Episode 61: Practice the Sword

Indigo horizon, thin clouds and wind that blows smooth shaking leaves and rice fields, plants, and the scorching bright kirana rays warm this small town like the tropics even in the middle of winter on this four-season mainland peninsula.

Milard and I, who had just left the shack house, were dismissed by an old man and surprised him with words that came out of his mouth.

“I can teach you guys,” Sontak we both made in shock.

“Really?” milard didn't believe it. Then the grandfather took out a sharp iron sword and threw it right beside me. Our feathers immediately stood goosebumps.

“A—Ap—What's okay?” continue to fear.

“I forced you. So do not hesitate,” said grandfather. Me and Milard then just followed it while trembling uneasily.

“Not to be afraid. I was just talking, kok,” lontarannya smile grimly. I don't think with the direction of his thinking. “Throwing the sword is considered a joke?” I almost died knowing!” my inner. After we gathered, the grandfather asked us.

“So, you two are in that match?”

“No, Cake. It's just Adelard. I'm not coming,” replied Milard anxiously. The incident made me forget to introduce myself.

“Oh yes. Please introduce my name Adelard. And this is my friend, Milard.”

“Salam. My name is Wymer,” reply grandfather.

“Jadul once his name,” muttered me in the heart.

“Alright then. I will still teach you both how to use the sword. Think of it as martial arts practice,” explains Wymer. We both replied with a smile.

“Before that, I wanted to show it to you,” he said gallantly even though his skin and appearance no longer showed the same thing.

He also showed his shrewdness swinging a sword. His already unfriendly physique did not make him lose the spirit of his youth. His skills showed him as

a formidable royal warrior. Until finally he showed all the discipline he knew.

“Although almost seven-headed, but the cleverness of my hand never changed.”

During his show we were not exhausted with amazement at him. Then we commended his skills.

“Wah, Grandpa is great,” praise Milard unnerved.

“Don't call me Grandpa. Call my name only,” reply.

“Alright, please cooperate with him, Wymer,” I said smiling at him.

“Then we will fight, so that I may know the way you use the sword. Take this wooden sword.” Then we started fighting two-on-one with Wymer.

Milard and I ran to attack Wymer, but all of our attacks were able to be repelled by him. He has not attacked us at all. Until he finally made his turn.

“Alright, now it's my turn!” her screams blazing. Then we were both paralyzed instantly with just one attack. The strong sword swing was unable to hold and we ended up falling to the ground. Just a few minutes left us gasping for fatigue.

“I've recognized your swords. Now it's time to practice! I'll teach you some pretty easy techniques for you to follow. If you are able to in a short time, I will add the level of difficulty,” said Wymer immediately pulled us exercise even though breathing was not regular.

“Come show your men attitude!” cetus Wymer provokes our spirit.

“Huft... Huft... Alright!” sahutku confirmed the breathing groove with a blazing fire.

Within an hour we learned the basic techniques he taught. Thus Wymer also raised the level of difficulty of the techniques we will learn next.

“Then now we will enter the middle level,” he said. I who will take part in the fighting must not let this fire go out. “Sip! Let's continue!” But in contrast to Milard who looked tired and asked for time to rest for a moment. Then Wymer allowed it and then Wymer and I continued to train together.

“Now I will show you the technique Ictospetum,” said Wymer then showed the technique. I, who did not understand the name he had just called, asked him.

“Iktos—What is it?”

“Ictospetum is the name for the technique of avoiding attacks by stepping backward or to the side of the opponent, then counterattacking the opponent,” he explained while giving an example.

After that, I tried the technique I just observed. Milard who had finished resting then re-joined us. Then our practice continued until the sun rose from the horizon roof. The day starts late afternoon.

“Thank you so much for teaching us knowledge that we will not necessarily get again,” I said lowered my head with Milard to Wymer. Wymer replied with a joke.

“Don't be that dramatic. You can visit me anytime.”

“Let's go to the arena,” he added again invite us.

“Eh? You coming too?” milard asked confusedly.

“Of course. I want to see the prowess of my students in the fight later. Anyway twice a year event is impossible for me to miss,” he replied.

Then we went to the arena fighting together. During the journey I prepared myself for confidence and a burning spirit. I firmly convinced myself.

“I have to show my best results later!”
