In hotel room number 121, Raymond paced back and forth agitatedly. It's past five o'clock in the afternoon, but there's no word from Lorie yet. That woman really seemed to disappear into the earth. Alice kept reminding her that they had to be ready to check out of the hotel because they had to arrive at the airport one hour before departure.
The tidy Alice sat with a sour face on the sofa, watching Raymond walk back and forth while contacting her connections. The man never got this wrapped up for any business, including when he didn't preach it for days while they were fighting. Who exactly is Lorie?
There must be something going on between the two of them.
“Raymond, if you are not ready too, I will go to the airport myself,” Alice said as she stood up.
Raymond, who was busy, did not hear that word at all. He is reporting to local police about Lorie's disappearance. After all, when he asked the hotel security department to check the CCTV footage again, the officer informed him that one of the hotel's taxi drivers had reported Lorie's abduction this morning.
Of course it made him even more anxious and panicked to death. At least he knew what happened to Kinara Lee a few years ago. Some people who are in business with Alex Smith are not good people, fearing that Lorie also became a victim like Kinara.
“Raymond!” Alice raised the volume of her voice and snatched the phone from her fiance's hand. “I'm talking to you!”
“Restore my phone, Alice!”
For the first time Raymond raised his intonation. He recaptured the phone in Alice's hand and walked over to the window. While shaking his waist, he apologized to his interlocutor and resumed the conversation that had paused.
Behind her body, Alice was so angry that her entire body stiffened and trembled slightly. His eyes were a little teary because they were treated that way. Raymond never snapped at him, not once. The man was always gentle and polite, treating her like a princess. However, now the man even dared to snatch the phone back from his hands very roughly.
Alice clenched her fists and and clenched her legs violently. He threw the room access card on the table, then turned around and dragged his suitcase out of the room. Whatever Raymond would do, he would not care anymore.
“Fuck you and your old acquaintance, Raymond!” hiss the woman before slamming the door of the room firmly.
“Good, I'm going there now. Thank ye. Good afternoon.”
The man disconnected the phone and turned his body.
“Alice ... I ...”
The long silence paused the sentence that was not finished. Raymond stood up and circled around the room, but there was no sign of Alice anywhere. He went to the room and checked there, even going into the bathroom, still there was no trace of his fiancee anywhere.
The man stared in front of the bed and took a deep breath. She pulled her hair and sat for a while on the edge of the bed. He quietly complained inwardly, feeling Alice's attitude was too selfish and childish. All this time he just kept quiet whenever the girl arranged whatever she should or should not do, arranging for everything to go according to her will. However, this time he really could not leave Lorie just like that. Moreover, it was obvious that the woman was taken away by an unknown person. Where could he just keep quiet.
Raymond sighed once more before getting up and walking out of the room. Passing through the door that bordered the living room and bedroom, the man stepped quickly towards the table and picked up the access card lying there. He put it on the panel and pulled the doorknob.
As soon as he stepped out, the man was a little surprised to see two hotel employees already standing at the door of his room.
“Mr Raymond, can you please come with us to the police station to testify? According to my colleague on duty yesterday, you said that Miss Lorie is your friend?”
“Yes. Thas right. Incidentally once I just wanted to go to the police station to report.”
“Good. Please, Mr.”
As the man walked along to the elevator and down to the main lobby. There was a sedan waiting, ready to drive them to the police station. Raymond sat in the passenger seat and folded his hands between his knees. He was just feeling nervous right now, very worried about Lorie's condition. He sincerely wished the girl well and found soon.
