Substitute Bride For Young Master

Substitute Bride For Young Master
Chapter 144: Happy for you

The sound of the door opening caught Alex's attention. He turned his head and found Ana's doctor carrying a large bouquet of flowers and a pepper bag. The woman walked in and smiled at Alex.

"How is he doing?" tanyakanya.

"It's better. He was conscious. Just got back to sleep, "Alex replied as he got up from the chair and approached Ana's doctor.

He reached out and said, "Thank you very much. Thanks to you, my wife and children are going through a critical period. I really owe you."

The smile on Ana's face grew wider. He shook Alex's hand tightly and replied, "That's all I can do. For her broken bones I dare not give any action because your wife is pregnant. Certain drugs can be fatal to the fetus."

"No problem. This is more than enough. I'm so grateful."

"It's good to help."

Ana puts the fresh flowers in a vase and gives a little water, then hands the pepper bag in her hand to Alex.

"That's a note from Lorie. I met him downstairs. He was actually guarding this hospital like a guard dog, he simply did not allow any unknown person to approach within a one mile radius," Ana's doctor said as he chuckled softly.

Alex smiled and said, "Yes. He felt very guilty and was devastated to see Kinara's condition. Maybe that's his way of apologizing and atoning for his guilt."

He receives the package offered by Ana's doctor and keeps it in a closet.

Doctor Ana's eyes narrowed as she looked at Alex who was stepping towards her.

"Didn't you do the same? In a hospital of this size there is only one patient. All the doctors were asked to stand by just for your wife. How much compensation do you give to the families of other patients? Is that not too much either?" tanyanya raised one eyebrow.

"Close your mouth and check on my wife" Alex said, "So she was given an injection to strengthen the womb. But you know, I trust you more."

"Ready, Captain," replied Ana's doctor as she pulled her equipment out of the bag.

He began to perform routine checks and then matched them with the numbers listed on the monitor screen. When finished, he removed a syringe and one ampoule of medicine. He looked for a vein in Kinara's arm and injected the liquid.

"This is enough for them. The next injection I will give when the age of the womb enters 18 weeks. I'll keep coming every day to make sure they're okay" he said, cleaning up his equipment.

"good. Thank you." Thank you."

Alex breathed a sigh of relief. It was fortunate that he could still remember to contact Ana when Kinara was transferred to the treatment room. He looked at the woman wearing a casual suit in front of him with an amazed look.

"Oh, by the way, how's Billy doing? I haven't seen him again."

"The progress is pretty fast. The wound on his stomach was almost dry. I've given him supplements for recovery. The point is, you just focus on your wife.okay"

"You're amazing, you know that?" he said sincerely, "How can you master everything so well?"

Doctor Ana replied, "I've loved everything about medicine since I was a child, so I learned everything. Coincidentally my brain is supportive, he can absorb all the information quickly and accurately. So ...."

He shrugged his shoulders and prepared to come out.

"Wait a minute" stop Alex. He took out something similar to a dog tag from his pants pocket and handed the object to Ana's doctor.

"What's this?" asked Ana's doctor while watching the rectangular steel plate in her hand with a probing look. There's a number 05 engraved there.

"Now it's officially yours, empty five. Happy duty."

"Oh."

Ana's doctor stared at her name tag and Alex's face alternated. He rubbed the surface with disbelief. In his eyes, it was more precious than a diamond.

"Thank you," said Ana's doctor earnestly, "I'll do a good job, Captain."

The woman bowed deeply while holding her identification tightly.

Alex stepped forward and patted Ana on the shoulder.

"Together."

"For the first assignment, can I search the Andromeda Corporation's warehouse? I'm really interested in the technology they're trying on Billy. If we can perfect it then the profits gained by the Jotuns Corps can be doubled," he asked with a serious face.

"Do whatever you want. I believe you" Alex replied.

A wide grin adorned the face of Doctor Ana.

"Thank you" he said, "Now I go first. Can't wait to dig up those ruins."

Alex smiled and said, "Go. Have fun."

Doctor Ana stepped out with a cramped face. His footsteps were light and fast. He opened the door and walked out, looking very excited like a hurricane ready to bulldoze anything he encountered.

Alex was just about to walk to the side of Kinara's bed when the sound of a knock on the door reverted his attention. Unlike Ana's doctor who had directly barged in, the knock on the door this time sounded a little hesitant. Alex knew, Lorie would not allow just anyone to climb up to this floor, so it was certain that the figure behind the door was someone she knew.

"Come in."

The sound of knocking stopped. Shortly after, Raymond's face poked out from behind the door. The young man gave a clumsy smile before entering and walked over to Alex.

"Good night, sir," he said, "I hope I'm not interrupting your time."

Alex looked at the young man from the tip of his hair to the tip of his foot, then said, "No. I'm not busy. Come here." Come here."

Alex didn't mind at all knowing Raymond was here to see his wife. At least, he and Kinara were indebted to the young man before him. Raymond managed to stop Kinara's bleeding in time before being taken to the hospital. The young man also managed to minimize the injuries suffered by his wife very well.

Raymond raised his right hand which was holding the pouch.

"I'm bringing you dinner, sir. The food in the hospital must not be very good" he said, handing Alex a bag in his hand.

"Thank you" Alex said as he received the package and placed it on the table.

"He woke up this afternoon. The doctor examined her and gave her medicine. The content is fine too. So, don't worry" he said as he watched Raymond staring nanar into his wife's bed.

"I'm glad he got through his critical period. Really tough woman."

"Yes. He's really tough."

"You guys are really a very compatible couple," Raymond murmured without taking his eyes off Kinara's face, "I'm so envious. He loves you very much, sir. Even when he is angry, he does not stop talking about all things related to you. It was then that I realized that I really had no chance at all."

Raymond gasped, as if awakening from his long sleep. He looked at Alex nervously and said, "Um, excuse my guts, sir. I didn't mean to-"

"Thank you for taking care of it so well" Alex said. He did not want to make Raymond feel guilty for feelings he could not control.

Alex patted the young man's arm and said, "He will definitely be very grateful to you. Come over for dinner when he's been allowed to go home."

"That's .. um, same, sir. Regarding dinner, I'm a little worried about not being able to grant it." Raymond looked back at Kinara with a sad look. "I've filled out the form as a volunteer in the Middle East, most likely two weeks away."

He looked at Alex again and said, "Take care of him. Give my regards to her."

Alex was silent for a long time, not knowing what to respond to. If he loves a married woman, he might do the same.

"Be careful. Take good care of yourself. I'll say goodbye to you for her."

"thank you. I pray for your happiness. Forever."

Raymond bowed at a glance, then walked towards the door. One crystal clear grain slid down his cheek right after the door closed behind his back. Although he was claustrophobic, he was truly happy for Kinara and Alex. Now is the time to find your own happiness.

Nothing is eternal in this world, right?

She was sure her feelings for Kinara were as well. As time goes by, all that pain and loss inevitably disappears.
