Substitute Bride For Young Master

Substitute Bride For Young Master
Chapter 68's

Within two days, Amber's condition had fully recovered. Her face was back in a blush, not as pale as when crying in Lorie's arms some time ago. His cheeks looked more round and radiant. He was even able to run around excitedly in the house, again teasing Aslan and Aaron until the two boys asked their father to be given a separate mansion from the younger brother. Of course Alex didn't heed that ridiculous request.

Aslan, who inherits her father's character, can only stare at Amber with an intimidating look every time she throws a tantrum. While Aaron who is a little more chatty will certainly nag short lengths whenever Amber bothers him while doing schoolwork, or when they are getting extra tutoring at home.

In addition to disturbing his two brothers, Amber did not hesitate to pester the chef in the kitchen, or join digging the ground with the gardener, even occasionally go to feed horses in stables filled with various types of the best races. Surprisingly, not a single servant could be truly upset by the Young Miss's behavior.

To Lorie herself, she honestly felt that Amber's behavior was like a beacon in the middle of the darkness. The Spring Mountains were too gloomy, and the presence of Amber made everything more colorful, more meaningful.

Amber is very similar to Kinara. He is very active, but humble and knows how to respect others. Along with the girl, Lorie never saw her impolite to the servants, nor received reports that she was insulting one of the workers at the Smith Family residence. And he's very proud of it.

“Aunty, Amber has been teasing me ever since. I can't concentrate on making this mockup.” Aaron complained to Lorie with pursed lips.

“This must dry immediately because it will be collected on Monday,” he added again while glancing annoyed at Amber who was giggling while covering her mouth.

The girl was happy because she managed to make the tree in her sister's mockup turn light blue.

Lorie sighed and took a glance towards Amber. He sat down and asked, “Do you think this is funny?”

Amber looked at Lorie with her round eyes shining brightly, then nodded with great enthusiasm.

“Very funny,” answered with great confidence, then again chuckled with satisfaction.

“Are you happy that your sister was punished by your teacher?”

Amber was silent. He glanced back at the mockery on the table and suddenly felt that the light blue tree was not very cute anymore.

“Maf ...,” murmured while spinning his fingers slowly.

Aaron snorted and walked over to his sister.

“Help me fix it,” the boy commands while sitting down and taking the dark green acrylic paint.

Amber sat obediently by her brother's side. He then took a brush with a smaller tip, then helped Aaron dye the tree back in peace.

Aslan who was sitting not far away from them just rolled her eyes nonchalantly, then focused on her own task which was a little more about to be completed.

“You didn't do your job?” asked Lorie while crouching beside Amber.

“It's done,” replied the girl without turning her head.

“It's done?” Lorie's eyes are breaking. “When did you work on it? Why doesn't Aunty see you busy like your two brothers?”

Amber sneered before replying, “I finished it at school. Brother didn't finish on time, so Miss Kaitlyn told them to work on it at home.”

“What?” amber doesn't want to lose. “Measuring him do not get busy fighting, must study diligently.”

“You're fighting again?” asked Lorie while looking at Aslan and Aaron's face alternately.

However, it was Amber who first replied, “Yes, they both—Emph!”

The girl smacked Aaron's hand that was smothering his mouth.

“Shut!” aaron grumbled before releasing his hand. He turned to Lorie and said, “Aunty is beautiful, don't tell Daddy, yeah?”

“....”

Lorie didn't know what to say. In the end he could only sigh slowly and rub the boy's head, then look at Aslan who pretended to know nothing.

“This time Aunty won't complain, but next time—“

“Nothing next time!” aaron sidelines quickly while raising his index and middle fingers, forming a sign of peace.

Lorie smiled helplessly and said, “Quickly complete your task. If you can be fast, there may still be time to go play for a while.”

“Really?” Amber jumped up from her seat and held both of Lorie's hands. “Aunty no lie, ‘kan?”

“When did Aunty ever lie to you?”

Amber shook her head quickly and replied, “Never!”

He turned enthusiastically to his two brothers and gave the order, “Hurry, Brother! I want to go play!”

Aslan and Aaron of course did not like to be ruled like that, but they could only swallow that annoyance and speed up completing the task. They also want to go to the playground!

It's been a long time since they've been together. It's not that their dad or Uncle Billy never took them out for a walk. It's just, it's always been more fun being with Aunty Lorie. The woman always pamper them and obey whatever they want, while Father or Uncle Billy, the two people always forbid them to ride the rides that are “hazard”. Very tedious.

Lorie who noticed the change in expression of the three boys quietly stumbled into a smile. It felt so happy to see their eyes glowing excitedly. He had promised in front of Kinara's tomb that he would keep the triplets well. Therefore, he would keep his promise and do anything for the sake of the three boys. In his eyes, their happiness was the top priority.
