“There are other messages from my wife?” ask Alex to Lorie who's holding a laptop.
Lorie shook her head. “Nothing, Sir. Madam's phone still remains inactive,” she replied.
“Is the last position where his phone is located already found?” ask Alex again. His hands were trembling slightly from nervousness. I don't know why his premonition says something so bad is about to happen.
“Satellite is still searching, Sir,” replied Lorie while continuing to press the keybord and typing the search password.
Stupid girl, hang on .. I'm coming. Please, hang on, Alex prayed to me.
The man wished his wife well. There are many things that he has not been able to say, he has not been able to realize. He didn't want to lose his girl this way, completely unwilling. He was determined that if his enemy asked to exchange himself for Kinara, he would agree voluntarily.
“Me!” lorie exclaimed, still staring at the monitor screen in front of her seriously.
The last location sent by Kinara was still about half an hour's drive from here. He clicked on a red dot that shimmered on a computer screen. The distance between the last location and the location of the phone is about fifteen minutes. That means the travel time is still about three-four hours.
The girl turned her laptop and showed Alex the monitor. “The distance is almost an hour from here, Sir,”.
“Prepare the runway!” alex orders while standing up. He walked quickly to the terrace, then suddenly stopped his footsteps when he realized that his yard was wide enough to be used as a runway. “No. Get the chopper over here! Now!” shouted again.
There is not enough time to delay. Right now, even a one-minute time difference was precious.
“Good, Master!” replied one of the bodyguards who was walking behind Alex. He reached into his cell phone from his pants pocket and made a call.
“Stay send troops by car and motor, it will facilitate the search from the ground. Tell them to split up when they get to their destination. Check all buildings. No one is missed one bit. Tell some of the troops who will be combing on the ground to check the last location sent by my wife. Find the slightest clue it is, use it to track its whereabouts,” Alex commands in one breath.
The man picked up the semi-automatic weapon handed over by his men, then continued, “We go straight to the last location where the signal from his phone is located. That will save more time.”
“Understanding,” replied Lorie. He picked up a walkie talkie and began giving instructions
Alex gave additional orders in detail. He doesn't want to make any more mistakes. Letting Kinara go unattended from him was the biggest mistake he had committed. Don't let him make another mistake and make him completely lose the girl.
Lorie gave the instructions. “Tell at headquarters to bring weapons supplies. We'll need it.”
“Good.”
“Master, your bulletproof vest,” said one of the bodyguards as he handed the black jacket over to his master. He handed another one to Lorie.
Alex received the item and wore it behind a suit. Lorie put the thing on the outermost layer and walked quickly after Alex. Before long, the roar of the propeller rotating in the air sounded closer and closer. Alex looked up, three helicopters hovering up there.
One of the iron birds moved down. The wind from the rotation of the propeller makes the trees slant and sway fast, the dry leaves fly in all directions, but Alex does not care. He ran towards the heli, slightly ducking as his feet pressed on the footing to help him climb.
“Street!” lorie's orders after she made it in. He threw himself next to Alex and re-opened the laptop to see the area they were coming to. He sent his coordinates to the helicopter pilot and the head of the ground forces.
The girl let out a breath that felt heavy. Fortunately, Mr. Alex can still think more rationally. It did not cross his mind to use a helicopter. He was almost desperate when he found out the mileage is very long by using a car. His brain is completely dead. He really hopes that Kinara will not be attacked by panic attacks and can apply all of his exercises well.
Slowly the helicopter returned to space. Black cars belonging to colleagues who split from the yard look smaller as the height of the helicopter increases. Two heli that revolve around
the air immediately followed from behind. The sound of wind fluttering and the loud roar of the engine echoed in the air as the three iron birds shot out at high speed.
Many times Lorie looked out the window impatiently. He felt the helicopter he was riding drove like a snail, although in fact he also knew the pilot had reached the maximum speed limit. They are late for a long time. You could say all this because of his carelessness as well. Suddenly he felt like crying. What if something happened to her kind-hearted employer?
What if the butchers managed to capture Kinara, torture her, or even worse? He will feel guilty for life.
“Master, forgive me. I default ... um, I ...”
Lorie's voice sounded hoarse and vibrated. He swallowed his saliva to moisten his suddenly dry throat. His eyelids heat up, ready to spit out the clear grains that feel as hot as lava from the bottom of the earth. He looked up to dispel more and more puddles of water.
Alex cleared his vocal cords. “Not your fault. If anyone is to blame for this, it's me. I was too careless, letting my wife go unattended,” he replied.
“Already. Now is not the time to be melancholic. Focus your attention. Let's find him,” continued the man again.
Lorie's hand stretched out and held onto the iron that was curved over her head as the helicopter swooped sharply.
The decision to use a helicopter rather than a car is indeed very appropriate. The distance that should be taken 45 minutes can be reached in just about a quarter of an hour. The red flashing mark within the monitor screen in front of Lorie was now only a few hundred meters away from their current location.
“Master, we will soon land,” the girl said as she closed her laptop and picked up tactical equipment from inside the bag hanging on the helicopter wall. He handed Alex a set of equipment, then used his own.
Alex accepted and put on the equipment without much ado. His brain was being filled with many things right now.
Lorie activates thermal imaging and scans the area the helicopter passes through. Nothing is suspicious. Everything seems normal. Until finally the helicopter was only a few meters from the location of Kinara's cell phone was detected. Lorie's body stiffened when her scanner gave a visual picture of the bodies lying in various positions down there. He could not count how many bodies were scattered, but as he clearly knew, none of them moved. That means ....
“Master, under!!” lorie exclaimed as she took off her military tactical glasses. But he did not say a word when he saw the face of his master who was very scary. He was sure his master Alex had also seen what he had just witnessed.
The man's face was as white as cotton as it muttered, “Lown helicopter.”
The rotation of the propeller again made the pine trees sway fast. The dust splashes into brown wind coils, fusing with dry foliage. But this time a thick rancid aroma poured out in the air, making the stomach of anyone who smelled the scent churn and wanted to spill its contents. Plus the backup from the top displays a very accurate visual. How blood splattered in some places and pooled in others. Really messy.
Lorie pushed the door and blasted out even though the helicopter still had not retraced steadily above the ground. His hands were hooked with a Glock G47 that was ready to spew bullets.
“Save perimeter!” the girl exclaimed at her comrades jumping from within the two helicopters that had just landed.
The masked men immediately spread out, inspecting every body lying on the ground. Some people entered the old warehouse carefully.
Lorie's forehead frowned as she recognized the bloodied faces of bodyguard Brenda Smith. The girl crouched down and checked their pulse. The frown on his forehead deepened when he realized that none of them were alive. As well as the other bodies wearing anonymous masks, their bodies were cold.
Alex scanned the location quickly, his eyes squinting, looking for his wife's whereabouts with hardened jaws. He could not imagine how things were going here some time ago.
Was the girl hurt?
Bullet casings and gunpowder residue were scattered everywhere. Alex lost half his life when he had to comb the area to make sure his wife's body wasn't there. Fortunately, there was no sign that he had to bring home his wife's corpse.
Hold on Kinara, I haven't even said that I love you.
Alex was stunned for a moment when he realized his thoughts just now. When did he fall in love with that girl? Ever since their relationship grew closer and intimate, or since the girl chose to hang on and accompany him in the worst times he had to go through?
Both of the men's hands were tightly clenched. Why should being in a situation like this just make her realize the meaning of the girl in her life?
“Sial!” alex is desperate. What if he really lost his little wife?
“Master!”
Lorie's call took Alex's mind off. He looked back and found the girl pointing at the pair of heels that Kinara had been wearing. One pair of shoes was scattered, one was under a tree, the other was near a car.
Alex's eyes are squeaking. “How many cars have you come home?” ask her to the male bodyguard standing guard nearby.
“There are three cars,” replied the man.
Alex stared at the two cars before him with great relief. His face was filled with hope. Hopefully his guess is right. Hopefully his little wife managed to escape. He squatted down and watched the direction of the tire rotation. It seems that the girl still had time to stop to get someone in the car. Could it be that person is a granny?
Without realizing it, a smile spread across Alex's face. The little bit of hope he had made his chest bulge with happiness. Just like his wife who continues to cling to the belief that he will be cured even though the possibility is only a few percent. Now the same belief flourished in his heart, the belief that the girl had managed to escape and had survived.
“Back to helicopter. This car trail leads to the city border. Call all the troops to form a barricade on the road that my wife might pass!” alex shouted as he ran back to the helicopter.
“Good, Sir,” replied Lorie with a spring face. He knew what his master was thinking. He also has the same hope.
The girl pulled out her phone and sent a message before catching up with Alex.
Shadow 04 to shadow 01. Bring all troops, maximum power.
