“When are we going back to Italy? My parents kept asking me when you would come with your dad and mom. Alice's face turned sour. He glanced sharply at Lorie while clenching his fingers, then clenched his jaws tightly so as not to reply with a sentence that would make his dignity as low as the sick woman.
Lorie lifted the piece of smoked meat with a fork, observing it seriously before putting the piece of meat into the mouth.
“This is really delicious,” murmured while chewing. “Where did you buy it?”
“One block before hospital.”
“Um. Next time you come, please buy it again.”
Alice forced a smile and replied, “Oke.”
Suddenly the door opened again and Doctor Ana stepped in with two nurses. The doctor's face looked serious.
“Nona Lorie, what do you eat? Already I said not to eat carelessly,” scolded him when he saw Lorie was stabbing the last piece of meat with a fork.

Lorie pulled the blanket over her head and replied, “Until she stopped bothering me.”

“You can tell Alex to move you, that way he won't bother you anymore,” he said before tidying up the equipment and walking out of the room.
