“Assalamualaikum Wr's. Wb.”
“Waalaikumsalam Wr's. Wb.”
I gave my greetings and all the students in the class returned the greetings. Just like any other student. The front seems to be excited about learning. Unlike the students at the back of the class. I don't know if there's going to be a seat turnaround like when I was in High School.
It was very helpful because I had started wearing glasses while sitting in 2nd grade High School. Imagine how hard it would be to see a distant whiteboard if you were wearing glasses.
“Good morning kids. Please introduce my name, Ray. The new teacher is here. I will teach for TKJ and Multimedia. Before starting the lesson anyone wants to ask?” Before I started studying I asked the students if anyone wanted to ask. There were some students interested in asking.
“Which graduate father sir?” ask one of the students in class.
“I graduated from private university in Yogyakarta”
“How long is the lecture sir?” The other students began to ask
“Standard is 4 years. more than that dear paynya” I answer questions one by one from the students.
The question I cannot answer is about work experience. Because this work as a teacher was my first job so I did not have any work experience elsewhere. Because I just graduated from my college, I've never worked anywhere other than college.
He had once been a mentor in religious education when he did not. But at that time the pay was not much. Working as a teacher is the first real job. Not even a quarter of UMR yogyakarta. hahaha.
“Bapak absent yes...” I started to open the absent book and started calling out the students' names one by one. Some are watching with enthusiasm, some are listening while chatting with their friends. When that moment happened I hardened my voice to sound more student.
When they realize that their absence is passing, they panic. The other disciples laughed at the behavior of the student.
“So, the first chapter material this time is..” I started teaching classes. The material this time is less than the maximum I explained. Because the package book does not exist and the basic competencies and other documents for this material are not ready. So I can't teach fully.
Fortunately there were some students who looked serious about taking notes and listening to me while teaching. But there are also students who do the opposite. Especially the boys. Because most girls are quieter. But once noisy immediately noisy.
Girl students there are some beautiful ones as well so it is good enough to refresh the eyes. Of course, do not glance too often because all students should we pay close attention.
“Sekian for the lesson this time, let's close by reading hamdalah”
“Alhamdulilah”
“eh, there's Ray. How to work smoothly?” Greet one of the teachers in the room.
“”Lumayan sir. Be biased in the spirit of his children, fuss over” I replied as I put the goods on the table and began to sit in my chair.
“Iya sir Ray, student class now mah.” The teacher began to talk about his experience teaching in another class. Not just first-class kids. He also talked about the other 2nd and 3rd graders. Automatically other teachers also join the conversation when discussing about students.
Like embers of fire, one side began to burn, starting to spread everywhere. Just as if the gossip of one person starts, everyone immediately joined the blessing together.
Though in religion I can not ghibah, what else slander. Because "Slander is more cruel than murder". But the sin of ghibah is also no less creepy, "the variety of eating the flesh of his own brother's carcass."
That's why if it's been too long gossip and my code to stop is not discussed. Usually I go out with the excuse to go to the toilet or find snacks.
Who we should hang out with is a choice. If there are office friends or colleagues who are less sreg, you have the option to avoid the person. But it is quite difficult if your workplace does not allow to go for walks like security guards and the like.
This time I went to the cafeteria to find a snack. But I saw a student I had just taught. His name is Doni, I think he was quite diligent and considerate when I taught.
"Eh, there's Doni. What snacks." I asked while giving my hand to salim
"Custom sir. Fry the same ice, laper" he replied as he kissed my hand
"Don't eat and drink standing up. Sunnah the prophet. You cannot eat and drink while standing. Because we're no different from how animals eat then."
After that lightning talk I started Jajan Cilok eggs. There was water in the teacher room. I just need to buy food. I must have eaten after I got to the teacher's room and sat in my chair.
The one I bought was pretty good. The spice fits and the forehead is good in the mouth. Unfortunately this food is too hot so it must be slowly or often blown.
Unfortunately when blowing food there must be a chatty teacher who always comments on food do not be blown. This is really unhealthy. But if pursued time inevitably must be accelerated eating it.
After I finished the break I continued my preparation for the next class. Hopefully, this class will be more interesting and students remain enthusiastic.

*this *Chapter is quite short because there are not many things that can be discussed from this topic. The next chapter will return in length like an ordinary chapter.
