Substitute Bride For Young Master

Substitute Bride For Young Master
Chapter 29's

When Raymond's plane arrived at New York City's airport, the clock on his phone screen showed 11:00 local time. He immediately walked out of the arrival gate and ordered an airport taxi to take him to Broocklyn City. Fortunately he had a short nap during the flight from Venice, otherwise he could have fainted in the middle of the road

Raymond opened his phone and read a message sent by Alex Smith before he boarded the plane nine hours ago.

Kings County Hospital. 8 Floor.

Throughout the journey his mind was back to branch. Anxious at the thought of Lorie's state as well as anxious about the woman's reaction when she met him. Overly focused on his thoughts, the man almost jumped out of the chair when his phone suddenly rang. He stared at the name on the screen of the phone with nanar.

Alice.

Raymond was so shocked that he was dumbfounded until his ringtone stopped without being lifted. When the phone screen turned back on, he immediately touched the green circle that appeared before the ringtone could be heard.

“Alice?” call him in a voice that sounds a little doubtful.

The man did not expect Alice to contact him first. He thought ...The relationship really can't be fixed anymore, but suddenly the woman called him like this ....

“*Where are you*?”

“I ... just arrived in New York.”

Raymond suddenly did not know what else to say. His tongue feels ugly. The thoughts that were so much in his cranium seemed to evaporate just like that. His brain was suddenly empty, completely unwilling to cooperate even though he had already forced to think of the best way to persuade Alice.

“*Still about Lorie*?” alice asked after only hearing Raymond's roar of breath in her ear for a few minutes.

“It ... she is being treated in the hospital, Alice. I want to see him ...”

“*He's more important than me? From the relationship we've built over these three years, Raymond? You seriously*?”

“I feel responsible—“

“*On what basis? Was it you who got her kidnapped and hospitalized*?”

Raymond pinched his temple and sighed.

“It's not like that, honey. You know I only love you, never once have I done anything that fucked or hurt you. Why are you so selfish and childish?”

“*I'm selfish and childish?! Selfishly said*?!”

Alice's tone of voice rose by several octaves. Raymond could even see that his fiancee was now walking back and forth, maybe she was still in the dressing room or dressing room, maybe throwing some things out of annoyance.

“Please understand me just this one time, dear. I swear, once I see him, I'll catch up with you soon. Okay?”

This time Raymond could hear Alice take a deep breath and exhale loudly. The woman did so several times until her breathing finally calmed down.

“*I called you to fix our relationship, Raymond. I really want this to go well for both of us*.”

“I know. I really appreciate it, Dear ... thank you ..”

“Alice ...”

“*Apply*.”

Raymond clenched his hands tightly before replying, “Good, I promise.”

“*Good. Maybe I'll catch up after the show in Boston finishes*.”

“OK. Take good care of yourself. I love you.”

“*Hum. I love you*.”

Raymond hung back and stared at her phone even though Alice had already cut off her phone call. The man's forehead frowned deeply, as if he was thinking of an extremely strange and complicated matter. As she recalled, Alice had never behaved like this before. In the past the girl was so sweet and cute .. never demanded anything even though they rarely met because of each other's busyness. However, now he seemed to be looking at a different Alice ... Alice was so selfish and arrogant.

Or, perhaps all this time he had turned a blind eye to the bad nature of his lover?

“Master, we've arrived.”

“Oh.”

The man opened his wallet and paid for the taxi fare, then got off and dragged his suitcase into the hospital courtyard. He looked for the elevator and headed straight for the eighth floor.

Two ....

Four ....

Seven ....

Raymond felt suffocated. He unbuttoned his top shirt so he could breathe normally. His heartbeat nearly lost its rhythm as the elevator clang on the eighth floor. He gulped to wet his throat as the door in front of him shifted and opened wide. In one deep breath, the man blocked his *handle* suitcase and pulled the thing out.

“Mr Dawson?”

Raymond looked up when he heard his name called.

“Ya?”

“Mari, come with me. Mr. Alex is already waiting for you.”

Raymond looked at the dapperly-tuned man before him at a glance, then nodded and followed him from behind. For a moment he questioned whether his decision to come to that place was correct.
