while I keep playing. Shortly after, my sister went into the room and called me.
“Abang, there are guests. Come on down!” take my sister while talking to me who is playing. “A little more done.” I reply seriously to him, but he still bothers me. “Do not block my screen, weh!” I was with my eyes focused towards the screen. I also lost the video game.
“It's important? There will be Mom and Dad.” I said exasperatedly.
“Colah. Not bad if we are incomplete.” concluded my sister seduced me to immediately go down.
“Iya, yes.” I say restrain emotions. Then my sister went out of my room. “Deplace your brother's clothes! Not good when you look like that.” he said.
Then I changed into a more neat outfit. Then I went down the stairs to the living room. Sure enough, it turns out that they are my father's colleagues. I can tell by looking at them.
“Adelard?” call Cassie surprised and confused.
“Loh, Cassie.” I said gawking in disbelief.
“Walah, it turns out you live here. The world is indeed narrow, yes.” said his father Cassie smiled wily. I just returned him a smile while thinking of the confusion. I just remembered the words of her father Cassie who once said that she would visit her coworker's house while taking her family. Turns out my dad and he were co-workers at work.
“Eh? You guys know each other?” tanya ayakhu flabbergasted.
“Yeah... We had dinner together at my house.” replied Cassie's father while scratching his head.
“Wah, brother is brave, yes.” my sister replied. I became angry and embarrassed. “Wait. Means you met before?” ask my dad to be curious. “Iya.” replied Cassie looking down embarrassed and her face flushed red.
“Ekhem. Brother is already big, yes.” throw my sister. I also became misbehaved and immediately made the atmosphere become full of laughter.
“Will play to my room?” pinta my sister took Cassie. Cassie responds to him in embarrassment but is not comfortable resisting him. “Go.” her mother Cassie smiled. “Good.” reply Cassie. Then they both went up to my sister's room. I was still at the table eating dinner and chatting together.
Soon my mother told me to deliver tea to my sister and Cassie.
“Bring this tea up, yes, Nak.” I took her to my sister's room.
When I was not far from the door of the room there was a noise and knocking sounds like goods falling from inside. I was curious and opened the door immediately. I was surprised by my hand still holding the doorknob.
“A—Abang?”
“A—Adelard?” lontar Cassie shames.
“You are already very familiar, yes.” lontarku shocked to the two of them who are posing to grab each other's hair. Then I left them both and closed the door again. Both of them became noisy and tried to chase after me.
“Wait, Adelard! I can explain!” cassie shouted from inside the room.
“Cassie I saw just now was much different than the one I found at school.” My inner self is happy.
