Substitute Bride For Young Master

Substitute Bride For Young Master
The Extra Part 3

Thunderous thunder boomed in the sky, the cloudy cloud that had been lingering since yesterday finally spilled its entire charge. Drops of water hit the roofs of buildings loudly, making a sound that made three little boys in Alex's arms shrivel in fear. Amber infiltrated her father's armpits and covered her face with both hands. His behavior made Alex's heart feel warm and sad. Her little daughter was really similar to Kinara.

“Daddy, I'm afraid,” muttered Amber while pulling Alex's hand to hold her tighter.

“Shhh .. relax, Sweetheart. You are safe here,” Alex replied as he patted his daughter's back.

Aslan da Aaron approached, flanking their sisters from the right and left. Aslan leaned near his sister, while Aaron kissed the girl's cheek.

“Yeah, Daddy's right. You don't have to be afraid. We will take care of you,” Aaron said with a serious look on his face.

Inevitably Alex grinned at the behavior of his son. Again take on the nature of their loving and caring mother. Alex spread out his arms wide and hugged the three four-year-old boys. He circulated the views of the entire main hall which was still filled with decorations, colorful balloons, various ribbons and various cakes.

They had just celebrated a birthday party with the servants and some close relatives, then this damn rain decided to ruin all the fun. Amber who was afraid of lightning screamed hysterically as a very bright flash of light struck the east gate and gave rise to a deafening sound. So, here they were now, gathered on the sofa, trying to calm the little girl down.

Billy, Elizabeth, and Lorie were still conversing while enjoying a snack. Ana's doctor has gone home because there is something to take care of at the headquarters. Alex was happy because the woman was reliable. All of his experiments never disappointed. He turned his gaze to Elizabeth's growing belly.

Alex is also happy because Billy will soon become a father after three years of marriage. Unfortunately, Kinara could not attend Billy and Elizabeth's wedding, but Billy was arguably one of Kinara's best friends. Billy who used to defend Kinara when Alex was outrageous to his late wife. Alex let out a long sigh, again everything reminded him of Kinara. It's always like that.

“Hey, Buddy, what are you thinking?” billy asked as he sat in front of Alex.

“Nothing,” replied Alex quickly while gnawing a few times.

Billy smiled faintly, knowing clearly that Alex was trying to hide his feelings, as he always did. Soon, Elizabeth and Lorie approach and take the children to their room.

“Aunty has a very interesting new game,” said Elizabeth, “Who would like to come?”

“I! Me!” aslan and Aaron together.

“Come, Honey,” invite Lorie while reaching out to Amber who is still a little timid. He leaned over and grabbed the sweet girl in his arms.

“We will play on top, Sir,” Lorie said as she carried Amber and walked away.

Aslan and Aaron sprint small by Elizabeth's side excitedly, occasionally chattering about what they felt on their birthday. Alex watches them turn on the second floor, then turns and looks at Billy. He knew his best friend would want to talk about something important, otherwise it would be impossible for the children to be taken away by Lorie and Elizabeth.

“What's up?” alex asked after the servants had moved away from them.

Billy took a deep breath before saying what he had been thinking for some time. He had already discussed it with Elizabeth and Lorie. The two women agreed, though did not support him too much. However, he felt he still had to convey it to Alex.

Finally Billy cleared his throat softly and said, “I know what I'm going to say this must sound annoying, but ... do you really not want to consider remarrying? Kids need mom, you need someone to—“

“I'm just—“

“I know. Thanks for your attention, but we're fine. The kids don't need a surrogate mother, I don't need another woman. We don't need anybody. It will stay like this until I die.”

The gripping silence suddenly felt stifling. Billy exhaled slowly. This is more stressful than when he had to negotiate with the mafia.

“Never say this kind of thing again. You understand?” alex said while looking intently at his best friend.

“I understand. Sorry, I just ...”

Tension slowly searches for Alex when he wakes up and pats his best friend on the shoulder.

“Thank you. I'll be gone for a minute. Please watch the kids for a bit,” Alex said before walking away.

Billy reached out and tried to stop his friend. He knew exactly where the man was going. However, he knows he won't be able to change Alex's intentions, so in the end he just lets her walk out.

Alex grabbed the bouquet of flowers he had prepared on the table and received the umbrella propped up by the maid. The rain and the wet ground did not block his long and determined steps towards the hill, towards where his wife was resting quietly.

Indeed, if it were not for his very small children, he would have asked God to immediately bring him to Kinara alone. His heart throbbed pain when he saw water splashing on the marble tombstone. His sense of longing never lessened in the slightest.

There were so many complaints in his heart. There was so much he wanted to tell his wife. However, suddenly his tongue suddenly twisted.he was only glued in front of Kinara's tomb to not realize the handle of the umbrella had been separated from his hand.

“Baby, how could I possibly find another woman to be the mother of our children? You know Billy's just talking, right? I will never do his stupid advice,” Alex said in a hoarse voice.

His vision blurred, either because of rain or because he was no longer able to stem the puddle of water in his eyes. His hands trembled slightly as he placed the flower arrangement on top of the tomb.

“Kinara Lee, in my heart. It will stay that way until anytime. Even if I was dead later, or in the life to come .. only you will I remember. You believe that, don't you?" alex murmured among the raindrops that hit the trees.

"I love you, Baby. Forgive me this useless .. I .. I really love you .. only you. There will never be another.”

Alex groaned loudly, trying to endure the pain that hit his heart. That sense never really went away from him, anger. Never one second did he go through the day without regretting all his mistakes, his mistakes, his delays, his stupidities ….

“Baby, wait for me .. I'll find you. I will definitely find you ...”

The promise echoed among the tops of the pine trees, sounding clear despite the increasingly heavy rain. The promise that Alex always said every time he visited Kinara's tomb. The promise he hoped could penetrate into the sky, knocking on the Creator's heart to give him a second chance.
