Substitute Bride For Young Master

Substitute Bride For Young Master
Chapter 75's

Daniel smiled in satisfaction as he saw Lorie nodding and agreeing to his proposal. Excitedly he helped Lorie sit in a wheelchair, then pushed the woman out of the room. He pushed Lorie along the hallway to the park at the back of the hospital, a special place that is provided so that patients can sunbathe or do light exercise.

The change of atmosphere made Lorie's face look more blushing and fresh. To be honest, he was indeed very tired of being cooped up for a dozen days inside the treatment room.

“Thank you for taking me out,” he said in a voice loud enough to be heard by Daniel.

Daniel's eyes sparkled and were filled with a dazzling light. It was rare for Lorie to be so gentle with him.

“If you like, I will take you around every day. Just say, you want to go where.”

Lorie chuckled at that ridiculous answer.

“Are you not taking care of your work? What kind of CEO just drowsiness and teasing women?” his reply.

“You don't worry about that. I am so competent that I can work and pursue my women at one time,” Daniel replied with great arrogance.

Now Lorie really wanted to get up and snap at that shameless man's head. However, before the intention was carried out, the brink of shadow caught by the tail of his eyes stunned him for a moment. Although a little hesitant, the figure that had just stepped out of the elevator in the right aisle looked familiar, making Lorie's heart seem to move down her throat.

“What's up, Honey?” daniel asked as he turned to the direction Lorie was looking at. Since there were many people passing by, he could not guess what made Lorie appear dazed.

“Quickly a little,” murmured Lorie. He turned his face forward and sat upright like wood.

“Good.”

Daniel pushed Lorie a little faster. From the movements of the woman who was suddenly anxious and nervous, at least she could guess that she had just seen someone she knew but did not want to meet.

Did Raymond?

Daniel's eyebrows are tied in the forehead. In such a situation, it would be very annoying if he had to meet his love rival.

“Lorie!”

Lorie's body stiffened upon hearing a familiar voice calling out her name. A split second later, he said, “Don't turn!”

Daniel complied without much questioning and quickened his footsteps. However, before they arrived at the end of the hall, someone was already standing in front of the wheelchair. Daniel looked at the figure with a clear-cut dislike expression. There was even an aura of hostility emanating from his body upon seeing the man crouching before Lorie.

“This is right you,” muttered Raymond who did not know to laugh or cry because he was happy.

Not only was his voice trembling, almost his entire body was trembling. Finally, just as he was about to give up, when he had no idea what else to do, Lorie appeared before him like a dream.

Lorie bit her lips tightly as an uneasy feeling rippled within her stomach. Like there was a whirlwind roaring and rummaging through his chest arbitrarily. Suddenly he regretted the decision to go out for fresh air. At once he saw the bandages and casts covering Raymond's left arm, but he chose not to comment on anything.

“Who are you, Sir? Why bother my future wife?” Daniel who first opened his voice because he saw Lorie did not intend to respond to the stranger at all.

Wife-to-be?

“I ...”

Raymond was silent for a moment because he did not know what to answer. He swallowed a spit that suddenly felt like a lump of sand. He looked at Lorie fixedly, as if he wanted to find an answer to the statement just now. However, Lorie's facial expression did not change in the slightest. He did not deny or justify the remark so Raymond did not know how to behave.

“I am his friend.” In the end, that was all Raymond could say. His forehead frowned as if he was enduring the pain.

“It looks like my future wife doesn't want to talk to you. If nothing else, we'll go.”

“Wait!” Raymond jumped to his feet and held back the wheelchair that Lorie had occupied. “I .. I need to talk to him. Can you leave us both for a moment?”

“I don't want to talk to you,” interrupted Lorie with a flat intonation, not detected any emotion in it.

“Lorie .. I just—“

“You heard yourself he doesn't want to talk, why force?” reprove Daniel. He watched Raymond closely, then sneered inwardly because in any case, he was clearly superior to the man.

Lorie looked tired from that little disagreement. He took a breath and adjusted his messy heartbeat before saying, “If you continue like this, Alice could misunderstand. I don't want to disturb your relationship. Is that clear enough?”

“I've parted with him,” Raymond's reply quickly.

Lorie froze. He looked up and wanted to find seriousness in Raymond's speech. Is that guy lying to her? Just two months ... didn't they say they wanted to speed up the marriage process? Why change direction 180 degrees like this?

There were so many questions in Lorie's mind, but in the end she just said, “Then why? Does it have anything to do with me?”

“....”

Raymond didn't know what to say. He wants to make it clear that there is no one among them now. However, when he turned around and found the man behind Lorie glaring at him, he undoed the intention.

Daniel who was feeling riled up immediately pushed Lorie away. He deliberately nudged Raymond's shoulder hard as he walked past. A little childish indeed, but at least it could reduce his sense of unease.

Meanwhile Raymond who was left just like that had a feeling that he had just been robbed. His most precious treasure had just been taken away right in front of his face, but he could do nothing.

It feels very painful ....
