Alex was out of the way when a doctor came in with two nurses. He anxiously watched as his wife was examined and given medication by injection. His heart was very angry and anxious. What if Kinara can't get through this critical phase? What if the trauma experienced by his wife settles forever? What's he supposed to do? Question after question swirling in his head made Alex feel desperate.
Is this what she felt when I was treated? Feelings of sadness and helplessness.
“How is it?” alex asked when he saw the doctor had finished taking care of his wife.
“The physical injury is not too severe, it's just .. his psychic condition is quite shaken. I've given her a sedative to help the Madam rest. The nurse will come in every two hours to check on her condition. “
“Good.”
The doctor and nurse nodded at a glance before walking out of the room. Alex went back to Kinara's bed, looking at his wife who had fallen asleep without blinking. All the suffering of the girl was caused by him. No matter how hard he tried to protect his wife, there was always a gap that the girl was injured. What's he supposed to do?
“How is it?”
Alex jumped up and turned around quickly.
“Billy?” call him with a slightly surprised face.
“I knocked on the door since, but you didn't answer.” Billy raised his right hand which was holding a bouquet of lily flowers and walked over to Alex.
In an instant Alex regained his composure and returned Billy's gaze. He knew why his best friend dared to come here. His enemy must have known his condition that he could see and walk. Goody. He doesn't have to hide it from Billy anymore, no need to tell him to stay away from him. However, isn't the assistant trying to outsmart his chip with Ana's doctor? Have they succeeded?
“Is Kinara okay?”
After pulling deeply, Alex restores her hair with a rough look and replies, “His physique is fine, not with his mental state.”
“I empathize for you both ..” Billy said as he patted his best friend's shoulder. She placed a bouquet of flowers on the table, and stood beside Alex.
“How about the project I told you to complete?” ask Alex. He knows, Billy must know what project he's referring to.
Billy shook his head slowly while showing an expression full of regret. “The project is too difficult. I need extra time,” he replied.
“Time is something we don't have, man. You know that,” Alex said in a weak-sounding voice.
Actually the physical condition of the man is not too good. Ana's doctor had warned her not to do strenuous activities. But how can he remain silent when his wife's life is threatened? Now the pain began to reach his feet, like the tendrils from hell that queue pain and heat. His bones were pulsing with pain. He had endured the pain since then, but the night air had made things worse. The pain medication he took an hour ago was only able to disguise the pain without actually relieving it. He pulled a chair closer to the bed, then sat down and looked at his wife's face. That plain face looked very calm. His regular breathing made Alex feel relaxed.
“I know,” sigh Billy slowly after thinking long enough and can not find a reply sentence that can strengthen his best friend.
Actually, it's not that he didn't try. The pain when Ana's doctor makes her unconscious in various ways, then hypnotizing and trying to dig up information really makes her head like a godam. Even so, there have been no meaningful results until now. To be honest, he was quite surprised when he found out Alex had been able to walk and see again. He also knew what reason his best friend had kept everything from him, but now. They have to start over from the beginning. Or .. should he sacrifice Elizabeth? Seeing her fiance also being tortured made her almost lose her mind. If this continues, they could all lose their lives or end up in a mental hospital.
”Go home and rest. I'll take care of him,” Billy said after being silent for quite a while.
“Alex?” call Billy and turn his head when he doesn't hear the answer.
He took a deep breath when he saw that his friend had fallen asleep. His head rested on Kinara's waist, while one of his hands gently wrapped around his wife's fingers. With a smile, Billy pulled out his cell phone from his pants pocket and took a picture of the couple secretly.
“You really turned one hundred and eighty degrees, Buddy,” muttered Billy while staring at the results of his phone camera shots, “I'll tease him when he wakes up later.”
Billy takes a blanket and covers the shoulders of his best friend. He turned off the lights before walking out. A faint smile fell on his face as he left the hospital. There was at least one of them who felt the beauty of love in the midst of all this chaos.

A man was sneaking around in the dark hallway. Sometimes he turned his head and looked at the quiet streets behind him vigilantly. For almost two weeks he has been living, moving from one place to another every two hours. He had to keep moving if he didn't want those people to catch him. He could not remember the last time he ate or cleaned himself properly. The wounds all over his body started to become inflamed as it was not treated properly. I don't know, it feels like an endless escape.
Clontang!
The loud noise from behind his body made the bespectacled man jump into the bushes. He did not care about the pain of being scratched by a broken branch. He had felt being followed since entering the city border this afternoon. That's why he didn't try to find a place to rest. Continuously forced his leg to step even though his bones were almost broken. He did not dare to hitch a ride on a passing vehicle because it was too risky.
His tracking device could not send a signal for help. The gun's out of ammunition. The money supply is also over. He has not sold his watch yet, the only valuable item left on his body. Complete already. Now he is hungry, thirsty, exhausted, and alone. He felt like an old lion being hunted by a horde of hyenas.
The man lowered his body to nearly level with the ground when he heard the clattering of footsteps flashed right in front of his face. Apparently he was right, the bunch of hyenas had not been willing to let go.
“Think old lion, think ...,” whispered the man to himself.
He knows, this time the possibility of escaping is not up to five percent. That means he must not die in vain. He had to contact someone and tell them his discovery and hope that his partner could solve this complicated problem.
After taking a breath and taking a swing, the man jumped up and climbed upwards like a squirrel. His feet rested lightly on the balcony and stepped over the guardrail. With great care, he pushed the glass window slightly open.
Goody. Not locked.
“Who is it?”
The man's body froze when he heard a fairly hoarse baritone sound. Very slowly, the man raised both hands. He set his heart rate that had jumped to return to normal. He did not expect the owner of the house is still awake this late. He gulped when he saw a man with the head of a pellet approaching him with a long rifle.
“Sir, I am not a thief. I'd just like to borrow your phone. There are bad guys chasing me,” the man said as he began to kneel.
“Stop that crap and get out of here before I blow your head off!”
“You can fire that thing when I finish calling. Please ...”
The bald man wearing only boxer pants was approaching. Their distance is now only about three meters. Without warning, the tattered-clothed man who looked more like a vagabond rolled towards the host and snatched away his weapon. The bald-headed man trembled as the muzzle of the weapon had changed hands without even realizing it.
“Master, I just want to borrow a phone. Justjust please. Our time is not much.”
“T-wait a minute,” replied the owner of the house with a stuttering voice, then hurriedly entered his room. Shortly thereafter, the man returned with a cell phone in his hand.
“Thank you,” said the bespectacled man, received the phone extended towards him with joy, “There is another phone? Please contact the police and find a hiding place.”
The owner of the house nodded quickly, then turned around and was about to go back inside the room.
“Wait. Bring this just in case. Sorry to involve you in this mess.”
The bald man stared in disbelief at the uninvited guest who visited his house in the middle of this blind night. He almost jumped backwards when the strange man in front of him thrust his weapon in front of his chest. Somehow, he believed in the strange man's words.
“B-good. No problem,” he said before entering the room and locking the door.
The bespectacled man pressed down on several sets of numbers, then waited for a connecting tone.
“Halo?”
The voice from the connection across there sounded hoarse. Unknowingly, the bespectacled man revealed a gentle smile.
“Lorie? It's me.”
“Ken?! Where are you? What happened?“ cecar Lorie after recognizing the voice of her interlocutor.
“Sst. Hear. I don't have much time so listen to me carefully. There's an intruder in the group. My location can't be found, can it? It's intentional. He leaked my position to those people, but kept it a secret to you. I should always move. You know there's only two people who have that access. Find him before endangering sir.“
“Where is your position? I will ..”
“Have not had time.”
“... fetch you.”
“Andromeda Corporation, it's just camouflage. You will not find the database anywhere because the real name is–“
Dor's!
The gunshots broke the night. A gripping silence in the air. Seconds by seconds was slow and painful.
“Ken ..?” lorie whispered in a voice almost resembling a whisper. He felt afraid. Either because his hoarse and lonely voice was immersed in the night air, or because there was no answer from the other end. The girl's tears were dripping down profusely as rustling sounds mixed with the dragging sound rang out clearly from her phone.
The girl stared at the screen for a few seconds before typing a short message and sending it to Alex.
03 was killed. He is gone. Confirmed.
