Raymond could not remember how he returned to the airport, nor could he remember the whole process until he got in and sat on the plane. His body is taken over by his subconscious and operates on auto pilot.
It felt like there were thousands of fireworks exploding simultaneously inside his cranium, disrupting all of his nervous system. His mind was only filled with Alice and Lorie. The whole series of events of the last two months came to the surface, one after another ... tormenting him in such a way that it felt like he wanted to destroy whatever was before him.
She loved Alice. Or he thought like that. He loved that woman very much. Alice is gentle and sweet ....
They met in the ER when the woman was food-poisoned and dying from her weakened heartbeat. Fortunately, Raymond managed to take the right action to save his life. Since then, the relationship between the two of them became more intense, then officially became a couple two months later.
Because the busyness of their respective work makes them very rarely able to meet, it is also what makes Raymond very pamper his lover. However, now .. he could not even recall what he had just seen with his own eyes a few hours ago.
The man ... Lucas, almost his father's age! Totally disgusting.
Raymond covered his face with both hands and let out a loud sigh. He could not imagine if yesterday he gave up and slept with Alice, would the woman admit that the baby she was carrying now belonged to him?
It was a cruel and immoral trick. Raymond could not tolerate it at all.
“Sir, are you okay?”
“Uh?” Raymond opened his eyes in a daze.
“Oh .. good. Um, can you please get me some coffee?” he murmured again when he saw a flight attendant standing and smiling in front of him.
“Good. Wait a minute.”
The flight attendant rushed off to pick up what her passengers were asking for. To be honest he had been a little anxious since he saw the man enter the plane. His face looked like he was in pain. Thankfully, it was just her excessive worry. The flight attendant swiftly carried a tray of coffee and returned to Raymond's seat.
“Please, Sir. If there is anything, please call me,” he said while smiling sweetly.
“Thank you, Miss.” Raymond accepted his coffee and nodded at a glance.
After the woman left, Raymond blew on the surface of the glass and took a sip of its contents slowly. He really needs caffeine to help keep his consciousness awake for the rest of the trip. Obviously he won't be able to sleep anymore. How could he close his eyes after having nightmares that might haunt him for life?
His heart and conscience felt very guilty towards Alice for weeks, in addition to his guilt towards Lorie of course. He could not do his job well because he felt he had tarnished his relationship with Alice who was about to enter the marriage stage. But look what's happening now.
Alice is pregnant with another boy.
Lorie's somewhere.
Goody.
Real nice.
Unknowingly a grin that looked more like a cynical sneer appeared on Raymond's face. If anyone deserves to be ridiculed and laughed at, it's him. He was so stupid that he was played like this.
Raymond gasped and looked at the already cold coffee in the glass. Apparently he only sipped the liquid once and did not touch the rest again. He looked at the glass in a bit of surprise.
How long does he dream?
“There can I help you, Sir?”
The flight attendant who asked Raymond for a question and made him coffee came back and stood in front of the man. It seemed that he was really anxious to see Raymond's slightly focused appearance.
No, the man had indeed been unfocused since entering the plane. He was unfocused and appeared dazed during the trip from Italy to New York City.
“I'm fine,” Raymond replied as he stood up to pick up his suitcase. “Thank you for your help, Miss.”
The man then mingled with the crowd and got off the plane. His thick eyebrows curved like an arrow bow, clinging to his forehead giving off a grim impression. Several times he bumped into the person he was running into, also nearly slipping while riding the escalator towards the wrong floor.
The sound of the conversation mixed with the announcement from the loudspeaker made him even more influential and nauseous. He stopped at the toilet and vomited until only a sour and bitter liquid came out of his stomach.
When all the frenzy was finally over, Raymond Dawson stood in a daze in front of the main gate of the Smith Family residence. He realized when a servant greeted him and asked him who he was going to meet.
“Is Miss Lorie inside?” ask her in a hoarse voice while staring at the waiter expectantly. No matter where the question came from, he himself did not understand. That's ... just say it.
The servant who saw the chaotic appearance of the man before him felt a little pity. Of course he knew Lorie because he had worked in the Spring Mountains for almost half his life. However, Mr. Alex has also advised that they do not just talk to people who are looking for Lorie.
“Sorry, you are?” tanyakanya.
“Raymondd. Raymond Dawson.”
The waiter immediately contacted Alex through the intercom and informed him what had happened. A second later, his pity-filled facial expression turned flat.
“Sorry, you are not welcome here, Mr. Dawson. Please go,” said the waiter with an intonation as cold as his facial expression.
Raymond swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. His forehead is getting deeper. A wry smile appeared at the corner of his lips. He turned and left without saying anything else.
If it was meant to be like this, yes it is. Maybe it was her bad luck.
