After getting permission from Alex to accompany Lorie, Raymond actually stayed inside the treatment room the entire time. He only goes if he has to go to the bathroom or find food. The doctors and nurses even memorized what time the man came and what time he returned to the apartment provided by Alex Smith.
Had it not been for his cooperative attitude, perhaps Alex Smith had already cancelled his permit because Raymond had always been there when he came to visit. Fortunately, the man knew himself well enough. Sometimes he comes out of the patient's room when Alex and Billy come, sometimes accompanying them to chat for a while and discuss the development of Lorie's condition.
“You know, I feel like an older brother watching his sister's future girlfriend,” Billy whispered to Alex. He glanced at Raymond who was sitting on the side of Lorie's bed while reading a book.
Alex's lips lifted at a glance. “I also feel that way,” reply.
Billy was quite surprised by Alex's response. He thought the man would hit him in the head or say he was stupid, instead of agreeing with his statement just now.
“Do you think they will date?” ask again.
“No. Raymond is engaged.”
“Oh. Then, why ... gosh, do you think they slept together?” billy whispered with a voice getting louder. A second later, the sound of a fairly loud punch echoed within the room, making Raymond gasp and turn his head towards them.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Alex, Mr. Billy,” said as he placed the book on the nightstand and approached the two men.
“Sore,” reply Billy. He pursed his lips towards Alex while rubbing his shoulder that had just been hit.
Did he speak wrongly? Men and women cannot be that close without any relationship. If not lovers, at least because they have slept together. His best friend is too innocent. Huh!
“How is it?” ask Alex.
“Cracks in his ribs have improved, as well as shins and bruises in his internal organs. Everything is almost recovered, about 90 percent. It was all thanks to Doctor Ana. He's really great. I want to study with him,” Raymond replied with a big smile.
The development of Lorie recovery is very rapid in just a period of 12 days. Even with such severe injuries, it will at least take at least one to two months to recover. Fortunately with his qualifications as a doctor, he was allowed to follow Lorie's progress every day. It made him very relieved because there was no need to wonder about the state of Lorie at any time.
“Very good. Very good ...” Billy smiled with satisfaction while nodding his head.
“Are you not tired?” ask Alex.
“No. Not tired at all,” replied Raymond.
“Does your fiancee not mind?” This time Billy asked.
Raymond looked presumptuous as he replied, “No, he is very understanding. Don't worry.”
“Truly very understanding,” replied Billy with a little sarcastic tone in his speech, making Raymond look even more condescending.
“Maybe he will follow here if he is free,” added Raymond.
Hearing that remark, not only Billy, even Alex raised his eyebrows while staring at Raymod.
“Yes. Our room was next door at the hotel. Alice met him several times.”
“Oh ...” Billy's face looked disappointed. Pupus already ...His guess about the two of them sleeping together seems wrong.
“Ah, then .. please, Sir. I just wanted to go out to buy lunch. Do you two want to eat something too?” bargain Raymond.
Billy waved his hand at Raymond as he said, “No .... no. We already ate before coming here. You go.”
“Good. I go first.” Raymond bowed to give his greetings before walking out.
“Still think they slept together?” alex quipped after Raymond's back was not seen again.
Billy's lips pursed. “Who knows? Could've snuck when her fiancee—Auh! Alex! I could get a concussion if you keep beating!”
“Let your dirty brain return to normal function,” Alex replies while walking to the side of Lorie's bed.
“Then why was he so adamant to wait until Lorie came to her senses? It was a little unnatural not to have any relationship, what else they had just met again after ..*um*, almost eight years. Do you think that makes sense?”
“Why is it so busy taking care of other people's business?” reply Alex while glancing sharply. “They're not little kids anymore, let them finish it by themselves when Lorie comes to her senses. As long as he doesn't hurt Lorie, then watch your mouth.”
Billy rubbed the former face of Laex on his head with a pouting face.
“I don't want to take care of other people's business, just curious,” grunt slowly.
What difference?
Alex snorted and did not care about his best friend anymore. He called the doctor on duty at the time and asked for a detailed report of Lorie's progress. After confirming that the doctor's speech was more or less the same as what Raymond said earlier, Alex invited Billy to return to the office.
