Substitute Bride For Young Master

Substitute Bride For Young Master
Chapter 103: Will not let you escape

“Tuan.”

Alex looked at the source of the voice. A nurse stood about two meters to his left. Seeing the woman looking at him seriously, the warning alarm in Alex's head instantly lit up.

“What's up? My wife okay?”

“Your wife is fine. He just kept saying he wanted to go home, so I called Rebecca's doctor. Please talk about it directly with the doctor,” replied the nurse with a smile.

“Where is doctor Rebecca?”

“She waits for you in the room mistress Kinara.”

“Good.”

Alex galloped along the hospital hallway, pushed the door in a slight hurry and approached the doctor standing by his wife's side.

“Doctor, how is it?”

“The recovery is pretty good. If the lady insists on going home, it's okay. But it must be monitored so that the drug is taken regularly.”

“So ...” Alex turned to his wife who was pretending to be asleep and refused to realize her whereabouts, then again said, “Alright. When can we go home?”

“If you are ready, now you can.”

“Good. Thank you, Doctor.”

She smiled at Alex. He corrected his glasses, took a quick glance at Kinara, then gestured for Alex to follow him out. The two stopped at the door. Alex puts both of his hands in his pants pocket and stands opposite the doctor who is treating his wife.

“What's up, Doc?” ask Alex. He felt a little anxious to see Rebecca's doctor who looked quite serious.

“Master, your wife's physical injuries aren't too serious. It will heal in the next two or three days. But my advice is to find a psychiatrist for him. His mental state was completely shaken. Maybe not only because of the events he experienced yesterday, but also because of your sudden recovery. There seem to be many triggers that make your wife depressed. But that's just my guess. Therefore I recommend to talk to someone who is more expert in his field,” explains doctor Rebecca at length.

Alex listens to all of those words and approves them in his heart. Kinara's attitude was triggered by something else, not just because of Jericho's depraved deeds. He knew the girl was strong enough to face the events that had befallen him yesterday. The man nodded. Rebecca's doctor's advice makes perfect sense.

“I understand. Thank you,” Alex said, nodding at a glance.

“May your wife recover soon,” replied Doctor Rebecca and walked away.

Alex went back in and approached his wife. The girl stared at him at a glance, then tilted her body towards the window. Alex took a breath. He went forward and rubbed Kinara's hair very carefully, but still the response was as if the little touch was hurting her until her whole body stiffened.

“Do I scare you?” alex asked in a voice almost like a whisper. His heart really hurt to see the cute and jolly girl now like cloudy in the evening visitors. What can he do to bring his wife's soul back to what it was?

“Do not touch me, please ...”

Kinara's voice was no less shrewd and full of sadness. His little hand pulled the blanket over his shoulder, and then curled up like a baby.

Alex stared at the tiny body in front of him that looked very fragile. As if he exhaled a little more forcefully, the body would have been reduced to ashes. The man's eyelids are heating up. Why did it all turn out like this in just 24 hours? They were like a pair of strangers pushing each other.

“I'll call Lorie to help you get ready. The doctor has allowed you to go home.”

There was no answer even though Alex waited, hoping Kinara would respond even if it was just a murmur or a soft snore. However, until the second the wall clock was clearly heard in his ear, his wife was still unmoved. The painful silence. Alex turned around and walked out. He had to seek help for his wife.

Kinara shifted her body when she heard the sound of the door closing. The tears she had been holding back from earlier were flowing. She really hopes things can return to normal, when she can hug and kiss her husband without burden. But he knew now that it was an impossibility. It's not all the same anymore. It'll never be the same again.

“Kinara, are you okay?” asked Lorie anxiously. He had just entered and was surprised to see Kinara crying sobbing on the bed.

Kinara shrunk the corner of her eyes, then looked up and looked at Lorie who was already standing before her. “Since when did you come? So fast,” murmured.

Lorie smiled clumsyly. He scratched his head that was not itchy. Actually he happened to cross paths with Alex at the door, so he went straight in as soon as Alex asked him to help Kinara get ready. It was simply unexpected that it would be welcomed by a proposal like this.

“Don't tell her that ... if I cry ..” whispered Kinara while turning her eyes to the floor.

“Tenace. It will be our secret both.” Lorie approached and touched Kinara's arm. “Can wake up? I'll get you to the car.”

Kinara nodded. He received Lorie's helping hand and set foot on the floor. The nurse had helped her take a bath before the doctor came to check on her. Now all he wants is to go home. Here, Alex always wanders around and asks her how she is, it really makes her feel uncomfortable. Right now he wants to be alone and contemplate. If Alex keeps going around and trying to touch him and asks him, how can he think clearly?

“Be careful,” said Lorie, “Should I get a wheelchair?”

“I am not disabled,” hiss Kinara while glaring. Why is everyone overreacting? It was as if he had lost some of his bodily functions.

“Sorry,” says Lorie while grinning. He held onto Kinara's shoulders and walked beside her very carefully.

When they came out of the room, a squad of bodyguards were on standby and escorting from behind. Kinara turned to the horde of men in all-black tunes and rolled her eyeballs. Their entourage must look like a mafia group in mourning. The girl stole a glance at the surroundings, looking for a body silhouette that had been deeply memorized by her entire senses. But the figure he was looking for was nowhere. He sighed softly, then took a long breath.

Goody. No need to see it.

A bodyguard opened the car door when Lorie and Kinara arrived in the basement. This time Lorie sat down beside Kinara. He let someone else take the wheel. Alex had advised to take good care of his wife before leaving earlier.

Lorie glanced at Kinara at a glance. Seeing how the girl behaved, he knew why Mr. Alex had walked away from his wife's room with a disheveled face.

“Nara, innocent sir–“

“I know,” between Kinara, “I don't want to talk about it. Please take me home.”

“Good.”

“It's done,” said Lorie while grinning widely, “Capure to heal. I miss your hard head that often troubles me that.”

Kinara smiled faintly. “Thank you. ”

“I'll be on guard outside. Rest.”

Kinara nodded. He stared at Lorie's back until she disappeared behind the door, then lay down and closed her eyes. The smile had disappeared out of nowhere, changing with an expressionless flat face. Even so, the clear fur flowed back from the corners of his eyes, dripping one by one down his cheeks and chin.

It was almost midnight when Alex came home. It smelled quite a pungent smell of alcohol from all over its body. His face was flushed, two buttons were open, his suit was draped over his shoulder. Although his appearance seemed extremely chaotic and careless, he was still able to walk calmly entering the house.

After leaving the hospital, he went straight to the Jotuns Corps, taking care of all the papers for the handover procedure back to his post there. Finally the results of his hard work returned to his hands, even in a state that had almost collapsed. Doesn't matter. He was sure he could revive the company.

Then he went to Anne's grave. Standing in front of that gray headstone for almost half an hour. His first encounter with the girl came when his troops managed to trace the trail of human trafficking in Europe. Hundreds of women were found on cargo ships that were supposed to be transporting goods to the United States. Anne and Lorie were some of the survivors. Alex takes the women to headquarters, galvanizes them militarily and recruits them to undertake secret missions. It was a pity that Anne preferred to end up that way. Yep. Lorie had told her everything, and it made her not know if she should feel sad or disappointed.

The last thing he did was go to see Jericho in prison. Actually he really wanted to crush the brengs*k man's hand. But when he saw one of Jericho's legs that had been amputated, the desire to kill Alex just vanished. Especially when looking at the wound on his temple that seemed to have an infection so that his right eye inflamed, also his dislocated jaw. Jericho really looks like a miserable Frankeinstein monster. Even so, he did not want to be merciful. He had made sure that his cousin would really rot in a prison with maximum security system. Forever.

Then, somehow he could end up in Blue Eyes. Spent every drop of whiskey and wine from his storage shed. Downing bottles of fermented drinks until the stomach feels hot and sore. Billy dragged her away from there.

Alex pushed the door of his room very slowly. He did not press the light switch because he thought his wife was asleep. However, when his eyes pounded on the empty bed, his heart suddenly turned cold. He pressed a circle near the door, making the room instantly bright. His jaw tightened when he saw Kinara was not on the bed. He walked up to the closet and shifted the door. Blank. The girl's clothes were no longer there.

The man walked in a daze out of the room. The lights in the room have gone out. The dim light came from the lights on the porch. With hesitation, Alex stepped foot into the room Kinara had once occupied. He stood at the door, not knowing what to do. Finally, after standing there long enough, Alex pressed his palm against the door leaf.

How could someone feel this way?

His heart was almost blown. Alex sighed, then let his forehead stick to the surface of the door, side by side with his hand. He desperately wanted to go in and hug his girl, pulling all the pain, telling the girl that everything was fine. But ....

Clik.

Alex took a step back when he saw the light escape from under the door. Somehow he could feel his wife had just woken up from her sleep due to a nightmare. He could feel the roar of the girl's breath that was irregular, as well as her entire body that was trembling. All of those shadows gave him more pain than pain when he had to undergo surgery.

The man sharpened his hearing, trying to listen to suspicious movements from inside. He doesn't want his wife to do stupid things.

Blam it!

The sound of the door closing loud enough from inside the room made Alex standby. He looked at the clock that was coiled around his wrist and observed it vigilantly.

One minute.

Two minutes.

Five ....

Alex is getting anxious.

Geck. Geck. Geck.

"Nara?" call him.

Six minutes.

"Near Lee!"

Geck. Geck. Geck.

There's no answer.

Alex took a few steps back, took a swing and smashed into the door with his shoulder.

A one-time.

Bruk!

Twice.

Bruk!

The man caught his breath, standing about two steps away from the door leaf. He raised his feet high, then ....

Brak!

The door is wide open. Without wasting any time, Alex slid towards the bathroom. The hot steam obscured the view, but Alex could still see the silhouette of his wife's body standing under the shower clearly.

Kinara's hand held a towel, rubbing the cloth against her lips and neck firmly. The girl was not even aware of her husband's presence. He continued to rub until Alex thought the surface of his skin would peel off immediately.

"Cinara! Stop that!" alex shouted as he ran towards his wife. He hugged the tiny body tightly. Not letting go even though his wife was struggling with all her might.

I won't let you escape again ....
